Chapter 16 She knelt down

His harsh voice, though not loud, was obviously heard in this silent banquet hall.

All family members present felt startled on hearing this.

They had been grateful for the God since Qilong Sun was eventually about to leave. When they felt somehow relived, something unexpected happened at this crucial time that, all of a sudden, Andy the idiot came up with such surprising words which made things even worse.

At this moment, all family members immediately cast a disdainful glance at Andy, and couldn’t help wanting to send him to the hell on the spot!

Jenny was extremely intense and was also shocked by his words; without any hesitation, she walked quickly to Andy and stood in front of him, “Shut up! Who allowed you to speak?” Jenny shouted angrily. She knew that Andy was defending her, but what he did was no more than offending a furious tiger which would bring her and her family infinite trouble!

After that, Jenny walked quickly to Qilong and stood beside him, “Sorry, Mr. Sun. My husband got something wrong with his head. I beg you to forgive him,” Jenny apologized cautiously.

Her heart was shaking for fear that Andy had provoked Qilong.

In fact, Qilong was even more anxious when Andy got angry. He knew how frightening Andy was, so he immediately apologized to Jenny, “What your husband said is right; we should apologize for disturbing while you were eating."

After speaking, he turned around and shouted at Qin Zou, “Apologize to Ms. Xia right now!” cried Qilong immediately.

Qilong’s reaction made all the people present astonished. They were in great doubt.

Qin Zou was stunned to dumb, and even suspected that she had misheard that. How could it be?

It was acknowledged that her husband Qilong was known for being tough in Westplain City and no one would dare to provoke him. Every time he got in trouble, no matter how hard it was, he would always handle it properly. But now, what made him a coward in front of Xia family? Why did she have to apologize to Jenny?

Qin Zou couldn’t believe it and shouted at Qilong, “Don’t you know her husband is an idiot? Why are you listening to him?”

Crack!!!

Qilong slapped her heavily on the face and rebuked her angrily, “I told you to apologize to Ms. Xia!”
His words were very determined without any room for negotiation.

Although he was part of the gangsters, he had never slapped her once. This was the first he had slapped Qin Zou.

Qin was completely stunned for she had never seen he got furious like this. She was frightened, and didn’t know what to do. Not daring to contradict him again, she forced herself to apologize to Jenny, “Sorry,” said she reluctantly.

Jenny was totally confused. She couldn’t believe that things would change in such a dramatic reversal: Qin, that arrogant woman, eventually apologized to her and lowered her head in front of her! What’s more, Qilong the big shot forced her wife to apologize to her! All these were beyond Jenny’s imagination.

She was too excited to speak.

So were the other family members. They felt like falling into a dream.

“Kneel down to apologize!” said Andy, abruptly.

He showed no patience and kindness to this woman who had forced her wife to kneel down to apologize.

However, his words had made things worse again.

All the family members were angry to faint. It was already flattered that Qin would apologize to them, which could, after all, prove that Qilong stopped looking down upon them. However, to their surprise, Andy was dissatisfied with it but even wanted Qin to kneel down. For Qin and Qilong, it was never unacceptable!

All the family members couldn’t stand him anymore and began to reproach him, “You are such an idiot! What are you talking about? Now that she is willing to apologize, why still you ask her to kneel down?”

“You’ve gone too far. If you want to die, do it yourself. Never involve us in!”

“He is just a fool, and has nothing to do with us. Mr. Sun, you just do it if you want to give him a lesson!”

People of Xia family showed their stance one after another lest they should have gotten involved in this incident.

Nevertheless, they would never know about what Qilong was thinking about.

In Qilong’s heart, Andy was the one that he would never dare to provoke and people like him was not whom he could offend. Now that Andy has required, he had no choice but to accept his request no matter how reluctant he actually was, “Kneel down to apologize to Ms. Xia.”

Hearing this, Qin felt like being struck by lightning. She stared with wide eyes and asked Qilong incredibly, “What? You ask me to kneel down?”

She hates Jenny. That she could lower her head to apologize to her has reached her limit that she could stand. Making her to kneel down to Jenny was unacceptable than killing her on the spot.

“Yes. Kneel down to apologize. Right now!” cried he word for word.

She was almost bursting into tears and shouted at Qilong in a chocking voice, “On what ground could you ask me to do that? Obviously, I’m the victim who has been beaten. You didn’t defend me and help me out; instead, you ordered me to kneel down. How could you? Why did you listen to an idiot?”

She felt so grieved and that she even lost her hope to live on. Yesterday, Mr. Guo fired her for the sake of Jenny and humiliated her in front of others; today, her husband forced her to kneel down to her. She just didn’t know what was wrong with them?

People of the Xia family present were all shocked for what was going on which was totally beyond their imagination. What a strange thing!

Jenny was also shocked by this and didn’t know what Qilong had in his mind. Why did he follow everything Andy said?

Even though Qin was willing to kneel down, Jenny could have never dared to allow her to do so.

Considering this, Jenny said immediately to Qilong, “Mr. Sun, my husband has a blockhead who always speaks without consideration. Please forgive him.”

“I know my wife’s temperament. She is just spoiled by me at home and don’t know how to hold back her arrogance and willfulness. Today, I must give her a lesson since she has done something wrong indeed; otherwise she might bring me more trouble in the future.

After explaining to Jenny, Qilong shouted at Qin ferociously again, “Didn’t you hear my order you to kneel down?”

His voice was extremely loud; his eyes were opened as widely as he could with his anger almost overwhelming him.

Knowing her husband’s temper, Qin was shocked to tremble. He is the man who will spoil you, but the premise was you must listen to him. Once you contradict him, the results will be grave.

Reluctant though she was, but under the presser of Qilong, she finally knelt down in front of Jenny.

“Sorry. I was wrong.” said Qin.

At this moment, she has already cried with tears on her face.

Seeing Qin kneeling down so poorly on the ground to confess, Jenny, in fact, was very happy with ease, because after all, she was too annoying. However, her husband was Qilong Sun, a well-known man that Jenny would never dare to offend and still dare not be too hard on his wife. Therefore, she hurried to let her up, “That’s ok. Get up on your feet.”

As Qin cast an eye over Qilong, he glanced at Andy, trying to see through what he was in mind.

Seeing that Andy didn’t have any reaction, he became relieved then and said to Qin at once, “Now that Ms. Xia has forgiven you, let’s go home now.”

Then, with all eyes on them, escorted by a crowd of security guards, Qilong and Qin left in dejection.

After their leaving, Jenny came up to Andy with her legs still quaking for fear and rebuked Andy angrily, “Andy Wu, Did you know what you were doing? You almost took me to death!” said Jenny in a voice of crying. She was really freaked to death!

“She should apologize for her fault,” said Andy naturally.

His worlds completely provoked Guilan who was just standing beside them. She shouted at Andy,” You such an idiot, do you know who Mr. Sun is? How could you make such an over-claim to his wife? If he harbored resentment, I will beat you dead!”

At this time, the rest of the family members awoke from astonishment but still felt fearful for what has just happened. Hearing what Guilan said, they poured all their anger on Andy and cursed him one after another.

All of a sudden, Andy became the target of public criticism.

But he didn’t care about it at all, and kept helping himself to the delicious cuisine on the table.

When the public was in a mess, the old lady if Xia family began to speak. “All right. Please be seated.”

The banquet hall was suddenly restored to peace again.

People present including Jenny, were all shut up and went back quickly to their seats.

The old lady looked at Jenny. “Don’t take Andy here the next time we get together for family dinner!” said she harshly.

Jenny nodded her head gently. “OK,” replied she. In the previous family dinner, Andy scorned Bill and contradicted the old lady. He did even worse this time that he almost went to the hell by ordering Qilong. She didn’t know for sure what he would do next time. Even though what he did was to protect her, she didn’t want to set him in risk any more.

Bill was standing beside Jenny and couldn’t help scolding her, “I’ve told you before that, silly as Andy was, he was not qualified to eat at the table. But you didn’t take my advice. But for our profound family strength that scared Qilong, you would have stirred up a big trouble to your family.”

After finishing his words, Bill turned around and asked the old lady, “Grandma, is grandpa familiar with Mr. Feng? Why is he so obedient to your words?”

The old lady thought for a while and answered, “In fact, your grandpa and Mr. Feng are just acquaintances who had dined together for one or two times. The reason why I talked about him was to remind Mr. Sun to give us some respect. But to my surprise, Mr. Sun should have placed righteousness above family loyalty for the sake of our family, which is really beyond my expectation.”

“What? They don’t maintain a profound friendship? Will he get back at us after he asked Mr. Feng for verification?” asked Bill anxiously. He was embarrassed to realize that Qilong could have been so honest was not because of his grandpa. But the truth is that they don’t have a very close relationship with each other, and grandpa was just like a fox taking advantage of a tiger.

Considering that they would probably be revenged someday, the other family members began worried and jittery.

The old lady stared at Bill and scorned him, “keep it down lest others should know about this.” In fact, the old lady was also afraid the severe result once it was known by Shengli Feng.

“Mr. Feng is here,” a voice rang up at this moment outside the banquet hall.
