chapter 4 I'm sorry, Young Master Jonathan

by Arthur 18:07,Nov 01,2023
A woman in her mid-twenties, dressed flamboyantly and heavily made up, exuded a seductive aura, easily igniting men's desires.
She had just arrived, and the receptionists all turned to greet her.
"Director Stella!"
The glamorous woman nodded slightly, her demeanor arrogant.
She glanced at Jonathan Ye, dressed plainly, and asked the front desk, "What's happening?"
After hearing about Jonathan Ye's request to see Zachary Wu, the glamorous woman frowned.
"Xu, have you lost your mind? The caliber of people our president usually meets, could this poor-looking kid be one of his guests?"
"If every person wanting to see the president necessitates a call, wouldn't that annoy him to death? You lack this basic consideration. I think you're no longer fit for this position. Report to the warehouse tomorrow!"
The glamorous woman spoke coldly and bluntly, leaving the receptionist named Xu pale and apologetic.
She knew well that this woman could easily fire her.
After scolding Xu, the woman turned to Jonathan Ye with a mocking look.
"Little brother, this is the Chenfeng Group Building, not a place for you to create chaos. If you keep this up, I might have to ask the security to escort you out!"
Director Stella, previously a receptionist, was striking in appearance and knew how to attract men.
She created opportunities to meet Zachary Wu, president of Chenfeng Group, and finally won him over, earning a promotion and a raise to become the sales manager.
She was close to Zachary Wu, but had never heard of him being acquainted with any young man, let alone someone who could summon him downstairs.
With Zachary Wu's status, even the top officials of Lu City were merely courteous guests. Who had the right to demand his presence?
Her smile concealed a threat, expecting Jonathan Ye to leave, but he stood firm, his tone becoming stern.
"I asked you to call, which is part of your front desk duties!"
"This receptionist was about to call. She did nothing wrong, yet you criticized her and claimed she's unfit for her job. What kind of logic is that?"
"Without even notifying, you assume I'm causing trouble and want security to remove me. Is this how Chenfeng Group's management operates?"
His questioning tone left Stella and others speechless.
Stella composed herself, her expression hardening.
"You think I'm joking, little brother?"
"Our Chenfeng Group's employees aren't subject to comments from a naive kid like you!"
Jonathan Ye remained calm.
"Really?" he said lightly. "Not only can I comment, but I can also fire you. Believe it or not?"
"Fire me? With what authority?"
Stella found it laughable. She was Zachary Wu's favorite, and without his say, even higher-ups wouldn't dare fire her.
"Kid, this isn't a place for daydreams. To fire me, come back in a few decades!"
Losing patience, she instructed another receptionist,"Call security, get him out!"
After speaking, she headed to the top floor, while the hesitant receptionist called security. Receptionist Xu looked troubled and helpless.
Four burly security guards arrived quickly, surrounding Jonathan Ye with batons.
"Kid, will you leave on your own, or shall we make you?"
Jonathan Ye glanced at them and shook his head.
"With just you four, you think you can touch me?"
Angered by his attitude, the security leader commanded,"Throw him out!"
As they moved to grab him, there were three thuds, and the three guards fell backward, groaning in pain.
"I told you, you're not qualified!"
Jonathan Ye stood proudly, hands in pockets, his gaze calm.
Everyone in the lobby watched, stunned, as the remaining guard and receptionists couldn't comprehend how Jonathan Ye had moved.
In the Chenfeng Group's top-floor office, reserved for president Zachary Wu, a middle-aged man with a square face, exuding a commanding presence, sat reviewing documents.
He was Zachary Wu, president of the nearly billion-dollar corporation.
Hearing a knock, he said without looking up, "Come in!"
His authoritative voice softened when Stella Luo, reminiscent of a slithering snake, approached him with a honeyed voice.
"It's working hours. What are you doing here instead of working?"
Though stern, Zachary Wu reacted to her presence.
"I've delegated today's tasks. I missed you, Mr. Wu!"
Taking advantage of his reclined posture, Stella slid into his arms, ready for his embrace.
"You vixen!" Wu couldn't resist, though work kept him from further advances.
"Mr. Wu, we might need to strengthen our security to prevent unsavory characters from disturbing us!"
Stella said ingratiatingly.
"Oh? What happened?"
Wu asked casually.
"Just now, a young man downstairs demanded I call you to meet him!"
"I told him to leave, and he criticized our staff's quality and even threatened to fire me!"
"The audacity of the youth today!"
Recalling Jonathan Ye's composed face, Stella's heart filled with mockery. She rushed to see Wu, otherwise, she would have stayed to mock Ye further.
"A young man wanting me to meet him?"
Wu's expression changed, becoming urgent.
"Did he say his name?"
Stella, confused, replied honestly, "He said his name was Jonathan Ye, and that just mentioning his name would bring you down. Ridiculous, I've already instructed the front desk to have security remove him!"
Stella's smirk turned into shock as Wu slapped her.
"Mr. Wu, why did you hit me?"
