Vivian's throat tightened when she heard this and she fell into silence."Miss. Walker, are you listening?" Peter asked on the other end of the line."Yes." Vivian took a deep breath and asked, "Will Cirrus be there to go through the divorce procedures in person?""No, Mr. Williams won't come. He has commissioned me to deal with the relevant affairs about the divorce.""Ask him to go to the Court and wait for me. I have something to tell him," Vivian said.Peter smiled awkwardly and then said, "Miss. Walker, I'm sorry. You know better than I do how much Mr. Williams doesn't want to see you."Hearing that, Vivian smiled bitterly and thought, I certainly know that, but..."Please tell him that I... I'm pregnant," she said."What?" Peter was surprised."I said I'm pregnant. I want to see him."After hesitating for a moment, Peter sighed slightly and said with a trace of sympathy in his voice, "Miss Walker, Mr. Williams won't come. Miss White just had a miscarriage and was frightened by the death of Mrs. Moorsum. To pacify her, Mr. Williams decided to go abroad with her for traveling. They should be on the plane now.""How long will they travel abroad? When will they come back?""Sorry, I don't know. But Miss White said that she wanted to travel around the world so I guess that they won't come back soon. It will be at least a year before they come back.""..." Vivian was speechless."Before Mr. Williams left, he granted a power of attorney and gave me full power to go through the divorce procedures on his behalf. And he has also hired a professional manager to deal with the affairs in his company. He said that accompanying Miss White was the most important thing in his life.""…""Miss. Walker, are you okay?"Vivian closed her eyes and sighed, feeling heartache.Cirrus can always make me heartbroken again and again, she thought sadly. Then she took a deep breath and said, "I'm fine.""Okay. Then I'll wait for you at the gate of the Court.""I won't go there," Vivian said."Miss. Walker, as Mr. Williams' attorney, I must complete the task assigned by him. Please don't make things difficult for me...""Don't worry. I won't make things difficult for you," Vivian said and chuckled. "The result of we getting divorced and him being widowed is the same. He can marry Florence sooner or later. I will satisfy him no matter what he wants."When she spoke, the signal suddenly became weak so Peter didn't hear her words clearly. "Excuse me, Miss. Walker. I beg your pardon," he said."Nothing. I'm a little tired. I'll go have a rest. Bye," Vivian said and then hung up the phone. After listening to the conversation between Vivian and Peter, the policewomen had mixed feelings. "Miss. Walker, you are not in good health. You can apply for medical parole some other day. Let us send you home first. Where do you live? Please tell us your home address," a policewoman said with deep sympathy.Vivian still looked happy as before after hanging up the phone. She touched her lower abdomen with her face full of tenderness."My home? My home was gone a long time ago," she said with a disappointed look.……One year later. After more than ten hours of flight, a plane that took off from Provence arrived at Hadale Airport. After a year's rest, Florence had fully recovered and looked good. She looked at Cirrus who sat beside her and nestled in his arms. "What's wrong with you? You were silent and frowning all the way."Cirrus shook his head and answered, "Nothing. I just feel a little uneasy today.""Maybe you are not uneasy but excited because we have returned to our hometown. Cirrus, you have promised me that when we came back to Hadale, the first thing we would do was to get married.""... OK." Cirrus took out his phone and dialed a number as he said, "I'm going to buy you some water. By the way, I'll call Peter and ask him to bring the divorce agreement to me."Florence kissed him on the cheek and said, "Thank you."Cirrus then walked away and called Peter. However, Peter didn't answer the phone. When Cirrus was about to call him again, his phone rang. Then he answered the phone. "Hello?""Hello, is that Mr. Williams?""Yes.""We finally got in touch with you! Please come to our hospital as soon as possible. Your child is going to have an operation. We need you to sign an informed consent before the operation."My child? Cirrus was puzzled."Sorry. I'm afraid that you've called the wrong person. I don't have a child," he said."We're not mistaken. Your wife made an appointment for today's stem cell transplantation of your two children, but we can't contact her so we can only contact you. We called you many times but your phone had been switched off. Please come to our hospital quickly."Cirrus was more puzzled. I have... two children who will have stem cell transplantation? Before he could figure out what was going on, another phone call came. It was a call from Peter.Cirrus immediately answered the phone and said, "Peter, what did you do? Didn't I ask you to go through the divorce procedure on my behalf? Why did the staff in the hospital call me and say I have children?""Mr. Williams, you'd better come to the hospital immediately," Peter said in a low voice on the other end of the line."... What's going on?" Cirrus asked."It’s a little complicated. It's hard to explain it in a few words," Peter said with a hesitant look. "Besides, just now, Miss. Walker has..."

Vivian's throat tightened when she heard this and she fell into silence.
