Chapter 7 You Should Pay

by Cashie 14:26,Aug 03,2020
I throw my clothes on Hank Zhang's face. "Do you think I can't recognize my clothes?"

Then I walk hurriedly to Lina Lin and tear her clothes off. "How shameless you are, is it not enough for you to have my husband? You want my clothes too."

Lina is frightened by me. She walks backward, hides on Hank's back, covering her belly.

Hank throws the cloth to the ground, pulls his arm to stop me then.

He slaps me!

I am stunned; we have been living for seven years. Hank hasn't beat me even during the worst periods. But he slaps on me for her.

Lina hides behind Hank, smiles with gloating.

Hank is panicking, then explains. "You're crazy; I'm just afraid of hurting the baby."

The spank slaps away the last lingering to him.

If I still stuck in the marriage now is to dissatisfy her. But I won't divorce Hank easily, because I know who he is.

Men are ruthless; I guess Hank will give me half of the debts.

I ask my homie to check his account. But there is no evidence to prove he transfer the assets within marriage, nor he buys the house for her. He has planned this for a long time.

I fall into thoughts, when I come back, they have left. I feel something stuck in my hear, making me can't breathe.

I squat, feeling painful as others grab my heart.

Luke Sheng supports me to stand up. He touches the apparent print softly, asking angrily, "Who did this?"

"Hank." I fall in his arms and cry.

I have pretended to be brave for long times. Maybe Luke is a reliable lover, so I indulge myself in front of him.

Luke takes me to a car and passes a tissue for me.

"You are not promising." He jeers.

"He sends the clothes to his mistress, how could he be shameless like this?" I sob while wiping the tears.

"He has been shameless for long. Just for a coat, you pay too much."

"But you buy it for me." Luke patted my head softly, saying. "You do like it, and I'll buy you a better one."

He behaves like to conform to a child, and I feel secure beside him.

Luke takes me to expensive shops, and I'm stunned by its price tag. Each of the clothes cost more than ten thousand.

"Show me a new her from head to her feet." Luke requires.

In a couple of minutes, the clerk picks some for me and suggests, "You have light skin, so you look gorgeous. And you can try these I pick for you, they will make you look more graceful."

I try all she recommend me and finally chose the gray one. It looks elegant and straightforward. And I look more pretty in this suit.

I stop Luke as he is paying.

He looks unpleasant, frowning his eyebrows.

"This is the second card of Hank; he should pay me." I take off a card, pointing at the print on my face.

Han earns thirty thousand a month. So he is deeply troubled by the mortgage payments, and pills for Lina. And what I won't do is to make it worse.

Luke understands what I'm considering. So he doesn't insist. The clerk passes me a pair of shoes cheerfully; she thinks that I must be a rich woman.

I spend fifty thousand for suits and the shoes, which will drive Hank crazy.

Then Hank calls the same with what I have thought. I glance at Luke and shut the phone down.
"Follow me to my company."

"What for?" I get nervous. I don't offend him openly, after all. So it not wise to choose to have him gotten something on me.

"Vent for you."

I don't understand what he means, following him with head lower. Luckily, it's not working time, so few people are there in the elevator. I breathe a sigh of relief.

"Are you being a wuss?" Luke sneers.

I stare at him in angry and lower my head as the gate opens on the third floor.

"Hank, Rachel Xu must be shopping now, so it is unconnected, don't be angry."

I know it's Lina's voice. Luke suddenly covers and plants a kiss on me.
