Chapter 3 Encounter

"I told you that I hate scheming." He drops a severe sentence, leaving without turning back.

Men are all ruthless; they will drop girls as long as they finished the sex. Considering that, I grab the pillow and throw it to Luke's direction,

Luke closed the door when the pillow smashes on the door plant. Then it falls with a 'pattering.'

My tries my best to sleep with Luke, but finally, I fail.

My phone kept ringing after having a shower.

I hear the sound of Hank Zhang as I pick it up. "Where are you, Rachel Xu?"

"It's none of your business. After all, you won't back home tonight." I sneer back.

We have quarreled for heaps of time like this since I know he cheats on me. It is for vent, so I will choose the harshest words I know.

"Rachel, I know I have cheated on you, I'm sorry for that. But Lina Lin is pregnant, and I have to be responsible." I can feel his fatigue through the phone.


"In which way do you be responsible, by abandoning me? Only do you know Lina is pregnant, but do you know my baby died for your mistress?"

My heart twists, thinking of that. It is a lie to say I don't love Hank. We get married after a four-year relationship in college. We are the couple others admire in our relationship, and we are the module couples we get married. I don't know what happened to us in this position.

Hank fall to silent for a long time. Then he opens his mouth slowly "That is not expected to every, Lina has apologized to you. What's more, she said she wouldn't break our family. And she would send the baby to you since it's hard for you to be pregnant..."

"hank, you are such a jerk."

I am too range by what he said, smashing the phone ground. Finally, Hank treated me as an idiot, and he even wants me to raise his illegitimate child.


I run home angrily, but see Hank's car on the gate of the community. Lina sits on the in the passenger.

"Where have you been? Rachel, don't you know Hank looks for your whole night." Lina comes off the car, taunting.
Maybe Hank is blind so that he can ignore the blatant provocation. Yes, Lina is an innocent girl in his heart.

"Lina, how dare you to appear in my face. Aren't you afraid of pushing by me, and abort your baby?" I stare at her gloomily.

Lina is frightened by me, stepping back with a hand on her belly.

Hank parks the car and walks to us.

"If you are angry, you could vent on me, let off Lina." Hank covers her on her back immediately, staring me vigilantly.

I look at Hank with sorrow, mocking him with disappointment. "Hank, we have been together for seven years, how could you think me on that way?"

Hank explains hurriedly in embarrassment. "I fear that you would harm the baby in her belly impulsively."

'Baby,' the word hurts on me, making me bleed.

I am too disappointed with Hank to stay with him. I ask impatiently, "You come to me for that?"

"My parents are coming, and they will arrive at ten o'clock this morning, remember to pick them up."

Exactly, he won't remember me if there's nothing important.

I have planned to diss him, asking his mistress to pick them up. But I give up, considered the time is not to spare my sensibilities. "Fine, I'll pick them."

Hank used to be busy with his business so that I will pick them for him. But I have a different emotion now.

"Then, I'll go to work."

Hank pulls Lina and drives away.

It is eleven in the evening when we come back. So we eat outside.

I chose the most expensive and favorable restaurant to treat them. I do this for nothing, but a repay to my diligence. I will not be silly like before.

"It's too lucky, we could eat at home. Your priority is to save money for the baby. We couldn't wait to have a grandson." My mother-in-law turns unhappy, seeing the dishes.

My heart feels a painful hearing 'grandson.' My tears almost rushed out of my eyes.

"What's wrong with you?"

"I'm not well and go to the restroom." the sorrow in my heart seems to extend like a tide.

I cover my mouth and cry till I reach to the washbasin.

My best friend has told me not to cry, and it harms the body. So I control my emotion do not cry. But I can't bear it anymore when my mother-in-law asks about the baby.

I turn on the faucet, crying with snot uncollected.

A piece of tissue passes to me suddenly.

I take it with thanks, wiping the tears. Then I look up to see Luke stand by the water basin holding his arm.

"Why are you here?" I am frozen.

"Dine with clients. When I go to the restroom, seeing a woman crying regardless of images." He replies with dislike.

"You are lack of sympathy." I wipe my nose, dissing him.

"But, I give you a piece of tissue."

I stare at the tissue stiffly, is that enough to call sympathy?

"Does it is sympathy? I agree with your suggestion?" He raises his eyebrows, looking at me.

"Is there any problem with my suggestion?"

Then I tiptoe to kiss him with unknown courage.

Luke never thinks I could be bold like that, stiffening his body and distracts his minds. I take the chance and conquer him.

It must be the boldest thing I've ever done in my life.

Then I release Luke, provoking, "How' that?"

"Pretty good."

I suggest proudly, "Cheat is amazing for its excitement, President Sheng. Do you want to have an affair with me?"

Luke stares at me with a thoughtful face. In seconds, his face appears a magical smile that I have lost myself over it.

"OK."

I am attracted by his appearance. No matter men or women like the beautiful face. So do I.

"Rachel, are you OK?"

Luke pulls me inside one room when a sound came.

Maybe it is the nearest, so we don't know it is for male or female. He presses me against the wall as long as we come in.

"What are you going to?" I haven't thought he would do such a thing. Suddenly my nerves tenses.

"F**k you." Luke lifted his mouth, staring at me coldly. "Since yo ignite my desire, you should be responsible."

"But, my mother-in-law is outside there." I don't care much about have sex with Luke. But I don't want to be caught by Mrs.Zhang in the restroom.

"You have the guts to cheat, don't you prepared yourself for being discovered?" Luke whispers in my ear, devilishly.

Then I hear someone opens the door. A scream from my mother-in-law, Mrs.Zhang following. "Rachel."

"Ah!"
