chapter 5 I've never even held hands to have the affection of a fart.

Inside a luxurious sedan.
Christian sat in the back seat, resting with his eyes closed.
He remained tight-lipped about his illness.
This left Maryjane, who was deeply concerned about her grandfather's safety, anxious.
Just as she opened her mouth to ask, his phone suddenly rang.
Picking up the phone and seeing the caller ID, Christian frowned, but after a moment's hesitation, he answered the call.
"Christian, you must give me an explanation for this matter!"
Before he could speak, Timila's clear, questioning, and indignant voice came through from the other end.
This confused Christian, "An explanation? What explanation..."
"Don't play dumb with me!"
"I'm asking you, did you hit my mom and Aislin?"
"It was me who hit them, but..."
Just as Christian was about to explain, he was rudely interrupted, "So it was really you!"
"Christian, you've disappointed me so much!"
"I can't believe that just because we got divorced, you hold a grudge and go after my family in revenge?"
"Now hitting them, and in the future, you might hit me, or even take revenge on the Olson Family, right?"
"How can you be so petty? I really misjudged you!"
Hearing this, Christian was stunned.
She was aggressive right from the start, and now she was fabricating charges against him.
If it were the past, he might have endured it.
But now, they were divorced, so what right did she have to point fingers and scold him?
"Whether I'm petty or not is not for you to judge."
Christian raised his voice, saying sternly, "Besides, do you know why I hit them?"
"No matter the reason, it's no excuse for hitting someone!"
Timila had no interest in his reasons.
She only knew that her mother and sister were hit by him, and badly at that.
In her heart, family always came first.
And herself, she was always an outsider from the beginning to the end.
Christian chuckled bitterly.
Before he could speak, she continued, "Listen, Christian."
"We were husband and wife after all, so don't say I didn't give you a chance."
"Now, immediately, right away!"
"Go to the hospital and apologize to my mom and Aislin. I don’t care how you do it, but you need to calm them down."
"Otherwise..."
"Otherwise what?"
Christian interrupted coldly, mocking, "Are you planning to call the police and have me arrested?"
"Or have Ludolf send someone to beat me up?"
"Christian!"
Timila, furious, shouted, "Can't you be more mature and not so childish?"
"I'm considering our past relationship and don’t want to burn bridges, but don’t push it too far..."
"Past relationship?"
Christian laughed, "I never even held your hand, what relationship are we talking about!"
"Enough, let's not waste words."
"Anyway, it was me who hit them. Whatever you want to do, just bring it on, President Olson!"
"I'll take it all!"
"Click."
Having said this, Christian hung up the phone.
"Damn it!"
An enraged Timila nearly threw her phone in anger.
But as a corporate president, she was very conscious of her image, especially in controlling her emotions.
In front of Brocha and Ludolf, she struggled to contain her rage.
"Timila, don't be angry."
"It's not worth it for such a worthless person."
Seeing the growing rift between them, Ludolf, with a smile on his lips, stepped forward to comfort her, "He hit Aunt and Aislin, and you just called to ask about it, yet he reacts like this."
"In my opinion, he's beyond help."
"You don’t need to worry about it, let me handle this matter."
"I assure you that both you and Aunt will be satisfied..."
"Never mind."
Timila waved her hand.
After taking a few deep breaths, she had gradually calmed down.
"Consider it as paying off a debt I owed him."
"It's better to settle it all at once now, so there’s no more guilt."
Brocha, however, was not willing to let it go, "President Olson, please reconsider, I think that worthless person..."
"Did I not make myself clear, or do you not understand what I'm saying?"
Timila glared at her, then repeatedly tried to call her mother, who didn't answer, causing her to worry. She then said, "Sorry, Young Master Abbott, I need to go to the hospital to check on my mom and Aislin..."
"I'll go with you."
Ludolf interrupted, saying, "After all, Aunt is my elder."
"She was beaten like that, both emotionally and morally, I should go and see her."
"As for that worthless person... it’s better not to mention him, I just hope he doesn't come to bother me again in the future."
"Otherwise, I won't let him off!"
After hanging up the phone, Christian didn’t dwell on it. He took a black sedan and arrived at Skyline Hospital.
Led by Maryjane, they made their way to the second floor.
Outside the special care ward, several doctors in white coats were bowing their heads, silently listening to a woman's scolding without daring to retort.
"Useless, a bunch of incompetents!"
"What are you all good for, claiming to be Pokyo's best doctors, the elites of the elites?"
"Nonsense! Absolute nonsense!"
"I warn you, if anything happens to my grandfather, none of you will be off the hook!"
The woman, around 25 or 26 years old, was young yet exuded a commanding presence.
She was quite attractive and well-built, but her eyes gave off a cunning vibe.
Even though she was dressed in expensive clothes and had an impressive demeanour, she was one seemingly difficult to approach.
"Saskia!"
Hearing this, Maryjane was shocked and hurriedly approached, asking anxiously, "What did you just say, is grandfather... he hasn’t had an accident, has he?"
Her name was Saskia Keller, Maryjane's cousin and also the second daughter of Tut, the Uncle.
"Cousin, you came back."
Seeing Maryjane, Saskia's eyes narrowed in mockery, "Grandfather has been in and out of consciousness several times."
"He's been resuscitated numerous times, now barely hanging on, and could pass away at any moment."
"As the eldest granddaughter and the president of the Keller Group, is it appropriate for you to abandon your duties and fool around at such a time?"
She raised an eyebrow.
Upon noticing Christian behind her, the mockery in her eyes became even more apparent.
After sizing him up – average clothes, average demeanour, good-looking but otherwise worthless.
Clearly, he looked like a kept man, yet he was here with Maryjane. Unexpectedly, she had such tastes.
Wasn't she solely focused on developing the family business, not having the time for personal affairs?
Hypocritical!
"Saskia, don't talk nonsense."
Seeing the misunderstanding, Maryjane blushed but didn’t elaborate, only asking, "Tell me, how is grandfather really doing now?"
"You’re still the same, all day long asking but not thinking of solutions, I really don’t understand why grandfather treasures you so much."
Saskia took a deep breath, sneering, "With these incompetent doctors, it's either they can't do anything, or they say grandfather can't make it."
"Bringing in a pig would be better than them."
"Humph, at critical times, we have to rely on our main branch."
"I've asked dad to invite the famous Doctor Lachlan Tyler, he should be arriving soon."
"With him here, grandfather will surely be cured, and when it's time for rewards, don’t you dare try to take credit."
There was a conflict between the two women.
Apart from family interests, whether it's status, beauty, knowledge, or social circle.
Maryjane always outshone Saskia.
This made her jealous, living under her cousin's shadow all her life.
She always wanted to break free from this situation, and her grandfather's critical illness was an opportunity.
If the doctor she invited could cure grandfather, he would surely see her in a new light.
And Maryjane's good days would come to an end.
"It's not necessary, Saskia."
Relieved to hear that grandfather was okay, Maryjane took a deep breath and said seriously, "I've already invited a divine doctor here, with him present, grandfather will surely be cured."
"You invited someone too?"
Saskia frowned, looking around suspiciously, "Where is he...?"
"He's right here."
Maryjane came to Christian’s side.
"Him?"
Saskia glanced at Christian, initially thinking he was Maryjane's kept man, but now he was the doctor she had invited?
However, young and poorly-dressed, looking more like an ordinary person, he didn’t seem like someone skilled in medicine.
"Cousin, not to criticize you."
"Although grandfather's condition is serious, you shouldn’t just desperately seek help from anyone."
"He’s about the same age as me, doesn’t look that great, what exactly are you thinking?"
"Are you trying to save grandfather, or harm him?"
"Saskia Keller, watch your words!"
Knowing how she always disliked her, Maryjane could tolerate her rudeness towards herself, but disrespect towards Christian immediately displeased her, "He was introduced by Caesar Temple, I trust his abilities and am sure he can cure grandfather."
She said this, but even she wasn't entirely confident.
After all, he did look very young.
As everyone knows, famed doctors, especially in traditional medicine, are usually in their seventies or eighties, rich in both theoretical and practical experience.
But he didn’t fit the image of a divine doctor at all, though she trusted him unconditionally because he was introduced by Caesar Temple.
"What has Caesar ever been reliable for?"
Saskia dismissed the idea, looking at Christian with doubt, "Kid, are you sure you're skilled in medicine?"
