Chapter 14 Stranger

"Wait!"

There came a girl’s voice from back of Josh, he turned around and saw a girl with pony tail, dressed in white jacket and blue jeans, eyes gleamed with the beauty of youth.

She’s gorgeous!

It was the first thing that hit Josh’s mind, after which he fixed his eyes on her until the girl walked near them and said to the manager:”I’ll pay the bill, card.”

And her voice was charming! Second thought in Josh’s mind.

“Are you sure, lady? They could be just two liars.” Said the manager, surprised at what just happened.

“I know, and that’s it, just take the card.”

“Well...okay.” The manager nodded, took the card and headed downstairs, as much as he want the police to take care of Josh and Fatty, making money was always the restaurant’s first priority. As for the other diners, they found it a pity that the girl just believed them so easily.

“Thank you so much for believing us!” Said Fatty.

“You’re welcome, we could all be in situation like this.” The girl smiled back.

Josh was also surprised that there would really be someone who’s willing to help, let alone that she’s a gorgeous girl. He asked out of curiosity:”Greetings, I’m Josh. May I ask why did you choose to help us? We could be liars, like the manager said.”

“Whoever you are doesn’t matter! If you are liars, well, I’m just stupid then, but if you’re not, then I just helped two people out when they need it.” Said the girl.

It was at that moment that Josh realized what would a kind person be like.

Soon the manager got back and said to the girl:”The payment’s finished, here’s your card and receipt, Miss.”

What Josh promised came back to his mind, he said to the girl:”I’ll give you an IOU now, can I have your number so that I can give you back the money tomorrow? As I promised, ten times more.”

But the girl turned him down:”Thank you, but I’m not doing this for your money, See you!”

Then the girl left and Josh was surprised again, she just did it out of pure kindness without asking anything in return.

“Josh...this is...”Fatty stuttered.

“Let’s catch her up, Fatty!”

They immediately dashed out of the restaurant, Josh shouted to the girl as he caught her in sight:”Can I at least have your name?”

The girl stopped, turned around and said:”Stranger.”

Then she got into white Aodi A4 parked nearby, soon the car drove away.

“Stranger...” Josh mumured.

“Josh...is that it? Just let her leave like that?” Asked Fatty.

“I want to return the favor, too, but we got nothing of her to find out who she is.” Said Josh as he threw up his hand.

But suddenly Josh patted his own head and shouted:”The car, the plate number! Damn, I was lost when she got up the car and didn’t pay attention to it. Have you got the number, Fatty?”

“Uh, no, I was lost, too.” Said Fatty.

“I owe her so much...let’s just see if we can see her again.”

Josh had barely met anyone with that level of kindness in his life, he would dearly to see that girl again, however the low the odds of if were.

“Wait, and that bastard who stole my wallet! Damn it, I’ll find him!” Said Josh as he thought back, that thief was the one that put him under such embarrassment.

“I’ll help you with it, Josh, we’ll get him!” Said Fatyy.


Meanwhile, on the car that just drove away, the girl that helped Josh and Fatty out had forgot about how she laid Josh a helping hand.

Her phone rang all of a sudden, and she picked it up:”Hey, daddy.”

“Jenny, the party tomorrow is significant to our company, don’t be late for it.”

“Sure, daddy, I won’t be.” The girl said so, but she looked worried,”But dad, our company stands no chance against other competitors, we don’t possess a large market share nor do we have advantage in prices, it’s still not likely that we can be Huading’s partner this time, we may have to file for bankruptcy if we fail again.”

The man on the other side of the call stay silent for a while and said:”It’s true that we don’t have that much advantages, let’s just show Huading our sincerity, then just wait for a miracle.”

The next day was nothing more than a ordinary Saturday to most people, but to Josh it was the party day Bob planned for him where all the company that has connection to Huading Group were invited.

Josh arrived at the Qingyun Hotel, where Bob booked for the party, at nine am. He headed for the VIP lounge on the second floor, took his phone out and started playing games on it. He’s a hard-working student in school, but he’s also a game lover.

The door of the lounged were opened and a mid-age man walked in, he said to Josh:”Greetings, Chairman Josh, I’m Chairman Bill of Qingyun Hotel, glad to see you here.”

As influential and famous as Qingyun hotel is in the Qingyang City, Huading Group outpowered it in every aspects. Though Josh is just a chairman of Huading’s branch in the Qingyang City, Bill held him in highest esteem, not to mention that Josh was the grandson of Moses Liu.

“So you’re Bill, I’ve heard about you.” Said Josh as he looked up from the phone.

“It’s my honour. So the stories are true, the young chairman of Huading’s branch is truly talented.” Said Bill smilingly.

“Thank you, Bill.” Said Josh as he thought back on the old days again. He had never imagined that he would have the chance of even just stepping in the Qingyang hotel, let alone having the chairman of the hotel showing so much respect to him.

“Here’s a diamond VIP card of our hotel, it grants the highest level of service here.” Said Bill as he showed Josh a card.

“That’s really nice of you, thanks.”

Josh took the card, and it delighted Bill, then he excused himself:”I have other errands to run elsewhere, call me anytime you’re in need.”

An hour later, the representatives of the companies that were invited began to arrive at the hotel, Bob stayed at the entrance to welcome them.

A Benz parked outside from which came a bald mid-age man and a young man.

“President Zhang and Tiger Zhang, greetings!” Said Bob as he gave them a handshake.

Dachun Zhang, Tiger’s father, smiled back and said:”Congratulations on your triumph, president Liu, now that Shaw and his father were gone, the future lies bright ahead of you! My company would also need your help.”

“I’m not the one to make the call, it’s our new chairman that could decide who he wants to help/” Said Bob, he was being clear that it’s up to the new chairman whether the cooperation between Huading’s Group and Dachun’s company could continue.

“Of course, of course.” Said Dachun.
