Originally, Violet turned back to ask Jackson about the progress of the 750,000-dollar deal. However, as she turned around, she heard Jackson bragging to the security guards, which instantly infuriated her.
"Who didn't allow him to get into bed, huh?"
"Who slept with him?"
After yesterday's incident at the café, Violet's impression of Jackson had slightly improved. But now, due to Jackson's foolish behaviour, it turned negative again.
But right after she finished speaking, she realized the atmosphere suddenly became quiet.
The security guards all wore knowing looks, thinking to themselves, "Look, even President Violet said she didn't stop Jackson from getting into bed."
Doesn't that mean they slept together last night?
For a moment, all the guards looked at Jackson with newfound respect, admiring him for conquering even the elusive gem of Jimstantham City.
Violet was initially confused, but when she saw the ambiguous looks from the guards towards her and Jackson, she quickly understood and nearly fainted from anger, realizing she had fallen into Jackson's trap. Knowing any further explanation would only fuel more speculation, she stomped her foot and left.
Jackson quickly followed her, smiling, "You're not really angry, are you?"
"I'm not angry. Just reminding you, if you can't complete the 750,000-dollar deal within a week, let's see how you can stay here with dignity," Violet retorted with feigned pride.
"Don't forget, if I complete the deal, you promised to kiss me," Jackson said cunningly.
Violet blushed, realizing she hadn't considered this possibility. She suddenly became worried. What if Jackson, that despicable guy, really completes the deal? She didn't want to give a kiss, especially her first one.
"We'll talk about it when you complete the deal!" Dropping these words, Violet hurried away.
Watching Violet leave, Jackson chuckled, "Little girl, you're no match for me in being cunning!"
Back at the business department, Jackson pondered over Sophia's order, expecting it to arrive in the next few days.
Jackson was in the business department to inspect the grassroots level, so he didn't have to worry about the busy trivial matters of the department. He relaxed, playing with his phone and drinking tea with his legs crossed, looking leisurely amidst the busy employees.
If it were any ordinary employee, they would have been scolded long ago, but Jackson was different.
Since the day before yesterday, when Chairman Apollo personally invited Jackson to dinner at the business department, everyone knew that Jackson was a special commissioner. They were too eager to please him, lest reprimand him.
"Mr. Jackson, let's have lunch together, my treat!" Right at lunchtime, Leader Wade from the second group of the business department came over to Jackson.
"Sure," Jackson agreed.
Griffith Group, being a large enterprise, had a staff canteen that offered both free and paid meals.
To show sincerity, Wade spent a lot of money, and just treating Jackson to this meal cost over a thousand dollars.
"Leader Wade, thanks for the meal today," Jackson said, picking his teeth and smiling after eating.
"Mr. Jackson, as long as you don't hold my recklessness from the day before yesterday against me," Wade replied with a forced smile.
"That's a small matter, don't worry about it," Jackson laughed heartily. He knew Wade had harboured some retaliatory thoughts against him the day before, but they dissipated with Apollo's arrival.
For Jackson, if an enemy admits their mistakes sincerely and doesn't cross his line, he's willing to forgive them based on his mood.
Wade was so compliant, and Jackson felt comfortable enough not to trouble him further.
"Isn't that our second group's Mr. Wade? Wow, this meal must have cost a lot. Does your group have so much money?"
Suddenly, a discordant voice sounded from behind, accompanied by a nauseatingly cheap perfume scent.
Argh.
Jackson almost vomited. Having just finished eating, the sudden whiff of a pungent smell easily triggered a nauseating sensation.
Turning around, he saw a middle-aged woman resembling a big sister. She had yellow wavy curls, a barrel waist, a sallow complexion, and the cheap scent of perfume emanating from her.
"Lily, what I eat is none of your business, right?" Wade complained unhappily. Lily, the leader of the first sales team, had always suppressed his performance. Now, she even teased him for eating a meal. Was she sick?
"I can't control that, but seeing how lavishly you're eating, and considering the poor performance of your team, be careful not to run out of salary," Lily chuckled.
Wade was about to explode in anger, but was stopped by Jackson sitting beside him.
"Hey, auntie, could you not wear this kind of cheap street stall perfume next time? Can't you be a bit more classy? After all, you are the leader of the first sales team. Meeting clients with this ghostly appearance, they might just flip the table and leave," Jackson 'kindly' suggested.
"Who are you calling auntie?!" Lily finally noticed Jackson, her voice rising by an octave.
"Who else here besides you is an auntie?" Jackson replied, as if it was obvious.
"How dare you insult me? Do you know who I am?" Lily said, infuriated to the point of spitting while speaking.
Jackson's identity was only known within a small circle in the security and sales departments. Many people in the Griffith Group didn't know who Jackson was.
Seeing that Jackson had offended Lily, the employees in the restaurant showed peculiar expressions.
Lily was known for her bad temper and poor popularity. Her performance was only boosted by her subordinates, and she herself didn't contribute much.
The reason she was the leader of the first sales team was that she had a lover in the Griffith Group serving as a deputy manager.
This was an almost universally known secret in the company.
Now that Jackson dared to confront Lily, it was equivalent to disregarding that deputy manager. Everyone thought this young man was doomed.
"I don't care who the hell you are. Keep yelling at me, and I'll have you thrown out of the company," Jackson declared, having had enough of Lily's spit flying everywhere.
"Kick me out of the company? Young man, don't bite off more than you can chew!" Lily laughed as if she had heard the funniest joke, almost bursting into tears.
"Security!" Jackson shouted.
Just then, a team of security guards was patrolling the restaurant, led by the security chief, Zyaire.
"It's Young Master's voice!" Upon hearing Jackson, Zyaire immediately led his team to Jackson's side.
Seeing the security guards, Lily's eyes lit up. Her status in the company was well-known, and Zyaire, the security chief, often fawned over her.
"Security, kick him out of the company!" Lily commanded, her expression radiating smugness, thinking she was about to see Jackson thrown out.
However, the expected scene of the security guards taking action didn't happen. Zyaire and his team remained motionless, their eyes fixed on Jackson.
"What are you waiting for? Get him out of here now!" Lily impatiently demanded.
Zyaire, however, completely ignored her. He cautiously stepped forward, stopping in front of Jackson, and then asked in a very respectful tone.
"Young Master, how would you like us to handle this situation?"
