Chapter 8

"Then I'm giving you freedom Rudra. Go back to her." Sikha said, making him a shock.

Rudra can't believe his ears. He knows that Sikha is a type of girl who doesn't like to share her things or leave them. How can she leave him this easily?

"If you're joking then let me tell you it's a very vulgar joke" Rudra said

"And why do you think that I'm joking? I know that it's difficult for you to believe me but I'm saying the truth. I will talk to our parents about this. They won't make any fuss. You can marry Durva whom you love" Sikha said with a smile that didn't reach her eyes

"Thank you so much sikha, for understanding me and my love. You don't know what you did for me. I can't wait to introduce you to Durva. I'm sure you will like her as well." Rudra said with enthusiasm

After sometime, Sikha left for her home. She didn't cry anymore. She went to her room directly ignoring her mother. Once she closed the door. She screamed in anger.

"WHY? WHY RUDRA WHY? WHY YOU HAVE TO BREAK MY HEART? CAN'T YOU SEE MY LOVE? YOU FELL FOR A DUMB GIRL BUT YOU CAN'T LOVE ME. WHY?" she screamed and destroyed her room

She broke the mirror and every other thing that is breakable. Her room was a mess. She was angry, her ego was hurt and love was brutally rejected. Her room was soundproof so no one heard the noise. She was sitting on the floor crying and screaming.

Her mother knocked on her door but she didn't open nor replied. Her mother got tensed and opened the door with the spare key. Her mother was shocked to see her daughter in this state and her room totally destroyed.

"Sikha, my baccha what happened? Tell your mom what happened?" Her mother asked her while shaking her

"Rudra doesn't love me, mom. He loves some dumb, ugly orphan girl from Kullu. He said he will marry me but won't be able to love me. How can he not love me, mom? I loved him for a long time. Am I not beautiful? Am I not good enough? TELL ME MOM AM I NOT?" Sikha screamed the last part

"Bacha you're more than perfect. You have no flaws. Rudra doesn't deserve you or your love. I will ask your father to break this marriage. It's not like he is the only boy who is eligible for you. We will find the best groom for you. Who will love you more than you can imagine." her mother tried to make her understand

"But I want him, mom. I want him only. No one else. Call dad now I want to talk to him" Sikha screamed. Her mother knew her well that if she wants to do anything she will do it regardless of the cost she will have to pay for that. She called her husband asking him to come.

Once her father saw his daughter's state he was angry. He called Pratap.

"What the hell is this Pratap? Your son has insulted me and my daughter. He loves some orphan girl who is dumb and said to Sikha that he can't love her. I thought your son is like you but no I was wrong. Do anything but make him ready to love my daughter. She is crying and devastated because of Rudra. Mark my words Pratap, if anything goes wrong I will destroy you and your son." Aman, Sikha's father threatened.

"What are you talking about Aman? Rudraksha did what? How dare he? Don't worry, Sikha is like my own daughter. Let me meet her once and talk, don't worry I promise Rudraksha will only marry her and love her." Pratap said, greeting his teeth.

"You better do it otherwise be ready for your destruction" Aman said and hung up the call

"Rudraksha can't you listen to me once? I should have not let you go to Kullu, but let me rectify my mistake." Pratap thought and went to Sikha's house. Once he reached there, his friend took him to Sikha's room.

"Sikha beta, what have you done? Look at yourself. Who will say after one week it's your wedding." Pratap said smiling

"But your son isn't happy. He is ready to marry me but he won't love me. I want his lone attention uncle if not then I will commit suicide. I told him that I'm giving him the freedom to marry that bitch, Durva." Sikha spat Durva's name like it is burning her tongue

"Tell me what Rudraksha told you about that girl. I will handle it" Pratap said and Sikha spill all the details Rudra told her

"Don't worry about it. Get prepared for your wedding." Pratap said

On the other side, Rudra was really happy. He wanted to bring Durva to introduce her to everyone. He told this to Saumya who was having difficulty believing it. But she did it eventually. Rudra told it to Rathi who was shocked and scared for her son because she knew her husband well.

Rudra was waiting for Pratap so he could tell him everything. When Pratap came back he was smiling a lot.

"Rudraksha, do you love someone else? Sikha has cancelled the wedding saying you don't love her" Pratap asked him

"Yes, dad I do love someone else. Sikha is saying the truth. I want to marry her." Rudra said without any fear.

"If you want this then let it be. I only wanted a perfect girl for you. I hope she is capable of being a Randhawa." Pratap said

"She is a more than capable dad. Dad, can we marry on the same date when my and Sikha's wedding was supposed to be?" Rudra asked

"Sure but first bring her here. Let us meet her first." Pratap said. Saumya was observing everything keenly. She wasn't getting good vibes.

Nevertheless, she decided to go to Kullu with Rudra. When they reached Kullu they got shocking news. Durva was married to her boyfriend and left Kullu. Rudra was not believing at first but after seeing her wedding pictures he believed. They said that Durva was in a relationship with him for a long time.

Saumya denied because she knew Durva for 4 years. But when they gave proof she had to believe. And moreover, everyone in the orphanage loved her, why will they lie? That's what they said to them.

Rudra was feeling betrayed and heartbroken. He didn't want to believe it but proofs are screaming this. Then why the drama of love? Many questions came but answers? No one knows.

Rudra went back to Mumbai with Saumya. Rudra was not using his brain but Saumya was. She can't believe all the shit they were saying. She has spent a long time with Durva and knows what kind of a girl she is. Rudra in this mess asked Sikha to marry him. And he promised her that he will try his best to love her. It was the day of the wedding.

Saumya was restless. She can't sit down and watch the drama.

She saw Rathi crying and holding something. She went towards her and saw it’s a picture. Not any picture but it was Durva's dead body. A sob escaped her mouth and that caught Rathi's attention. She tried to hide the picture but it was late

"How?" Is the only thing she managed to ask.

"Pratap. He killed her. She didn't marry someone or anything. Whatever you know is a lie. That innocent girl died without her fault." Rathi said and cried more.

Saumya was shocked and wanted to tell her brother everything she just ran from there and told Rudra everything. Rudra was numb when he got to know about it. He could believe whatever she’s saying. How can his father be this cruel?

"Bhai now what?" Saumya asked

"Go and pretend as nothing happened" Rudra replied plainly

"What are you saying bhai? How can I behave like nothing happened?" Saumya asked him in disbelief

"Just go Saumya, and do what I said” Rudra ordered and Saumya left him angrily. Her tears weren't stopping at all. She didn't want to be a part of this marriage. She locked herself in her room.

After 2 hours it was time for Rudraksha to leave with his family for the venue. Rathi went to his room to call him but his room was locked. She called Pratap and others. They opened the door and were shocked to see the scene. Rudra was lying lifeless on the floor, he had cut his wrist. They took him to hospital but he was already dead.

Saumya was totally broken and devastated. Everything was ruined in a blink. She found a letter that he has written for his father.

Dad,

I know that you want me to marry Sikha because of your reputation and for that you can do anything. But I never thought that you can kill an innocent soul. You killed my love, my Durva. You never loved anything except money and fame that I know but I didn't know that you're heartless people who can kill as well.

What did you think? That I will believe that crap your minions told me? No dad. Before Saumya told me the truth, I knew it. In one thing you are right, money can do anything.

And I used it. You want fame and money right? Now I'm snatching it from you by ending myself. Now you can't use me for your profit...

Rudraksha Randhawa

Saumya was numb when she read it aloud. All the people were looking at Pratap in shock. It was clear from Rudra's letter that Pratap had killed Durva. And Rudra's death reason was also him.

The police arrested him and no one tried to free him. On the other side, Sikha got mentally unstable. She couldn't take it. Sikha was obsessed with Rudra. It was not love. Because love doesn't snatch or force, it gives and knows to sacrifice.

Ridhima's mother finished her story.

Ridhima has tears in her eyes. How much can a person love an imperfect person? Where does everyone thrive to find perfection?

"Now tell me Ridhu does true love exist?" Her mother asked her

"It does mom. It does, this story is really an inspiration. He died for his love and that too was for a dumb girl." Ridhima said

"Then never think that no one can love you or love is only for good looking people. Now don't think much about it." Her mother said

Ridhima nodded her head. In all this, she has totally forgotten about her heartbreak. Rudraksha and Durva were the only thing roaming in her head.

Her mother left her alone to bring food to her.

When she was going to the kitchen tears flew down from her eyes. She remembered the horrible memories of her past where she lost her brother and friend.

Today In her daughter she found another Durva but she only can hope that she will get her Rudra but won't end up as her brother and Durva did.
