We go our separate ways after lunch. It is pretty exciting in the morning, and I have vented on Hank Zhang, so it's time to work.
I call one of my bestie to hang out with me in the afternoon. Her name is Amanda Ren; she makes great contributions to hunting Luke. Amanda uses her skilled 'sex-trap' to conquer Luke's assistant easily.
"Whatever you want, it's one me."
"You have been a rich woman, just hooks up Luke." Amanda stares at me.
"We get together not for sex, nor love, but money. I won't be with him if he's useless to me."
"I have thought you are smart, but a silly girl." Amanda points at me with anger.
"Youth is the most important to women, and it is short. What have you got been with Hank for seven years? You even can't get a divorce. I have thought that you became wiser to stay with Luke. But you sleep with him asking for nothing. What's the problem with you?" Amanda scolds me bleeding-heart, just like my mom.
I could barely raise my head.
I pretend to be obedient, but nothing will I adopt.
Amanda figures out my 'pretending,' stopping. She stares at me in anger, like a fire burning.
Luckily, the print on my face has disappeared, only leaves swells. So Amanda doesn't notice it.
Amanda takes me to beautify the features. And I will scream in my heart as the assistant touches my swells. But I have to stand because I can't pay Amanda's attention. The massage is cruel torture for me.
We have dinner with Luke's assistant, Daniel Lin. I flee away after dinner; the loving couple will harm me, the poor married woman.
I go to a supermarket to buy some vegetables and fruit. But I find my credit card doesn't work.
I try several times, and the people behind me become impatient.
I had to give up the stuff awkwardly. And I see the strange eyesight from the cashier.
"Pay with hers" A familiar sound appears when I intend to leave.
Luke, like a prince, comes to save me when I'm in trouble. His outstanding temperament and good-looking make the cashier flush and treat us with a right attitude.
He pays, and I call Hank in range, "Why it doesn't work?"
"I have pinned the second card," Hank continues, "You have spent sixty thousand in one day, if I don't freeze it, I am afraid you will spend all the money that I earn the whole year."
I can feel the rage that is almost to roaring up through the phone.
Lina is persuading him patiently. I hang up the phone as soon as I am hearing her voice.
"Buy whatever you want with this card." Luke passes me a golden card with his long fingers.
"No, thank you. We are not like that."
Luke pauses, taking back the card. Amanda may get angry if she knows I refuse his money.
"Fine, but it's too late, kind of dangerous for a girl. I'll drive you home." Luke presses the button on the remote control to open the door.
I nod and follow him to get in the car. It suddenly occurs to me that I'll be better to be with him, even one minute.
Luke drives the car, saying.
"We are lovers, I can't give my love to you, but I will make up you with money."
Luke's words like needle stings on my heart. It is hard for me to accept when he says directly, even if I know the relationship between us at the beginning.
"I don't need your money." I bit my lips with a determined tone.
"So, you plan to do the same with what happened today?" Luke raises his eyebrows, asking.
"I'll find a job; I can raise myself." Luke's wors harm my dignity.
I am a woman who has relied on men in Hank and Luke's views.
Luke freezes, talking to me. "I can help you to find a job."
"No, thank you. I can do it myself." I respond unwillingly. I will live life all through my efforts.
In a few minutes, we' re arrive at my house.
I wave to Luke and Let him go first. But he insists on watching me go upstairs.
His sweetness makes me feel better from the bad mood by the freezes card.
I step into the bedroom, and Hank is smoking on the balcony. The bedroom is full of smoke. He turns to me, grouchily, asking, "Who send you back?"
