Chapter 8 Suspicious of Her Identity

Antony watched the woman walked away, but he couldn’t be angry.

“Mr. Davis, it’s almost time. We should go to the airport.” Liu Xu took a lot of effort to make his voice sound normal.

His voice eased the awkward atmosphere on the scene.

So, everyone went along.

Antony, who was sitting in the car, looking at the front driver’s seat and Liu Xu’s shaky shoulders. He threw the folder in his hand which hit the steering wheel.

“Just laugh.” He knew that today’s scene would definitely become his flaw for life.

“Haha…” Liu Xu didn’t hesitate and started to shake in laughter.

“Haha… How is it, Antony? It feels uncomfortable, right? Haha…” No wonder he rejoiced in his misfortune. Antony and he were classmates in junior high school. Since the day he met him, he lived like the world revolved around him.

He had never seen him being treated so disregarded before, and he was treated that way by a babysitter.

When Helen opened up the black paper bag Xia Yu gave her, there were several packs of sanitary pad for days and nights, there was even several brands. She couldn’t help but laugh. This man was really thoughtful. There were even women’s underwear in the bag and jeans.

Her face turned hot again. The man’s attentiveness really amazed her and it was a little tuching.

She handled herself quickly.

When she got out of the bathroom, she saw Xia Yu leaning on the corner.

Seeing her come out, Xia Yu greeted her, “You’re done?”

He asked so straightforwardly that it made Helen blush again.

“Thank you,” she said so softly.

Xia Yu pursed his mouth and the corners of his lips raised. An arrogant person like him had never thought that he would do such a thing for a woman one day. After he did it, he even felt satisfied.

“Where are you going? I’ll take you.”

Helen actually didn’t want to trouble Xia Yu anymore, but after looking at the time, Paddy might cause trouble when he woke up if she didn’t return now.

“Sorry for troubling you, Dr. Xia.”

“Helen Brown, is your conscience made of stone? I’m already like this and you still act so estrange with me?” he complained. When he heard her call him Dr. Xia, he halted in his steps and stared at Helen’s back. He looked like a child who didn’t get to eat candy.

Helen licked her dry lips and turned, not knowing whether wanted to cry or laugh. She stared at Xia Yu and stretched out her right hand and said in serious tone, “Xia Yu, my name is Helen Brown. Do take care of me in the future.”

They shook hands.

Then there was Xia Yu’s brilliant smile.

So sunny, so dazzling… but also so far away.

“Antony, we won’t go to the airport anymore. Then, should we wait for your nanny and take her too?” He had just received a phone and the other person said that things had changed, so there wasn’t the need to go a business trip.

Liu Xu’s previous playfulness had vanishes. He turned and ask for Antony’s opinion and reminded him, “You can’t get taxi over there.”

However, Antony was still angry and glared at him, “When do you have such a good heart? It’s her own business how to get back. Drive!”

After he said that, he turned his head to look out the window.

It just so happened he saw Helen walked out with Xia Yu on her side.

She was wearing that black-and-white checkered shirt, and she looked to have change her pants. She looked much better after she changed into good-quality outfits.

However, when he thought about what she had done to him, he closed her eyes and didn’t want to look at her longer. A nanny wasn’t worth his attention.

But…

“Hey, never thought that your nanny knows such a rich person. He drives an Aston Martin…. A global limited edition. He looks successful too. Say, what’s their relationship? The man seems to like her very much… Look, he even opens the door for her. With the looks of your nanny, is this man’s eyes…”

“Do you want to go or not? If not, then get out,” he interrupted Liu Xu’s chatter. Antony was getting angrier.

He opened his eyes and glanced through the rearview at the car behind him. His eyes darkened. A babysitter actually knew such a man with great background. And that man seemed to be interested in her.

So it seemed that she went to become his house’s nanny really wasn’t because of money. And there was her cold attitude she acted towards him and her attitude towards that man.

He could be sure that she wasn’t interested in him. Thinking of this made him feel frustrated.

She said he was the best bachelor among the rich and handsome and she couldn’t like him. Then, what about that man? She could like him? Hypocrite!

“Investigate who’s exactly that man later. And what’s the relationship between the two of them?” he ordered Liu Xu as he pulled off the tie from his neck hard.

“Why do you want to check on him? What’s wrong? You were ignored and wanted to get back?”

Antony closed his eyes, ignoring him.

“Let me say. Can’t have all the women in the world like you, right? One man’s meat is another man’s poison. You’re rich, you’re handsome, but what about it? She just doesn’t like you…” Liu Xu said while driving. Such a good chance to ridicule him, Liu Xu would never let him go.

“However, a babysitter is incomparable to Ms. Gao. So, you don’t need to take it that hard. You should be happy that she doesn’t like you, right?”

“I’m worried about my son. She is neither for money and people, then why does she want to take care of Paddy?” Antony couldn’t help to cut in Liu Xu’s chattering with a cold voice. Although he contradicted Paddy’s sudden appearance not just once, but he still his father and should be responsible of him.

“And you, didn’t you say that she has a simple background? Do you think a woman with simple background can know such man? What I see is that you’re getting ready to report to you dad, huh?”

His dad, the army? Liu Xu immediately shook his head and then shut up. He didn’t dare to say more. He had never win against this man once for so many years.

But, he did investigate her data, and there was indeed no problem.

Because Xia Yu wasn’t familiar with C City’s roads, it was already past five when he arrived at The Davis’ residence.

“What… what are you doing here?” Xia Yu couldn’t help but asked aloud when he saw the word ‘The Davis’.
