“Little brother, tell me your story?”
Wrapped in black, her meaty thighs rubbed against Delfina’s calves. The woman across from him gave Delfina a seductive look, even pushing her ample cleavage together with her arms.
Delfina frowned, shifting slightly to the side.
“Aw, why so shy?”
As a veteran man-hunter, Lyrilin Elkins sensed that Delfina was no ordinary man. His expression was too calm, too composed, not like a green youth but more like a detached, unfeeling man. This type of man, she hadn’t played with yet, and he intrigued her greatly.
“Little brother, you have very beautiful eyes.”
Lyrilin leaned in closer, her voice sultry, “Won’t you share your story with me?”
Delfina took a sip of the red wine, his tone nonchalant, “I bear a blood feud, returned from learning, ready for revenge.”
What?
Hearing this, Lyrilin paused.
A blood feud, ready for revenge?
Lyrilin thought Delfina was joking, flicking her long finger, “Little brother, what kind of joke is this?”
Delfina was not joking. He gripped the wine glass tighter, recalling that New Year's Eve.
His once-loving father had thrust a knife into his mother's body.
In one night, he lost everything.
Family, parents, all gone.
Lyra Aiken, just you wait!
His revenge would start here in Ham City, beginning with the Heaven Corporation!
It seemed Lyrilin felt the killing intent emanating from Delfina, and she shuddered.
This man was truly out of the ordinary. Her heart grew heated again, and just as she was about to speak, someone approached.
“Lyrilin, who is this?”
The newcomer was a man, a corpulent fatso with a belly that threatened to burst his suit, his flesh quivering with each step. He was a manager in the security department of the Heaven Corporation, having gotten the position through connections. These days, he had been pursuing Lyrilin.
Knowing Lyrilin’s reputation for toying with men, the fatso still lusted after her, enchanted by her bewitching beauty. Thus, he felt hostility towards any man near Lyrilin.
The fatso’s gaze fell upon Delfina, lounging on the couch, his chubby chin lifted, “Kid, who are you?”
Delfina didn’t even glance at him, merely taking another sip of wine.
Lyrilin was visibly annoyed, “Who he is has nothing to do with you.”
The fatso grew angrier, his flesh trembling, “How does it not concern me! I am the manager of the security department at Heaven Corporation! I'm in charge of security for today's welcome party!”
“This kid looks raggedy, dressed like a beggar, might be here to cause trouble.”
“All the guests here are distinguished, and they can't be disturbed.”
As he spoke, he strode forward, snatching the wine glass from Delfina’s hand, “What are you drinking? Can trash like you even appreciate good wine?”
“Hand over the invitation!”
Delfina’s voice was cool, “I don’t have an invitation.”
The fatso laughed, revealing yellowed teeth, “Oh, you don’t have an invitation, then get out!”
“He’s with me! You have no right to throw him out!” Lyrilin stood in front of Delfina, her posture defiant, drawing the fatso’s gaze to her provocative figure, his eyes reddening with anger.
The fatso’s hefty body swayed disgustingly, “Lyrilin, even when you play with men, there’s a time and place. You know how important today’s welcome banquet is to President Goodrich!”
“Someone! Throw him out!”
Following the fatso's command, several strong security guards surrounded them, drawing the attention of some guests.
“Oh, what’s happening?”
“What else, Lyrilin the temptress... playing with men again.”
“Hey, this guy looks young, has no shame at such a young age?”
“A man will do anything to climb up, don’t you know? Today's welcome banquet is hard to get into, many big company bosses couldn't get in, but he clings to a woman's waist and gets in..."
“Must want to network, trying to rub elbows..."
Whispers of discussion reached Delfina’s ears, but he remained expressionless, not even lifting an eyelid.
“Get him out of here!” ordered the fatso.
Finally, Delfina reacted with a cold laugh, “Get out? You can try.”
This statement made the fatso laugh so hard his flesh quivered. As the security manager of Heaven Corporation, the fatso was never soft-hearted. He forcefully dragged Lyrilin away, “Alright, let's try! You guys, break his limbs and throw him out!”
“Fatso, you...!” Lyrilin was pulled away before she could stop it.
The fatso's smile was vicious as he waved his hand, “All of you, go!”
“Yes!”
Suddenly, seven or eight security guards with an imposing presence charged towards Delfina.
“Take him down!”
One of the security guards roared, throwing a punch that drew many gasps from the onlookers. The fatso watched with a cruel smile. These guards were all former special forces, formidable in strength.
How could this thin, impoverished young man possibly stand a chance against them?
He was sure to be beaten to a bloody pulp!
Indeed, there was blood, but not from Delfina. Instead, it was from that formidable security guard!
With a single kick from Delfina, the guard flew backward, spitting blood, instantly knocked unconscious.
Silence!
At that moment, the venue fell silent, everyone shocked by what they had seen. They didn't expect the young man who depended on a woman to be able to fight like that.
Even the fatso's mouth hung open wide enough to fit an egg.
That was a special forces soldier, and he was just knocked out with one kick?
After a brief shock, the fatso regained his composure, disdainful in his heart. Although Delfina could fight, there were many more skilled men at his disposal; it was impossible for Delfina to defeat them all!
“Impressive! Really impressive!”
“I like him!”
Lyrilin bit her red lips, slightly out of breath, “This is the kind of man that’s interesting, the kind of man that gives a thrill of conquest!”
Tut, the vixen was already excited on the spot!
The fatso was enraged, paging more security guards, filling the entire hall to the brim, then shouted, “Mob him! Beat him up!”
“Fatso! Don’t kill him, let me have my fun with him first then you can finish him off!” Lyrilin quickly spoke up, afraid that Delfina might die before she had her fun with him.
“Yes!”
At that moment, dozens of security guards shouted in unison, ready to surge forward, the entire floor trembling slightly.
Just then, a commanding voice came from outside.
“What's all this noise? Today is a great day for Heaven Corporation! Who dares not to give me, Verruckt Goodrich, face?”
With a jolt, all the security guards halted their actions.
The emergence of this voice turned the fatso’s face instantly pale, and Lyrilin’s complexion changed as well. She no longer had the mindset to toy with Delfina; this incident had blown up, and she couldn’t escape the consequences!
It was well known that Verruckt Goodrich, the head of Heaven Corporation, was not just a businessman but also the underground boss of Ham City!
Though he now ran legitimate businesses, his reputation in the underworld was even more pronounced, and everyone knew that the underground kingpin was none other than Verruckt Goodrich.
Although Lyrilin was Goodrich’s current favorite, if she spoiled today's banquet, she would definitely not see tomorrow's sun!
With this in mind, Lyrilin became ruthless, looking at Delfina without any affection for 'little brother,' and shouted, “President Goodrich, there’s trouble! I’ll have someone disable him now!”
“Trouble?”
Verruckt Goodrich strode in.
The boss of Heaven Corporation, also the wealthiest man in Ham City, walked with an air of command, his presence intimidating to all.
Indeed, an underground kingpin had that kind of aura, not something anyone could possess.
Lyrilin quickly ran up, shifting the blame, “President Goodrich, it seems we need to strengthen our company's security to prevent unwelcome people from causing trouble.”
“Oh? Someone causing trouble?” Goodrich frowned, clearly displeased.
“Yes, just a country bumpkin who somehow made his way here, and he can fight too. A few of Manager Lyrilin’s guards didn’t have an easy time.”
Goodrich frowned, surveying the chaotic scene, and apologized to the guests, “Sorry for the disturbance.”
“No problem, you go about your business, President Goodrich..."
The crowd nodded continuously, not daring to object.
Goodrich then instructed, “Lyrilin, resolve this quickly. Today is Delfina's return, we don't want any mess!”
“Yes sir!”
Lyrilin hurriedly agreed, relieved that Goodrich hadn't blamed her.
The fatso also breathed a sigh of relief, quickly instructing the security to take action, “Someone, disable him!”
Lyrilin sighed, her gaze on Delfina filled with a trace of regret. She regretted not having the chance to play with 'little brother' before inevitably having to disable him.
Ah, such was fate.
Boom, boom, boom!
The security guards charged in waves, their aura fierce.
Delfina, however, remained leisurely and lazily called out, “Verruckt Goodrich.”
“How dare you! You can't just call President Goodrich by his name!” The fatso shouted, his flesh trembling.
Lyrilin was about to curse as well, but then, she noticed Goodrich shuddering beside her, startling her, “President Goodrich, what's wrong?”
“Get out of the way!”
Goodrich pushed Lyrilin aside.
He then hurried over, shouting as he ran, “Stop! You fools, all of you stop!”
The furious security guards suddenly halted their actions, startled by the enraged Goodrich.
“President Goodrich!”
The fatso, his hefty body trying to bow down, was about to explain the situation, but Goodrich didn't even look at him, slapping him across the face instead.
Slap!
It was fierce and heavy.
“Get out of my sight!”
The fatso’s chubby face burned, but he didn’t dare utter a word, standing aside, utterly baffled.
Goodrich quickly approached Delfina, stopping abruptly and bowing deeply, “Mr. Delfina, I apologize!”
The entire crowd was dumbfounded.
