Han Tang felt the old man's pulse, and whatever he said, it happened. The old man's heart condition was acting up.
"Medicine... medicine..." The old man suddenly became extremely weak, raising a trembling hand and pointing to a nearby drawer.
Han Tang opened the drawer, inside was a bottle of instantaneous heart medicine. To his surprise, it was empty, the medicine was all gone.
At this moment, the old man's face turned pale, his expression filled with pain, cold sweat streaming down his forehead.
The situation was urgent, and Han Tang didn't have time to think much. He took out a box of golden needles from the Ring of God, an inheritance item.
Han Tang took out a golden needle, activated the Xuantian Technique, and his inner energy surged endlessly. He took a deep breath, swiftly inserting over a dozen golden needles into the old man's body.
Then, Han Tang's right hand transformed into a palm, lightly brushing over the tips of the needles. A gentle aura passed through the needles into the old man's body.
Han Tang gently flicked each of the needle tips, and then released his hand. Surprisingly, the tips of the needles were still trembling slightly.
After completing all this, Han Tang let out a sigh of relief. Although he carried an ancient heritage, it was his first time administering acupuncture to a person, but it seemed to have worked well.
"Who are you, and what are you doing?" Suddenly, a stern shout came from behind Han Tang.
Han Tang turned around and saw a steward-like figure standing behind him, followed by an old man in a robe carrying a medicine box.
"This old gentleman suddenly fell ill, and I'm helping him." Han Tang explained.
The steward looked at the words "Li's Secret palace restaurant" printed on Han Tang's work uniform and became completely enraged. He roared, "You, a delivery guy, trying to play doctor? Don't try to deceive us!"
"I really am treating this old gentleman..." Han Tang tried to explain, but the steward forcefully pushed him aside. "If anything happens to Master Yang, you can expect to go to jail."
The steward then turned to the old man behind him and said, "Master Sun, quickly help remove the needles this lad stuck in our Master's body."
Han Tang recognized the old man as Barry Sun, the renowned traditional Chinese medicine practitioner frequently seen on TV. For Han Tang, a student of clinical medicine at a university, Barry Sun was an iconic figure often mentioned by his lecturers in the field of traditional Chinese medicine.
Barry Sun approached the old man, raised his hand to remove the needles, but when he saw the tips of the needles trembling incessantly, his outstretched hand froze in mid-air, his expression filled with astonishment.
"Master Sun, quickly remove them!" urged the steward.
Master Sun retracted his hand and sighed, "I'm sorry, but I can't remove these needles."
The steward asked, "Master Sun, why not?"
Barry Sun explained, "In our traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture, advanced acupuncture techniques have their own unique method. If you don't understand the technique, you shouldn't attempt to remove the needles easily. Otherwise, improper technique could lead to bleeding, or even harm the patient."
"Master Sun, are you saying that this acupuncture is exceptionally advanced?" asked the steward.
"More than advanced, it's identical to the legendary Qi-guided acupuncture technique," Barry Sun said.
"How is that possible? He's just a delivery guy, he's surely just stabbing randomly. Master Sun, are you sure you're not mistaken?"
If it weren't for the fact that the renowned Barry Sun was present, the steward would have likely erupted into a torrent of curses. Han Tang was just a delivery guy; how could he possibly use the Qi-guided acupuncture technique?
At this point, the old man on the sofa spoke, "Steward, don't fuss anymore. I'm much better now. This young man has quite a skill in medicine. Without him, I, Henry Yang, might not have made it."
Henry Yang, it turned out, was the founder of the famous ChangKong Group. Starting from scratch in his teens, he built the ChangKong Group and now possessed assets in the billions. He was a legendary figure in Jiang Nan City. Han Tang had only heard his name before, never expecting to meet him in person today.
Seeing Henry Yang's complexion turn rosy and hearing his speech grow stronger, the steward couldn't help but be amazed. Normally, even with timely medication, Henry Yang would remain weak for quite some time after an episode. Today's recovery was unexpectedly rapid.
Since Henry Yang spoke, the steward no longer interfered. Han Tang once again approached Henry Yang, lightly brushing his hand and removing all the golden needles from his body.
Barry Sun saw Han Tang's technique of needle removal, which was marvellous and swift. He couldn't help but ask, "Young man, did you use the Qi-guided acupuncture technique?"
Han Tang replied, "Master Sun's observation is correct. I indeed used the Qi-guided acupuncture technique."
"The Qi-guided acupuncture technique... it's truly the Qi-guided acupuncture technique!" Barry Sun was overcome with excitement. He hadn't expected to witness the highest level of traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture technique in this young man before him.
The steward was still a bit worried. He said to Barry Sun, "Master Sun, could you please check our Master's pulse and assess his condition?"
Barry Sun also wanted to see the effect of the Qi-guided acupuncture technique. He stepped forward to examine Henry Yang's pulse. After a moment, his expression changed dramatically. The steward, nervous, asked, "Master Sun, how is our Master's condition?"
"A few days ago, when I checked on Master Yang, his pulse indicated a weak circulation, blockage in the meridians, and poor heart function. I didn't expect that now, most of them have improved. How is this possible? Master Yang's congenital heart condition is extremely difficult to treat. Yet, after just one acupuncture session, there's been such a significant improvement. It seems that the reputation of the Qi-guided acupuncture technique is well-deserved," Barry Sun said.
Upon hearing that Henry Yang's condition had improved, the steward was finally relieved and overjoyed. His gaze toward Han Tang changed from initial anger to gratitude.
Barry Sun said to Han Tang, "Young man, what's your name?"
"I'm called Han Tang."
"Where did you learn your acupuncture technique?"
"It's a family heritage. I learned it from my grandfather."
"May I ask who your grandfather is?"
"My grandfather is Tang Ming."
"The contemporary Medicine King Tang Ming? Young man, are you from NanFu County?"
"My grandfather is indeed the Medicine King."
Han Tang couldn't reveal that his medical skills were inherited from the ancient sect known as the Medicine King Sect. So, he attributed his skills to his grandfather, Tang Ming. Tang Ming had indeed been highly skilled in medicine, earning the title of Medicine King in his time. However, both Han Tang's father and Tang Ming had passed away early, so Han Tang had only learned a limited amount from him.
"No wonder, no wonder. Like father, like son. A master has an outstanding disciple. The Medicine King old man is in good health, I hope?" Barry Sun said. "Back then, I even studied medicine under him for a few days. I can barely count myself as one of his students."
"My grandfather has passed away."
"What a pity, a great pity."
Barry Sun sighed, then turned to Henry Yang and said, "Since the Medicine King's grandson is here, I'll take my leave."
In accordance with the tradition of old Chinese medicine practitioners, when someone else is treating a patient, they would voluntarily step back and leave.
After seeing Barry Sun off, the steward deeply bowed to Han Tang and said, "Young Master Tang, I was short-sighted just now, and I may have offended you. Please forgive me."
Han Tang quickly returned the gesture. The steward's reaction was perfectly normal. Anyone would have reacted this way given the situation. Han Tang wasn't bothered by it; on the contrary, he appreciated the steward's loyalty and straightforwardness.
Henry Yang stood up and walked around, returning to his normal self in every gesture. He smiled and said, "I didn't expect that when I ordered some takeout, I'd get a little miracle worker. Han Tang, my young friend, this old man is in your debt for saving my life."
Han Tang said, "If Mr. Yang trusts me, with acupuncture once a week, supplemented with herbal medicine, I can cure Mr. Yang's condition within a month."
"Really? Can my illness truly be cured?"
