chapter 15 uncle

Solarius was focused on learning medical arts and didn't care much about other things. He nodded and said, "That's fine, from now on, you will be my senior brother. As a senior brother, please accept my respect."
As a traditional Chinese medicine doctor, Solarius had great respect for the customs passed down from ancient China. His respect was sincere and genuine.
"Um..."
Seeing the old man with a full beard bowing to him and calling him senior brother, Maximilian felt a bit strange. However, this was the best outcome.
After everything was settled, Moros instructed his men to set up an altar for Reginald. Solarius then bowed to Maximilian as his teacher, and Maximilian, on behalf of Reginald, accepted Solarius as a peripheral disciple of the Ancient Medical Sect.
After all the ceremonies were completed, Seraphim said, "Mr. Prisca, now that Maximilian is your senior brother, we three old brothers should treat each other as equals from now on."
Upon hearing this, Moros and Sara were dumbfounded. This meant they had become juniors.
Especially Sara, who had just been glaring at Maximilian, was now his junior.
Seraphim didn't care about this. He called Moros over and said, "Moros, aren't you going to greet your Mr. Karsyn?"
"Um..."
Moros was embarrassed. After all, he was a well-known boss in River South, who dominated both the underworld and the regular world. Calling a young man his uncle was a bit hard to swallow.
Maximilian said, "Forget it, let's just call each other by our own names and treat each other as equals from now on."
Moros finally breathed a sigh of relief and patted his chest, saying, "Maximilian, if there's anything you need in River South in the future, just say the word. Your big brother will definitely take care of it for you."
With this hurdle passed, Seraphim showed no intention of letting Sara off the hook. He beckoned her over and said, "Sara, hurry over and greet your Uncle Karsyn."
Sara stomped her foot in anger and said, "Grandpa, I won't do it. He's not even older than me."
Seraphim sternly said, "Sara, you can't be without manners. Etiquette cannot be abandoned."
For families like theirs, traditional etiquette was highly valued.
This time, Maximilian didn't say anything, just smiling at Sara. The girl had just caused him quite a bit of trouble, and he wouldn't miss an opportunity to tease her.
"I..."
Sara glanced at Seraphim, knowing she couldn't get out of this situation. Eventually, she reluctantly said, "Hello, Uncle!"
Her voice was so low it was almost inaudible. Maximilian pretended not to hear her, saying, "I'm getting old, my ears aren't as good as they used to be. What did you say?"
Seeing him acting old in front of her, Sara gritted her teeth in anger. But considering Seraphim's face, she had to repeat louder, "Hello Uncle, did you hear that?"
"I heard it, I heard it!"
Maximilian said, "Since you've called me Uncle, I should show some kindness. Take this, as long as you follow the prescription and take the medicine, your body will be fine soon."
After saying this, he wrote out a prescription and handed it to Sara.
Having witnessed Maximilian's medical skills, Seraphim knew that each prescription he wrote was worth a fortune. He quickly said, "Girl, aren't you going to thank your uncle?"
"Beasley... Uncle!"
While Sara was saying this, she was seething with hatred for Maximilian. She secretly swore that when the day came that she had him in her hands, she would teach him a lesson.
At this moment, Maximilian's phone rang. It was a call from Ora.
"Maximilian, where are you?"
After experiencing two incidents together, Ora's relationship with him had become much closer, and her address was very affectionate.
"I'm out, what's up?"
"We agreed to have dinner together. A new restaurant called Drunken River South has opened in River South City. The food there is good. I've booked room number one. See you there at six o'clock."
Ora hung up after saying this.
Maximilian had also finished dealing with things on his end and didn't want to stay any longer. He told Seraphim and Solarius, "I have some other things to do, so I'll leave first."
"Alright, when you have time, let's have a good drink." Seraphim said to Sara, "Girl, drive your uncle home."
Sara was very depressed, but she had to listen to her grandpa. She pouted and led Maximilian out of the room.
Once outside, she immediately tore the prescription in her pocket to shreds and threw it into the nearby trash can, as if doing so could vent some of her anger.
Maximilian just smiled slightly. The lump in Sara's chest was not optimistic. Now that she had thrown away his prescription, she would suffer sooner or later.
When they reached the courtyard, Sara was about to head towards her Lamborghini sports car when she suddenly noticed a Jetta parked next to it.
This was the car the Kendyll family used for grocery shopping. It was usually left unlocked, and the keys were in the car.
"Hmph, daring to take advantage of me, I won't use my sports car to send you off. You're lucky to ride in a Jetta."
Thinking this, Sara went straight to the Jetta, opened the car door and said, "Get in!"
Maximilian naturally saw through her little scheme, but he didn't care. He opened the passenger door and got in.
Sara drove out of the villa, still fuming, and asked, "Where do you want to go?"
"River South Medical University. Stop at a kitchenware store on the way, I need to buy some things."
Sara seemed unwilling to say more than necessary, so she just drove on. About half an hour later, she stopped in front of a large kitchenware market.
Maximilian asked, "Do you want to go in with me?"
"I'm not going. Hurry up, I won't wait for you if you're slow."
Sara said in a disgruntled tone.
The thought of calling this man, who was younger than her, Uncle made her blood boil.
Maximilian smiled slightly and entered the kitchenware store.
As soon as he entered, a yellow-haired punk nearby took out his phone and dialed a number.
"Boss, I've found the kid Mr. Clinton is looking for. He's with a woman."
The person on the other end of the phone asked, "Who is the woman? Is it the Miss Lacie from the Lacie family?"
The yellow-haired punk said, "No, the woman is driving a broken Jetta. She doesn't look like a rich person."
"That's good. Keep an eye on them, I'll be right there."
The yellow-haired punk hung up the phone and kept his eyes on the door of the kitchenware store.
Maximilian soon came out of the store, carrying several large and small boxes.
He had now gathered all the ingredients needed to make the Foundation Pill, but he didn't have a pill furnace, so he had to buy some kitchenware to make do.
He put these things in the back seat of the Jetta, then sat in the passenger seat, and they continued on their way.
Not long after they had driven away, several off-road vehicles sped up and surrounded the Jetta. Then, a dozen punks armed with steel pipes and short knives jumped out of the cars.
The leader was a bald man, holding a large machete. With one swing, he shattered the front windshield of the Jetta, then pointed at the car and shouted, "Get the hell out!"
The punks behind him also began to swing their steel pipes at the Jetta, smashing it to pieces in the blink of an eye.
