Chapter 3 The prince

May Song wake up in the morning. She looked around the empty room in a trance.

It was her 24th birthday yesterday. Sean had probably forgotten it, or he never remembered it. He held the beautiful roses and spent the night with the other woman, leaving her only a cold back.

     May wore clothes and went downstairs. Jean Yang greeted her.

     "May, come and have your breakfast."

     Jean Yang was probably the only hope in this family. May did not want to expose her bad emotions in front of her, so she nodded and sat.

     "May, Mom knows Sean made you sad again last night. Don't be sad. Mom has always been on your side. Sean could understand the woman he should be together with is you."

     Jean comforted softly.

      May's eyes were a little hot, and she didn't answer.

     Jean sighed and put the chopsticks in her hand. "Sean left early in the morning. I'll let the driver drive you later."

     When she was speaking, Aunt Xu took a newspaper and came in.

     "Ma'am, the newspaper."

     Aunt Xu was too late to take back the newspaper.

     May's eyes were on the headlines of the newspaper.

     It was a picture of a man kissing an actress. The place was taken in a hotel.  Sean didn't go home at all last night.

     "May."

     "Mom, I'm full. I go to work now."

     May stood up blankly, took the bag, and walked towards the entrance.

     Jean could only watch her drive away.

     Aunt Xu came over with some anxiety, "Ma'am, it's my fault."

     "Not yours." Jean sighed and turned her face a lot sharper, "Call Sean, let him come back tonight unless he doesn't want to recognize me as his mom!"
