In the hospital ward.
Only two doctors remained, staying to constantly monitor Old Master Keller's condition, ensuring there was no risk to his life.
However, they were at a loss on how to cure him.
When Christian went to check on the patient, Shirou Keller and his daughter also entered the room.
Upon seeing them, Maryjane glanced sideways but didn’t say much, her hopeful eyes turning to Christian.
Considering his recent performance at the doorway, this slightly reassured her.
But the final outcome still depended on the effectiveness of the treatment.
After taking the pulse and examining the patient's eyes and tongue, Christian had a clear understanding of the situation.
Based on his observation, Old Master Keller was not suffering from a disease, but had been poisoned.
Already harbouring a strong poison, and with continuous poisoning over time, the toxins had compounded and invaded his internal organs.
For others, this would have been an impossible situation.
But for Christian, it was merely a more complex treatment process, not a major issue.
"Mr. West, how is it? Can my grandfather be cured?"
Seeing Christian’s serious expression, Maryjane asked anxiously.
His seriousness stemmed from pondering why Old Master Keller, despite ongoing treatments, kept getting poisoned.
The only explanation was a traitor in the Keller Family who wanted to poison him secretly!
"It’s not a big problem."
"It's just that the condition is severe, making the treatment process more complicated."
"Massage first, then acupuncture, and finally oral medication."
"With this approach, the illness can be cured."
Hearing this, the father and daughter couldn’t help but scoff.
"My grandfather has been to death's door several times, everyone knows his condition is severe."
"What you said is as good as nothing. Can you really do anything?"
Saskia Keller scoffed coldly.
Tut joined in the mockery: "Exactly, all talk and no action. Maryjane might be easy to deceive, but we are not so gullible!"
"Kid, you better be careful. If something happens to my dad…"
"Uncle!"
Before he could finish, Maryjane interrupted coldly, "I brought him here, and I will take responsibility if anything goes wrong."
"But now, please shut up and let Mr. West focus on the treatment."
"Although you are an elder, I'm the one in charge of the Keller Group."
"I don’t want to repeat myself!"
Saskia was about to retort, but was stopped by Shirou, who shook his head slightly, signalling not to act rashly.
Indeed.
Despite her lower seniority, she held the real power in the family.
In his opinion, Christian was just a fraud.
His own invitee, Miracle Doctor Lachlan, was due to arrive later. It would be more satisfying to let Christian act important for now and then clean up the mess later.
"Mr. West, please begin."
Seeing the two quiet down, Maryjane looked at Christian and said solemnly.
Without another word, Christian approached and helped Old Master Keller sit up.
He first held him, with his knee supporting his lower back, causing a series of crisp cracking sounds from the bones.
Then he grabbed his feet, turned them upside down, as if expelling something.
Although it seemed simple and rough, it required precise strength and skill, with no room for error.
Everything he did was to remove the toxins, to be finally expelled through acupuncture.
"What kind of treatment is this?"
"Can massage really cure my grandfather?"
Maryjane was full of doubts and surprise.
Unfamiliar with medical techniques.
However, she was nonetheless aware of various treatments.
Since her grandfather fell ill, she had invited countless doctors, both traditional and modern, but never had she seen such a unique method. Yet, Christian's confident demeanour made her hesitate to question him.
She was torn, unsure whether to trust him.
"Swish!"
With a slap, Old Master Keller’s body spasmed, and then Christian laid him back on the bed.
He then piled three or four layers of blankets on top of him, wrapping him tightly, airtight.
"Is that it?"
Seeing this, Saskia frowned and scolded, "This isn’t treatment, you’re just tormenting my grandfather!"
Shirou approached, looked at the bedside vital signs, and burst out angrily, "The readings have not only failed to rise, they've dropped several percentage points."
"You scoundrel, what have you done to my dad…"
"Driving out the toxins, preparing for their complete removal later."
"As I said, due to the severity of the condition, there are more steps involved."
Christian remained calm, turning to Maryjane, "Miss Keller, Old Master Keller's toxins are still settling. I estimate it will take half an hour for them to reach the surface, then I'll use acupuncture to force them out."
"I need to go out and buy a set of silver needles. While I’m away, the blankets must not be removed. It's a medical technique for warming and dispersing toxins. Can you manage the situation here without interference?"
Maryjane looked puzzled, "There's no problem, but if acupuncture is needed, why not use the hospital's needles?"
"The hospital also has a traditional medicine department. If really necessary, I can go buy them for you..."
"I need to choose them myself."
Christian explained, "Ordinary needles are different from detoxifying needles."
"It's complicated, and I can't explain it all right now."
"Keep an eye on things here, I’ll be back soon."
After speaking, he left the hospital ward.
"Scoff, he sounds so convincing, I almost believed him!"
Saskia muttered, looking thoughtfully at her still unconscious grandfather, "After all that, he didn't react at all."
"He's probably a fraud who couldn’t keep up the act and ran away!"
"Impossible!"
Maryjane interrupted confidently, "Mr. West was introduced by Mr. Temple, and I believe he can definitely cure my grandfather."
"He's just out to buy needles, and when he comes back…"
" Maryjane."
Before she could finish, Shirou sighed, "Don’t you see? That guy is a fraud, with no real medical skills!"
"From what he just did, have you ever seen any doctor treat patients like that?"
"Don't get your hopes up. I guarantee, not in half an hour, not in one hour, not even in ten hours, he won’t come back!"
"To really cure your grandfather, we must rely on Divine Doctor Lachlan."
"Bang! "
As he spoke, the door burst open and several people in white coats rushed in.
"Master Shirou, Divine Doctor Lachlan has arrived!"
A man shouted excitedly.
Shirou turned and was overjoyed to see the newcomer, walking up to him respectfully, "Divine Doctor Lachlan, you're finally here."
"Please check my dad, he's been unconscious several times and won’t wake up."
"Don’t worry, Master Shirou, with me here, Old Master Keller will be fine," Lachlan assured, patting his chest.
"Truly a divine doctor, so imposing, far superior to that little fraud just now."
"With Divine Doctor Lachlan here, grandfather’s condition is in good hands!" Saskia hinted.
Maryjane looked troubled, not sure what to say.
After all, Christian had already made his move, but the reality was that her grandfather had not awakened.
"Divine Doctor Lachlan, don’t waste time, please check on my father now!"
Shirou pulled Lachlan to the bedside.
Seeing the blankets piled on him, he burst out angrily, "Who did this?"
"Old Master Keller is critically ill and needs to dissipate heat. Why would you cover him with so many blankets? This is nonsense!"
Saying this, he moved to uncover the blankets.
"Stop!"
Maryjane shouted, stopping him, "Mr. West said the blankets are to warm and disperse the toxins."
"Until he returns, no one is allowed to remove them, or my grandfather's life will be at risk!"
