Chapter 2 A Mad Scar-Face

The suit man pushed Luke Chen away and immediately left. Such rudeness didn’t really irritate Luke, he just shook his head and made for the Stars Group since the suit man had shown him the way. But suddenly he perceived slight noises, he looked to the corner of the block, seconds later there came a black car with no licence plate being chased down by four police cars in tow.

Bumping everything away on the road, the black car hit the break and stopped in the middle of the road as five more police cars came out from the other side of the road. Tens of policemen came out of the car and took their guns out as they set up the cordons and dispersed the pedestrians.

Soon a man, strong and has a scar on his face, in black vest and camo pants came out of the car. He dragged a girl out of the car and placed a dagger around her neck.

“Put down the weapon and release the hostage! Don’t do anything to her, or there will be no way back for you!”

“Shut the fuck up! Get you captain here and then we can have a talk!” Sneered the scar man as he burst into scary laughter and patted on the girl’s face,”Don’t keep me waiting for too long, you cops, I won’t hesitate to kill her when I feel like it!”

No one dared even take a step closer to the scar man. Soon another police car arrived from which came a female officer that had her hair tied into a ponytail, looking valiant. She is Sara Liu, the captain of the criminal police division in Guanghua City.

“Captain Liu! Now it’s my turn to revenge for my brother! You killed him a year ago!” Shouted the scar man, glaring at Sara.

“You still have your chance of not being sentenced to death if you drop the weapon and release the hostage right now!” Sneered Sara.

“You can’t even get any closer to me, you useless cops!” Shouted the scar man as he spitted on the ground,”But I can give you all a chance: I can set this girl free, but you have to replace her!”

Sara’s hesitation made the scar man burst into laughter again:”Where’s out brave and heroic captain Liu now, huh?”

“Fine, I’ll...”

But she was interrupted by another voice of a young man:”Shame on you, buddy, asking such a beautiful officer to be your hostage.”

It drew everyone’s attention, and it was Luke sitting on the top of a police car, staring at the scar man as if he was watching a movie. Everyone was surprised since none of them noticed then did Luke got there, but they had more pressing priority to deal with. As a few policemen try to get him down, Luke just leaped upward and landed near Sara.

Sara is a three-time winner of kickboxing match of Guanghua City’s police, but she also failed to find out how Luke did it:”I don’t know why you are here or how you got near us, but as you can see now, we’re in the middle of a serious crime. For your own safety, please just leave here.”

But Luke just smiled, got near Sara’s ear and whispered:”I'm Luke Chen, can you marry me after I take that scar-face down?”
