Chapter 26 Putting the House in Order

The usher had shouted the formidable names in a row with a raising voice.

The seven big shots showed up at the same time, it‘s like the sky above the Westplain was lit up by them.

Any one of these big shots had sufficient power to hold up half of the city.

Right now, they gathered together, got in the Breeze hotel, it was such a spectacular scene!

The Xia family in the lobby, heard the calls of the name which reverberated like thunder in their ears merely deafening them, all turned to look at the hotel gate. They had watched them with fascination as they entered one after another.

It would be an immensely great honor to meet any one of these big shots for the Xia family, moreover, they got to see the most renowned peoples in the Westplain at the same time, it’s hard for them to believe.

Their hearts jumped wildly.

The prominent figures paid no attention to the family, no doubt, Andy was the only reason they came here for.

Needless to say, Jianye Yang was called here on purposely by Changsheng Li, as the person in charge of all Changsheng Group business in Westplain, his high status spoke for itself.

Last time, Shengli Feng had the dinner at Yuting Hotel as well as the other five people, they had witnessed the fight between Shengli and Andy, and got to learn the strength of Andy.

On this occasion, Andy Wu had this elaborate plan to flourish in front of the Xia family, which need help from someone special. Shengli along with these companions would like to play the supporting roles to make Andy the glorious hero.

These people were shrewd enough to know the relation with Andy would surely be beneficial. Sure enough, each one of them had prepared him a great gift today.

They looked over the crowd, searching for Andy soon after stepped in the lobby.

However, they did not find the hero today- Andy Wu, that’s confused them.

Knowing that Andy was absent, Susu Qin, the big boss of Breeze hotel, leaned her head toward Yong Cheng, the manager at the gate, asked, “Where is Mr. Wu?”

Yong Cheng answered blankly, “Which Mr. Wu do you mean?”

Jianye Yang stood beside Susu Qin, cut in, “The one came by Maybach, he was the last arrival.”

Yong Cheng listened and understood, then explained in hurry, “It seems he was traumatized somehow and has been taken to the mental hospital.”

Upon hearing this, the color drained from their seven faces, it was completely beyond their expectation, they had come all the way here to enhance him, also regard this as a chance of impression. None of them had expected the ‘hero’ would be hospitalized to a mental institution.

“Things have changed, let’s go to the hospital find out what happened,” Jianye said, frowning.

The others showed agreement that finding Andy Wu was the top priority.

But it would be disrespectful to leave the Xia family behind simply like this. Although they were merely a second-rate family, a powerful son-in-law as Andy had raised the tone of this household, people would certainly choose to be civil to such a family.

Susu then walked forward and spoke to the Xia family, “Please enjoy the dinner, it’s our honor to serve you!”

Susu Qin was the owner of Breeze hotel and the most powerful woman in Westplain，her capability was self-evident by the prosperous and the status of her business. Thanks to her social connections with both government and underworld, merely people in this city dared to piss this female off.

Seen them talked with Yong Cheng at the gate, the family got nervous about their intention, well, as Susu approaching, the tension had been displaced by thrill，they were too excited to say a word.

The old lady was the first one got her head around, she rose swiftly, replied to Susu, “Ms. Qin, that’s very kind of you!”

Jianye Yang, Shengli Feng and the rest of them also went for a greeting.

Mrs. Xia and the other family members all felt flattered, she smiled with her eyes squinted as a response to the regards from these big shots.

The big shots then hurried away after the greeting.

The Xia family has been left in flabbergast in the lobby.

“What’s all this about?” Someone couldn’t help but ask.

The old lady had a pause and then said, “I see, I know what is going on here, it was related to my husband. Last time Mr. Feng saved our face at Yuting hotel, and then, they all came and paid a warm visit today, they have prepared this surprising event to show they respect to our family, thus it can be seen that the old man was remarkable in this connections.” Her voice sounded firm as the words flew from her parted lips.

It was beyond her comprehension earlier who could offer the family such extraordinary treatment and brought the honor to their forebears.

Then, she had figured it out upon Mr. Feng’s appearing, that the credit all belonged to her old man.

She now understood that the Changsheng group cooperated with the Xia family must also for the sake of the old man!

Though he was dead, the influence he left to descendants was worth a fortune.

Interlaced with her words with the behaviors of these big shots, the family members came to understand that the treatment they had enjoyed was due to the remaining influence of the old man. They made this family look good, took this as a great gift, it was also out of their respect to him.

Back from the Breeze hotel, all family members convened here. The old lady sat at the head of the table in perfect profile, in front of the whole family, to judge Guilan Huang and Jenny Xia.

The old lady had never really liked they two, In her mind, her son, the husband of Guilan, died because of Guilan, as she was fated to be a widow. And then, Jenny Xia, daughter of Guilan, married a fool who had disturbed the peace of the family and damaged their reputation.

As the Xia family was about to revival, it’s time to get rid of these two stumbling blocks.

Today, she was going to put her house in order.

After a discussion with the elders in the family, the old lady made the decision, “Here I announce, since today Jenny Xia and Guilan Huang are no more our family member, and Jenny has to leave Anjule, and never back to the company again.”

Jenny felt dizzy upon hearing this.

As a saying goes, misfortunes never come singly while fortunes never come together. The chaos caused by Andy already dropped her from heaven to hell, and the roughest part of the whole thing was getting expelled with mum and kicked out the company by her grandma, she couldn’t take it anymore.

She looked at the old lady with tears in the eyes，said earnestly, “Grandma, it’s too much.”

“Mrs. Xia, I was wrong, well I still don’t deserve this,” Guilan was shocked as if she was stroke by lightning, shrieked out her grievance.

The old lady remained calm, said, “It’s an order, the die is cast, just leave.” She had long wanted to expel these ‘banes’, thanks to Guilan had given offense to the whole family and created a probable cause to kick them out once for all.

“One rotten apple could ruin a whole barrel of apples, just get out of here, your stay will contribute nothing but humiliation to our family.”

“We don’t do charities, go find someone else to harm.”

“Just go live your life with the fool and stop dragging us into troubles.”

All the rest of the family members chorused their agreement. They had become the hardhearted expeller at this very moment.

It ripped Jenny up inside, the tears she had long held rush out of her eyes eventually, she cried to beg, “Grandma, please, please don’t do this to me.”

She had been cornered by life, the family was the only one she could rely on, the brutal betrayal was the last thing she wanted.

The old lady turned a blind eye to her tears, said straightforwardly, and coldly, “Out!”

One word only, cold and loud，ruined Jenny’s last hope, her body and expression on her face were frozen, only tears dropped down from the eyes. The blood and family relationship all dissolved into implacability, she felt nothing warm inside except a dead heart.

Dried her eyes, Jenny said to Guilan, “It’s time to go.” And then turned away, left a despairing and sorrowful back.

Guilan walked beside Jenny, tramped outwards, every step she took was difficult. At this point, the hatred filled her bosom, the hatred for the cruel family, and for the stupid Andy, who hurt her daughter Jenny, made her against the whole family and also got Jenny expelled.

Carried a millstone on their heart, this mother and daughter went silently under the cold eyes of the whole family.

“Wait,” a voice suddenly came out at this very moment.

Jenny was in despairing, she stopped, turned her head backward.

She saw Bill coming straight towards her.

“You still owe ninety thousand dollars to Julia’s Boyfriend, as you are leaving the family, it time to pay him back, right?” Bill hated Andy, was also unhappy with Jenny, he was longing for them to be miserable.

Many show their love in times of trouble, to light up the hope for people in despair. But this was not the case on Jenny, here in this family had no one stood at her side to defend her or make her stay, the families here were all despicable person like Bill to add insult to her injury.

She had come around, and her heart sank into the ice，hopeless and desperate. She took out the car keys from the bag, said indifferently, “my car is worth at least a hundred grand, take it.” Then, she threw the keys to Bill and left.

Outside the villa, Guilan asked Jenny in an anguished voice, “Jennie, how could you give the car to Bill? how can we do without the car?”

Jenny didn’t feel like talking, just answered a few words, “Take a taxi and go home, I will go for a walk alone.”

And then quickened her pace to leave without waiting for a reply.

In the beginning, she walked fast and far, which drained all her energy, then she slowed her pace down, walk slowly and aimlessly, like a ghost, wandering around the streets of Westplain.

The hurly-burly city and shining sun didn’t spare a single ray of warmth upon Jenny, she lived in a big and cold world.

As the sun went down, the day wore away and the night drew on, Jenny had walked a whole day in the high heels, her blistered feet still couldn’t stop her, only in this endless hike could she feel alive.

Nevertheless, living in pain, Jenny thought herself a decent person, she had never followed wicked ways or did anything against her conscience but strove to live and showed kindness to others. Still, her life stuffed with a series of hardships and obstacles that led her to end up to this kind of stage.

“God, why are you treating me like this?” Jenny shouted inside.

She was walking on a quiet alley by the time, a minivan was rolling forward, and stopped by Jenny unexpectedly. Before Jenny could take any action, the door was opened, two people rushed off the van, knocked her out and dragged her into the van.

One hour later.

Suburb, a small villa, in the bedroom.

Jenny was awake from the faint, slowly opened her eyes, and found herself laid on a big bed and took a while to recall the scene that somebody had knocked her out.

Then she got her guard up and sat up sharply, the bedroom door opened at this moment, Shihao Wang strode in.

“I’ve heard you have been expelled from the Xia family?” Shihao stared at Jenny，savoring the words.

She underwent a violent repulsion from her at the sight of Shihao.

Jenny had a horrible impression of him for things he had done, the kidnap made it worse. She was trembling with anger，yelled at Shihao indignantly, “I’ll never be with you even I’m homeless, just drop it!”

Shihao’s lips curled into a sneer, “Nobody wants you, I lied, I have no intention to marry you, and why would I marry a married woman, my purpose is simple and pure, to get your laid.” His evil nature was revealed at this moment.

Hearing this, her heart quivered, she looked at the hungry wolf-like man in front her, then she said, terrified, “what you want to do?”

Shihao pulled his belt out, garbed in the hand, yelled at Jenny fiercely, “Take your clothes off!”
