chapter 2 The Medicine King's Inheritance

by Jack 11:57,Sep 18,2023
In a hazy state, Han Tang found himself in a mysterious space. An old man suddenly appeared before him, dressed in green with white hair, exuding an air of immortality.

"Who are you?" Han Tang asked.

"I am Geoff, a member of the Medicine King Sect. Since you have obtained the Ring of God, you are fated to meet me. Today, I shall pass on the Medicine King Sect's techniques to you and grant you the inheritance of my medical knowledge and techniques. From now on, you will be a disciple of the Medicine King Sect. Remember to use your knowledge to help others and accumulate good karma.”

With that, the old man named Geoff chanted an incantation and a golden light flowed into Han Tang's forehead. Then, it gradually dissipated before his eyes.

Afterward, an immense amount of information began flooding Han Tang's mind, including medical practices, cultivation methods, formation techniques, and much more. The information was overwhelming, and Han Tang felt his head swelling as if it was about to burst. His consciousness started to blur, and he eventually lost consciousness.

Han Tang had no idea how much time had passed, he woke up from his deep slumber, but his head still throbbed. He opened his eyes and looked around. He found himself in a hospital bed, with Usan Le asleep next to him, leaning over the side. The clock on the bedside table read 2:00 in the early morning.

Han Tang closed his eyes again, trying to recall everything that had happened. He began to doubt if his mind had been damaged, leading to this confusion.

Han Tang then tried to use the Xuantian Method he had inherited, allowing a small flow of energy to circulate throughout his body. This alleviated the pain in his head, confirming to him that everything had indeed been real.

The first level of the Xuantian Method had been established as the foundation by his inheritance. Han Tang felt his body brimming with energy, erasing the exhaustion from yesterday. He believed he could knock out a bull with a single punch.

He then explored the space within the Ring of God using his spiritual perception and discovered it was vast, containing a substantial amount of spirit stones, piled up like small mountains.

Having confirmed everything, Han Tang was overjoyed. He got up, gently pressed on Usan Le's acupoint to put her into a deep sleep, then carried her to the bed. He took a seat on a chair and began his cultivation.

Recalling the memories from his inheritance, he knew that spirit stones were valuable treasures. They could continuously release spiritual energy, providing immense benefits for cultivation. Han Tang took out two spirit stones and held them in his hands while practicing, and he noticed that his true qi circulated ten times faster than before.

Unknowingly, the sky grew bright, and Han Tang retracted the slightly diminished spirit stones into the Ring of God, concluding his cultivation. He pressed on Usan Le’s acupoint again, and she woke up. She jumped off the bed in surprise and said to Han Tang, "Wasn't I taking care of you? Why am I the one who ended up sleeping on the bed?"

Han Tang replied, "You seemed exhausted, so I put you on the bed."

Usan Le was puzzled, "Was I really that exhausted? Didn't I wake up when you moved me?"

Han Tang chuckled, "Who knows? Maybe you were pretending to sleep to let me carry you."

"Nonsense! You didn't do anything to me, did you?" Usan Le asked.

Han Tang reassured her, "No... I didn't do anything. I just put you on the bed."

Usan Le playfully glared at Han Tang. "Are you a fool? You didn't do anything at all?"

Han Tang was speechless, as he was used to Usan Le teasing him.

"How's your injury? Sit down and let me take a look," Usan Le said, guiding Han Tang to sit on the bed. She gently touched his head, examining the wound.

Looking at Han Tang's undamaged scalp, Usan Le muttered, "It's strange. At first, there was so much blood on your head, but when we got to the hospital, there was no wound. I don't know what happened."

Han Tang sat on the bed, while Usan Le stood in front of him. This positioning left her ample bosom right at his eye level. Moreover, Usan Le's slightly disheveled clothes, just after she'd woken up, displayed a flash of pure white that nearly blinded Han Tang.

"Um, how big are they? 35C? Or 36D?" Han Tang thought seriously, but he wasn't very familiar with women's sizes. He only knew they looked large but wasn't sure of the exact sizes. It seemed like he had to learn more about this in the future.

At that moment, Usan Le leaned forward to check the back of his head. Oh dear, her bosom surged directly into Han Tang's face. He felt like he was suffocating.

Han Tang's nostrils grew warm, and he quickly closed his eyes, afraid that if he continued to look, his nose might start bleeding.

However, even with his eyes closed, a wave of a maiden's fragrance wafted over him. It was a scent like orchids and musk, incredibly delightful.

"Han Tang, I'm talking to you!"

Usan Le also realized how close her bosom was to Han Tang and that her cleavage was practically right in front of him. A hint of shyness flashed across her face, and she stepped back hastily.

"Ah, what did you say?"

Han Tang was completely entranced by Usan Le's well-endowed bosom, and all he could think about was how big they really were. He hadn't heard a word she had said.

"I said, how's your injury?" Usan Le repeated.

"It's all better now!"

"Why did you have so much blood on your head, but there was no wound when you got to the hospital?"

"I'm sure you must have been mistaken. I have tough skin and am not so prone to bleeding. Maybe you were just too nervous, and you mistook red wine for blood."

Han Tang offered an excuse, not wanting to reveal that the blood had flowed into the Ring of God.

Usan Le nodded and accepted the explanation. She knew she had been too worried when she saw Han Tang injured. If it weren't for her rushing him to the hospital, who knows what might have happened?

Han Tang then asked, "Why did you come here?"

Usan Le pouted. "Why shouldn't I come? You were injured, so shouldn't I come to take care of you?"

She had always liked Han Tang very much and had expressed her feelings countless times. However, Han Tang already had a girlfriend, so he never reciprocated her feelings.

"That's not what I meant. You weren't at the scene when it happened, so how did you know I was injured?" Han Tang explained.

"It was Sherry Shi who came and told me. That Fatty Zhou left you all alone after you were seriously injured. It was me and Sherry Shi who brought you here. Initially, Sherry Shi wanted to stay and take care of you, but how could I let her have such a good opportunity? I told her to go rest, and I stayed. So, are you deeply moved now?"

Han Tang was indeed deeply moved. Usan Le had always been exceptionally kind to him, but unfortunately, he already had Polly Cao.

Thinking of Fatty Zhou, Han Tang clenched his teeth in anger. That bottle had been thrown with extreme force, and if he hadn't received the inheritance, he would have at least suffered a concussion. What was even more unforgivable was that Fatty Zhou didn't take him to the hospital but left him in the office without any concern.

That fat guy was truly wicked, and Han Tang silently swore that he wouldn't let him off. However, it wasn't the right time yet. His current priority was dealing with the upcoming school fees, which weighed on him like a mountain.

Han Tang said, "Let's check out of the hospital."

Usan Le said, "Why rush? You should stay until you're fully recovered."

Han Tang insisted, "I'm already fine. There's no need to stay. Let's get back to work and earn money. I still haven't secured the school fees for next semester."
