I laughed in the car while wiping my drenched legs from rainwater. I laughed to the silly songs on the radio, and the way the sleepy DJ's talked to each other, hoping their listeners were still awake like them. I laughed all the way home until my back hit the soft mattress in my bedroom, and I was tucked away safely under the covers.
