Chapter 25 Something Happened

Just as when she was about to leave, the heavy door was pulled from the inside, sounded dull. She escaped quickly and entered an empty room next to it.

“Antony, they will hold a celebration party. Let’s go together, okay?” It was Gao Wen’s voice. Her tone was gentle and a bit flirty.

“If I go, I’m afraid they would be comfortable. It’s better if you enjoy yourselves.” Antony replied faintly.

Gao Wen was obviously unhappy with his refusal.

“But they want to see us together, alright? Antony.”

Her acting cute didn’t make Antony agreed.

Antony raised his arm and glanced at his watch, “Well, go enjoy yourself. Tomorrow is grandpa’s birthday. I’ll send someone to pick you up.”

“Tomorrow is tomorrow. Today, I want you to accompany me.” Gao Wen took Antony’s hand and leaned on him.

At that moment, Antony’s phone rang.

He answered his phone, “Hey, Paddy, um, okay, wait there. I’ll come to you now.” After hanging up the phone, he let go of Gao Wen’s arm, and patted her head, “Paddy is waiting for me. I have to go. Have fun, but don’t be too late at night.”

After speaking, he walked towards the exit.

Then, as Helen peeked through the door, she saw Gao Wen stared at Antony as he left. She took out a small white doll from her handbag. She put it in her mouth and biting it hard.

As she bit it, she tore the head and the body apart. Then, she stopped panting and looked at the doll. When she looked at the head that had been torn by her, she showed a creepy smile.

That hideous look and smile, couldn’t help but let Helen gasped.

She held her breath, covered her mouth, and looked terrified.

After she calmed down, she looked over again.

That woman had returned to her elegant state. Her mouth was raised and she looked completely different from earlier.

She suddenly thought of Paddy’s disapproval towards Gao Wen.

Could it be that Paddy had ever seen this side of her?

Suddenly she realized, that side of Gao Wen, even as an adult, seeing it was terrifying, let alone a child.

Thinking of this, she became worried about Paddy.

Although she didn’t know what kind of Gao Wen’s habit is this, it is obvious that her behavior earlier, was the way to vent her anger.

A normal woman would get angry, curse, or worse by hitting, to release her anger.

Her familiar behavior was obviously not the first time.

Thinking of the torn doll head in her hands, she couldn’t help but think of Paddy.

Why would that woman bite off a doll? Why not something else?

She suddenly felt a bit uneasy.

After Gao Wen walked away for a long time, then she slowly came out of that room.

Her phone vibrated.

She checked her phone and it happened to be a video call from Paddy.

She trembled and hung up the phone.

“Paddy, anything wrong?” Her hand slightly trembled as she typed on her phone.

“Helen, tomorrow is my great-grandpa’s birthday. Can you accompany me to look for a present?”

“Where’s your daddy?” Antony obviously got a call from Paddy just now.

“My Dad? He’s very busy. He doesn’t have time.”

Helen frowned, he is very busy and has no time? She clearly just saw Antony answered his phone and seemed like he was going to meet Paddy.

She racked her brain and thought of something. This little kid, he still doesn’t want to give up?

“Paddy, I still have something to do. Maybe, I can’t go with you. Or, you can let Uncle Zhang accompany you.”

Then, there was no response.

Helen thought that he had given up.

She smiled, put her phone in her pocket, and went back to the makeup room without much thought.

There’s only the fat girl inside the makeup room. After seeing Helen, she asked, “Helen, why don’t you go to the celebration party?”

Helen put the makeup case under the table, picked up the backpack, and smiled, “I don’t like such a crowded place. How about you, why don’t you go?” She asked casually.

“Me? My boyfriend is coming to pick me up. So, I won’t go.” Her face was filled with a happy smile. Helen’s heavy heart, felt much better instantly.

The fat girl wasn’t actually fat at all. Just because there’s still baby fat in her face, everyone called her little fat girl.

Not only that she’s not fat, but she’s also beautiful, has a good figure, and likable personality.

Listening to her brought up about her boyfriend, Helen automatically thought of a tall, rich, and handsome man.

“Are you leaving? Let’s go together.” Actually, she only asked casually, but she saw that the fat girl’s expression changed instantly.

She shook her head, “No. I still need to sort out several things. You can leave first.”

Helen nodded. After leaving, she felt her stomach was slightly uncomfortable and went to the bathroom.

As she returned, she headed towards the company entrance, and she saw the fat girl was held by a bald man into a luxury car.

Seeing the bald man’s age, she guessed that he could be as old as her father.

Through the window, she could see that the man held the girl down with his body.

Afraid that she would be found out, Helen glanced, and hid behind a pillar.

As she thought of the smile on the fat girl’s face just now, there’s a surge in her heart.

Does everyone have a different front and backside?

For example, a noble and elegant woman like Gao Wen, had such abnormal behavior.

Such a pure and lively girl like the fat girl….seemed to be someone’s lover or even a mistress?

The phone in her hand vibrated again.

“Paddy…”

“Where are you?”

Antony? She took off the phone by surprise and saw that it was an unfamiliar number.

“Mr. Davis, is there something wrong?”

“Where are you?” Since she didn’t answer him, he asked again. His voice sounded a bit hoarse and trembling.

“I’m about to get off work. Did something happen?”

“Paddy was in a car accident. Quickly come here.”
