Before Sara Liu got to slap Luke on his face, Luke had taken another leap and crossed the cordon, making his way to the scar-face. There were police cursing that such audacity may lead to casualty, some pedestrians were also shouting to Luke, asking to get out of there immediately.

“Do you guys really think that he could kill that girl when I’m around?” Said Luke as he shook his head.

“Who the fuck are you? Get away from me!” Shouted the scar-face, it was not that he was scared but his patience was wearing thin, then he placed the dagger at the girls’ neck and nicked it, people could see that there were already a small amount of blood oozing out of it. Then he shouted to the police: ”Sara Liu! Come over here or I’ll slit this girl’s throat right now!”

But as Sara took a step up and the scar-face put on a vicious smile, Luke spoke again:”You’d better get down on your knees now, I may go easy on you if you do so, scumbag.”

To the pedestrians and the police, Luke was only making the situation worse.

“Go fuck yourself!” Shouted the scar-face as he took a pistol out of his pocket, aimed at Luke and pulled the trigger. He left no time for people to wonder whether he would really shoot someone. But just as the bullet came out of the pistol, Luke threw two silver needles toward it, one of which hit the bullet and knocked it away.

Two seconds later, the panic that the scar-face just fired his gun hit the crowd and soon people started screaming and running away, though none noticed what Luke just did, people could only tell that Luke was still standing there safe and sound.

Did the scar-face missed it?

But seconds later, the pistol and the scar-face both fell down on the ground, looking terrified. There were foams coming out of his mouth and he couldn’t even make a sound. No one knew what just happen, even the girl that was kept as hostage was too shocked to know that she should run away.

But Sara noticed that Luke waved his hands just as the scar-face pulled the trigger. As hard as she tried to deny, it did seem like it was Luke that take the scar-face down. The mystery on Luke triggered her curiosity. Luke just walked near the scar face and took one of the two needles back.

“Thank...thank you, sir! I’m...Janice Lin!” Murmured the girl, blushing as she laid her eyes on Luke’s face. Then she let out a short scream and started straightening out her clothes.

“You’re welcome, girl. Just be careful next time, you don’t always meet people like me.” Smiled Luke, then he squatted down by the scar-face side and said:”Well, you had your chance. Now you’ll have to live the rest of your life lying on the bed.”

Ignoring the fear in the scar-face eyes, Luke rose to his feet and was met with the look of curiosity on Sara’s face.

“How did you do it?” Asked Sara.

“Well, marry me, then I’ll tell you.” Smiled Luke, and soon continued,”Wait...sorry, you could only be my concubine, I have a wife already.”

The curiosity of Sara was replaced with embarrassment and anger:”You have a wife? Why would anyone marry you? I mean, you look nothing different than a beggar!”

“Well, this is my wife, Jennifer Su.” Said Luke as he showed Sara a picture. Sara took a deep breath as she saw the woman in the picture and was stunned by her beauty. And it was true that it was Jennifer in the picture.

But Sara soon restored calmness and handed the picture back, since she thoughts that in no possibilities would Jennifer marry someone like Luke, it’s like having a Queen marrying a peasant.
