The neighbors, watching the commotion, were amazed. When Cyneburg Wu returned home, some even brought incense burners to worship the Locust Tree, muttering prayers.
That evening, Cyneburg continued treating his mother, gave her a bowl of medicinal soup, and let her rest.
Arlet Tang had returned to her room early, and Cyneburg didn't bother to check on her.
Andi Wu was doing her homework in the study. Her grades were excellent, consistently ranking in the top twenty in the competitive County No. 1 High School, far surpassing Cyneburg's academic performance during his school years.
Cyneburg sat down in the study, watching Andi work. She pouted, "Brother, stop watching me. I can't concentrate."
Cyneburg smiled slightly, "Andi, I've learned a massage technique that can make you smarter. Want to try?"
Andi's eyes widened in disbelief, "Brother, are you kidding me?"
"When have I ever lied to you?" Cyneburg urged, "Come on, let me try it."
"What? Do you want to experiment on me? No way!" Andi immediately refused.
After some coaxing, she finally cooperated, allowing Cyneburg to massage her head.
Cyneburg's technique involved using his Profound Yellow True Qi to open the micro-meridians in Andi's brain. This technique, which required the Eye of Dimensions to perform accurately, could have severe consequences if done incorrectly.
He wasn't deceiving Andi; opening the brain's meridians indeed could make a person smarter and more quick-witted.
Cyneburg, a doting brother, now had extraordinary skills and first wanted to use them to improve Andi's academic performance. With her foundation and his methods, even becoming the provincial top scholar wouldn't be surprising!
At first, Andi thought Cyneburg was joking, but soon she felt exceptionally clear-minded, energetic, and comfortable.
"Brother, this is amazing! Where did you learn this massage?" she exclaimed in surprise.
Cyneburg replied, "That's a secret you must keep just between us."
Andi assured, "Don't worry, I won't tell anyone, not even Mom."
Half an hour later, Cyneburg asked her to test the effects.
"Test it?" Andi pondered, then picked an English reader, randomly opening a page and reciting it.
Normally, it would take at least half a day for an average person to memorize such a page. Even the previous Andi would need an hour.
But this time, after only two readings, she almost had it memorized, and by the third, she recited it fluently.
"Wow! This is incredible!" she exclaimed in astonishment.
She then opened a book on physics competition problems. The once-daunting problems now made sense to her, and she could solve most of them!
Andi was astounded by the effectiveness of the massage. Unbeknownst to her, Cyneburg was sweating profusely, looking exhausted.
Cyneburg patted her head, "Study hard. I'll massage you again tomorrow to make you the smartest person in the world."
Back in his room, Cyneburg began circulating his True Qi to recover his energy. Around 1 AM, he suddenly opened his eyes, stepped out into the yard, and effortlessly leaped over the wall, landing silently on the ground.
Then, he dashed towards Qingshan Park like a shadow, moving as fast as lightning.
Mingyang County had beautiful scenery, and Qingshan Park, located in the eastern part of the county and spanning over a thousand acres, was one of the most popular outdoor spots for locals.
At 1 AM, the park was deserted.
Cyneburg, like a ghost, arrived at a secluded spot halfway up the park's hill and began practicing a set of boxing techniques, the Five Dragons Sacred Fist, from the Profound Yellow Scripture of Heaven and Earth.
This technique was too noisy for practice in populated areas, forcing Cyneburg to find a secluded spot to avoid waking the neighbors.
The core of the Five Dragons Sacred Fist involved five internal dragons – the spine as the main dragon and the limbs as four smaller dragons. Once mastered, one could reach the realm of divine clarity.
Cyneburg had been practicing this technique for over a year. His spinal dragon was already formed, making his movements as powerful and unpredictable as a python.
He was now focusing on cultivating the dragons in his arms, which, once mastered, would allow for incredible flexibility and divine boxing skills. After more than half a year of practice, his arms were nearly perfected.
In the darkness, Cyneburg moved like a dragon, his arms like two smaller dragons, displaying techniques resembling a whip, hammer, sword, and stick, along with various hand and finger movements.
He practiced for over three hours, stopping only as dawn approached. His True Qi was steaming, his meridians fully open, with a fine mist rising from the top of his head.
He tucked in his chest and straightened his back, slowly finishing his practice and preparing to descend the hill and head home.
Just then, an elderly man and a young woman approached from the foot of the hill. The old man, dressed in a silver-white practice outfit and wearing traditional cloth shoes, had a clean-shaven face and appeared to be in his sixties, yet exuded vitality.
Beside him was a young woman, around nineteen or twenty years old, slender and pretty, with notably long legs, dressed in a bright purple practice outfit.
Seeing someone ahead, they veered towards a distant pavilion with an open space suitable for exercise.
Cyneburg glanced at them but didn't pay much attention, continuing his post-practice Qi circulation, a crucial time for refining his essence.
Half an hour later, more elderly people arrived at the park, and Cyneburg finished his practice, ready to head home. He had walked down a few steps when he noticed the young woman practicing a very gentle palm technique.
Her hands were delicate and appealing, tempting any man to touch them.
He stopped to watch, realizing with his medical expertise that her practice method was problematic.
"Why harm yourself and others with such yin energy?" he thought, shaking his head, deciding not to interfere, and continued down the hill.
The old man, with acute hearing, overheard Cyneburg's muttering. He looked towards Cyneburg and called out, "Young friend, please wait!"
Cyneburg stopped, thinking he might as well share a few pointers since the old man had heard him.
The old man, accompanied by the young woman, approached quickly and asked with a smile, "I heard you mention yin energy harming oneself. Could you elaborate?"
Cyneburg nodded, "It's nothing major. The young lady is practicing a gentle yin technique, but it's not done correctly, damaging her lung meridian. If she continues, it might lead to an early demise."
The woman reacted angrily, "What nonsense are you talking about? Damaging lung meridian, early demise? I'm perfectly healthy!"
Seeing her fiery temper, Cyneburg shrugged, "Forget I said anything," and walked down the hill.
The old man wanted to stop him but then thought better of it and let him go.
The woman scornfully said, "So many people pretend to know what they're talking about!"
The old man advised, "Kanan, be more tactful when speaking to others. Being so blunt can make enemies easily."
Kanan huffed, "I don't care about someone who talks nonsense like that."
The old man shook his head, returning to the pavilion, but suddenly his expression changed, and he stared intently at the ground.
"Grandpa, what's wrong?" Kanan asked curiously.
Sweat broke out on the old man's forehead as he murmured in awe, "A master, an absolute master!"
