Corentin! Following Elara's gaze, everyone looked towards a corner booth and saw a man sitting there with a determined and sunny face. However, his cheap attire greatly diminished their impression of Corentin. How could the campus belle be interested in him?
Moreover, he doesn't seem to be a student at Kangserene University, right?
To avoid unnecessary trouble, Corentin didn't sit with them. Little did he know that Elara had deliberately caused him a big problem.
Mirela shook her head. Her cousin was really causing trouble for no reason.
Corentin was taken aback for a moment, then immediately understood Elara's intention. She was using him as a scapegoat. This was a ruthless move. Corentin hadn't expected Elara to resort to such tactics. It was too cunning. From the moment he saw Tarip, Corentin could tell that he wasn't a kind-hearted person.
Everyone looked at Corentin with sympathy. After all, Tarip was not only handsome but also a ruthless character. There was a male student who once wrote a love letter to Elara, and Tarip directly broke his leg. Surprisingly, the male student didn't report it but chose to drop out and disappear.
"This classmate is really lucky," Tarip looked at Corentin, a meaningful smile playing on his lips. It was clear that he had hidden intentions behind his smile.
Fortunately, Corentin didn't look too old, so everyone mistook him for a student of the university.
At this moment, Corentin could only smile and keep quiet. Explaining would only be a cover-up, so it was better to say nothing at all.
A fragrant breeze blew, and Elara's captivating figure had already arrived in front of him. "Corentin, let's go dance."
"Man, don't go, or you'll die a miserable death," a male student sitting behind him gently tugged at Corentin's clothes and whispered.
Could a poor loser dare to dance with Elara right under Tarip's nose? They didn't even consider that Tarip had been pursuing Elara for a year. He wouldn't tolerate any interference in his pursuit.
So everyone believed that Corentin was surely going to be scared and run away. However, the next scene left everyone stunned, their mouths dropping to the floor.
Corentin stood up with a smile, and with one hand, he directly held onto Elara's delicate waist. He whispered in her ear, "As you wish."
Oh my god, there really was someone in this world who wasn't afraid of death. Everyone felt their nerves tighten, unable to believe what they were witnessing.
Tarip clenched his fists, his eyes filled with gloom. "Since you want to die, I'll grant your wish!"
"You…" Elara felt the warmth of his palm on her waist, shocked and embarrassed. She couldn't believe that Corentin had actually agreed to her invitation. Did he not fear Tarip's crazy retaliation?
Even if she didn't know his identity, just by looking at his expensive designer clothes, she could tell he was a rich second-generation. He was definitely not someone a poor bodyguard like him could provoke!
In Elara's mind, she wanted to teach Corentin a lesson and stage the scene in front of her. But she had expected Corentin to run away in the face of Tarip's ruthlessness. Yet, Corentin didn't!
Elara was somewhat worried about Corentin's fate. After all, she only wanted to teach him a small lesson, not to have him lose his hands or legs and ruin his life.
As Corentin held onto the campus belle's slender waist, the softness and delicacy of her fingertips made his heart flutter. He smiled and said, "What's wrong with me? Didn't you say you wanted to invite me to dance?"
Elara bit her lip and said, "Aren't you afraid of death? Tarip is very powerful. Let go of me."
Corentin smiled faintly. "Sometimes, a man's pride is more important than his life. I don't want to be a deserter."
Elara looked at his expression, his words filled with fearlessness and a confident smile. There was a sense of determination that could make mountains crumble and disappear in a flash. Although she found him annoying, he did look good.
"Pah!" Elara spat in her heart. He was just an arrogant and conceited villain.
Before Elara could say anything else, Corentin held onto her waist and walked directly under the spotlight. At this moment, soft music filled the basketball arena as the sound system played the melody of a social dance.
Since he thinks life is too long, it's not my fault. Elara closed her eyes and placed her small hand on Corentin's shoulder. One hand intertwined with Corentin's large hand as they began to dance the smooth movements of the social dance.
At this moment, the entire basketball arena fell into an eerie silence. All eyes were focused on Corentin and Elara as they gracefully spun under the spotlight. Meanwhile, Tarip's face grew increasingly gloomy.
Corentin looked at her willow leaf eyebrows, phoenix eyes, and the flawless beauty of her snow-white complexion. He couldn't help but tighten his hold on her waist.
Hooligan! Elara felt both embarrassed and angry. This guy who wasn't afraid of death was truly audacious.
As he smelled the fragrance in the air, Corentin sighed. Elara, the campus belle, had her own unique scent, which smelled particularly good.
"This guy is really lucky," everyone looked at Corentin and praised with a sigh. But as their gaze shifted, they saw Tarip's face with bulging veins, followed by a sigh. "I'm afraid he won't enjoy his life."
Elara felt the cold gaze of Tarip and secretly wondered if Corentin was truly foolish or just pretending. When she looked at him, she saw a confident and charming smile. Somehow, Elara felt her heavy heart begin to relax. In the beautiful music, she felt as if she was in a world that belonged only to her and Corentin. It was quite wonderful.
"He's done for," everyone in their hearts was certain because the campus belle had shown an intoxicated expression!
Finally, the song ended, and Elara snapped back to reality. The serene dance had caused a blush to rise on her pretty face.
"Good, very good!" A loud applause echoed in the basketball arena as Tarip clapped his hands, forcing a smile as he walked towards Elara.
Corentin didn't mince words. "Thank you."
Through gritted teeth, Tarip said three words, "You did well."
"Enough, I'll be embarrassed if you say more," Corentin said with a "shy" smile.
Damn it! Tarip regretted not bringing a knife. Otherwise, he would have definitely killed this pretentious bastard.
Tarip sneered, "I'll make you even more embarrassed."
"Chairman Nadia, are you trying to intimidate me?"
"Do I need to intimidate you? Anyway, you have crossed my bottom line, so you will die a gruesome death."
"I have a problem since I was young, and that is that I'm not afraid of death."
"Good, remember what I said today. I hope you don't come begging for mercy and spouting nonsense."
"Pu!" Just as Tarip finished speaking and was about to leave, a shocking sound came from him.
"Oops," Corentin covered his nose and said, "Chairman Nadia, didn't you tell me not to spout nonsense? Why are you doing it yourself? Don't you have any sense of righteousness?"
"Pu-Pu!" The crowd, who were still covering their noses, burst into laughter. This male student on stage was truly a joker. Did he have to be so insulting in his words?
"You!" Tarip was extremely angry, but before he could say anything, another "Pu!" sound came from him.
At this moment, Tarip was so embarrassed that he wished he could find a hole to hide in. As the president of the student union and coming from a prestigious family, he had never experienced such humiliation and insult before!
"Puff!"
"Puff!"
"..."
One fart sound after another came, and the crowd held their noses tightly. Their expressions changed. Was it normal to fart once, but was it still normal to fart continuously more than ten times?
Everyone's hearts started pounding. What was going on? Could it be that Tarip was possessed? It was really strange.
