Chapter 20 Vicious Slander

After walking a few steps towards her home, she heard the sound of the car driving behind her. Looking back, Daisy saw that the black Jaguar had already left, leaving only two faintly lit taillights, drifting away until it finally disappeared into the twilight.

Thinking of Jim's last words, she touched her forehead, then she planned to go home, to browse through the computer. She wanted to find some jobs, or hand in a resume or something.
