Upon hearing Verruckt's words, Delfina suddenly smiled, "Good! Verruckt, remember what you've said!"
"Follow me, and you won't be disappointed."
Delfina looked into the distance outside the window, white clouds were gradually rolling under the sky.
The Aiken Family.
A top-tier aristocratic family with vast assets, countless connections whether in politics or business. Both commercial magnates and pillars of the nation could be counted among them. They were well-established and influential, and dealings were not trivial matters.
Seeking revenge against such a powerhouse was never simple.
But whether it was a powerhouse or a political figure, one should not harm an innocent lady!
Thinking of the tragic death of Poppy, a surge of killing intent rose within Delfina.
Feeling the surging killing intent emanating from Delfina, Verruckt felt the air thickening, and sweat began to bead on his back.
After a while, the thickened air suddenly dispersed and Delfina returned to normal. His tone, however, became colder, "Now, help me to investigate the House Lending Company."
What he needed to do immediately was to solve Hibiscus's problem.
Verruckt quickly responded, "I know about House Lending Company. It's a company under the Evans."
"The Evans?"
"The Evans is one of the pharmaceutical giants in Southern Province, known as the 'Evans Pharmaceutical Group.' They have significant influence in Southern Province and are not to be underestimated," explained Verruckt.
Understanding this, Delfina continued in a calm tone, "Perfect. In one of the upcoming plans of mine, I need a large pharmaceutical enterprise to serve my purposes. The Evans might be useful."
Delfina's tone was indifferent, but Verruckt's was frightened after hearing what he was about to say, "Serve me, and I'll elevate it to the highest peaks; for those who obstruct me, I'll send it to the deepest pits of hell!"
Dominance!
Totally sounds domineering!
Verruckt lowered his head, not daring to say much.
"Now, help me arrange a student identity."
Hibiscus is still in her third year of high school, and Delfina plans to accompany her for a year. With her aunt deceased and no other relatives, Delfina considers this a way to repay her and safeguard her until adulthood.
Verruckt was momentarily stunned when he heard that Delfina wanted to go to school.
With Delfina's intelligence and wealth, he didn't really need to go to school.
Although puzzled, Verruckt knew that a capable subordinate who walked the talk, so he immediately arranged for someone to handle it.
At this point, Delfina stood up and told Verruckt that he had some matters to attend to. He didn't even need the accommodation arranged by Verruckt.
Watching him leave, Verruckt murmured to himself, "He's a hidden dragon."
But Verruckt didn't know that Delfina was more than a hidden dragon; he had already soared to the sky.
...
"Delfina, are you also attending Southeast High School?"
On Monday, Hibiscus was preparing to go to school with her backpack, unexpectedly finding Delfina also carrying a backpack and following her.
Delfina nodded, "Yeah, I'm retaking the year."
At his age, going back to senior year did make him a few years older. So Verruckt arranged for him to be a senior-year repeater.
Hibiscus didn't doubt it and was especially happy. "That's great! We can go to school together! Maybe we're even in the same class!"
Delfina smiled gently and nodded.
In reality, Delfina didn't need to go to school at this age. The silly girl didn't know he was doing it all for her.
Hibiscus's troubles were not yet resolved. The issue with House Lending Company was connected to the Evans. While Delfina was investigating, he realized that this matter was inseparable from the boy in the school, Fanix.
School, by nature, should be a pure place.
However, in today's restless society, schools have been contaminated.
But Delfina hoped that Hibiscus could always maintain her innocence.
Both of them walked to school together. Along the way, many students were dumbfounded to see the aloof school beauty Hibiscus talking and laughing with an unknown boy.
Even popular Fanix couldn't even get a glance from her. How could this boy be so close to her?
"How did he end up here?"
"Delfina?"
Walking to the school gate, Nagnoloa and Bernard were both surprised.
Nagnoloa was purely surprised, while Bernard was somewhat overwhelmed with fear. Although he looked down on Delfina, yet his skills made him feel defeated and fearful.
He thought that the incident at Hibiscus's house was just a minor episode in his life, and he had chosen to forget it. However, he did not expect Delfina to appear in the school.
"What's going on?"
A tall and handsome boy noticed Bernard's unusual expression and walked over curiously.
"Nothing, nothing!" Bernard would certainly not reveal the embarrassing incident, hastily withdrawing his gaze. However, he quickly changed the subject with a smile, "Mr. Frenetos, look over there."
The tall boy turned his head and saw Delfina chatting with Hibiscus, and he was pissed off instantly.
Bernard noticed his anger and immediately added, "That person is called Delfina. I heard he is Hibiscus's kin brother..."
"Brother?" the boy's face turned red instantly.
Bernard chuckled. The boy was named Frenetos and was also one of Hibiscus's pursuers. Although he couldn't compare to top-tier elites like Fanix, and he never dared to be presumptuous in front of him. However, Delfina is another case for him.
Nagnoloa didn't say anything when she heard Bernard's intentional instigation. It would be good for arrogant Delfina to experience a bit of hardship, she thought.
He should have self-awareness! Delfina should know that there are always others who are better and stronger.
In Nagnoloa's eyes, Frenetos's tall and robust figure was undoubtedly much stronger than Delfina.
At this moment, Frenetos was filled with anger and he was about to cause him some troubles. However, another group of people approached them.
Delfina and Hibiscus were intercepted.
They were intercepted by a group of well-dressed muscular men. The leader who had narrow eyes. His dressing seemed familiar to Delfina, and he instantly recalled the scar-faced man he had beaten up previously.
