chapter 12 do you want to learn

Just as she uttered those words.
Even Moria herself was stunned.
Actually.
She didn't mean to say "Come home with me," but something else.
But somehow.
Her brain glitched, and those words came out unintentionally.
When faced with Noah's inquiry.
Moria instantly blushed.
Her eyes were watery, filled with embarrassment.
However.
Fortunately, she was quick-witted and found an excuse to extricate herself.
"I meant, where do you live? I'll take you home!"
"I don't have a home," Noah replied, with a wry smile. "Today is my first time in the North Sea."
"What brings you here, to work?" Moria asked.
Noah replied, "I came to marry my wife, but, she's not my wife anymore..."
"You broke up?" Moria was taken aback.
She hadn't expected this rough-looking guy to have a wife.
However.
Although he dressed plainly, his face was handsome and clean, with a sunny disposition.
Being able to find a girlfriend wasn't entirely out of the question.
Of course.
If his girlfriend broke up with him, it was probably for a reason.
In today's society, with materialism rampant, a man without money, no matter how handsome, couldn't hold onto a woman's heart.
Moria speculated.
The wife Noah mentioned should be from the same place as him. After experiencing the flashy world of the North Sea, she probably didn't want to endure hardship with him anymore, so she dumped him...
Such commonplace stories.
Moria had long been accustomed to them.
"Sort of," Noah lightly agreed.
There was a hint of sadness.
He had waited for this wife for twenty years, and who would've thought, without even meeting her, everything would come to an abrupt end. This kind of thing, whoever experienced it, wouldn't feel too good.
Moria's expression changed slightly, a hint of sympathy appearing on her bright and delicate face.
"I think you're quite capable. You'll succeed in the future. Nowadays, without money, it's indeed hard to find a girl. So, you should work hard and strive to make money!"
Noah nodded, "I understand."
"Do you have a place to stay now?" Moria asked.
Noah said, "I did, but not anymore. I plan to rough it under the bridge for a night."
He was referring to Erica.
But with Erica in trouble herself, she wouldn't be able to arrange accommodation for Noah.
However.
From Moria's expression, she seemed unaware that her good friend Erica was currently in big trouble.
"Well, my temporary place is quite spacious, with three bedrooms and two living rooms. Besides one roommate, there's an empty room. So, why don't you come and stay with me for now?" After a brief thought, Moria suggested to Noah.
The reason she did so was.
On one hand, it was indeed because she felt sorry for him.
Alone, helpless, just being dumped by his girlfriend, he was at the lowest point in his life.
On the other hand.
She also really wanted to learn from Noah, those mysterious and profound healing techniques he possessed.
Noah wasn't fond of taking advantage of others.
Besides.
He and Moria were just chance acquaintances, with no connection.
But, thinking that he also had nowhere to go for the time being, after careful consideration, he said to Moria, "Dr. Qin, is it okay?"
"Of course!"
"Do I need to pay?"
"No need. I bought that house. Of course, if you make money later, you can pay rent. It's not too late." Moria smiled.
Noah scratched his head, looking innocent, and said, "Thank you, there are a lot of good people!"
In the morning, Erica gave him a job.
Now, Moria gave him a place to stay.
Although he lost his wife, life was slowly getting better!
That was how it was.
Noah went home with Moria.
Walking halfway, Moria glanced at the snakeskin bag Noah was carrying and curiously asked, "What's in there? All those things you're carrying?"
Noah said, "They're just some daily necessities and tools."
"Can I see?" Moria asked.
Noah didn't refuse, stopped, and opened the snakeskin bag in front of Moria.
Moria leaned over and saw that everything was as Noah had said, just some ordinary things.
Pots, pans, pillows, and some papers, pens, and letters.
This small bag.
Like a portable warehouse, everything, whether it should be there or not, was inside.
Moria was somewhat disappointed by this.
She thought there might be treasures in the bag, after all, she saw Noah save people twice, taking things out of this bag.
"There seem to be a few envelopes inside?"
"These are letters my master wrote to my senior sister before he died."
"Oh, what's the yellow paper and cinnabar for?"
"For drawing talismans," Noah replied.
"Are you a priest?"
"No, then how do you know how to draw talismans?"
Noah said, "In this world, not only priests can draw talismans, priests do too!"
"So you're a priest?" Moria's eyes lit up.
Noah still shook his head, explaining slowly, "Not really. I learn whatever my master teaches me, so I know a little bit about everything."
Moria's gaze sharpened, unable to help but praise, "Then your master must be talented."
"My master is indeed quite impressive, but I'm even better. My master always says I surpass him in many aspects!" Noah said.
Moria also chuckled, "Hehe, you're really not modest at all."
Noah said earnestly, "My master said, one must be honest, down-to-earth, and have a clear conscience!"
Moria was stunned.
To be honest.
In all her life, Moria had never seen anyone like Noah.
He looked silly.
Sure, he seemed naive, but he had extraordinary abilities and an air of mystery.
To say he wasn't silly.
He was pure-hearted, without a trace of deceit, like a natural, unpolished gemstone.
For some reason.
Moria scrutinized Noah, suddenly intrigued.
Curiosity about this handsome country bumpkin surged in her mind!
As the two walked side by side, in the darkness, several tall, burly figures emerged from the corner, blocking their path.
As Moria stopped in her tracks.
She turned to see several more people emerging from behind, surrounding the two of them.
"Kid, come with us!"
Among the group of burly men, the leader stepped forward, his eyes cold as he spoke to Noah.
Moria's face changed slightly, and she asked, "Your enemies?"
Noah replied truthfully, "I don't know them. They've been following me since I left my wife's house."
Hearing this.
Moria's mind immediately began to wander.
A poor boy goes to find a gold-digger.
The gold digger heartlessly dumps him.
But then, fearing the poor boy might spill their past, she especially calls people to come and deal with him.
At this thought.
Moria sighed, "Looks like your girlfriend isn't such a good person, huh? Not only did she dump you, but she also sent people to deal with you."
Noah remained silent.
Because he wasn't sure why these people had come looking for him either.
"Kid, you better come with us quietly. You might get off easier that way. Otherwise, our fists aren't joking around!"
The lead burly man, rubbing his fists menacingly, issued a threat.
The others also started to stir, pulling out knives and clubs.
Seeming ready and eager to try their luck!
Noah frowned, knowing the intentions of the approaching group weren't good, and was about to shield Moria behind him.
But.
Moria took a step forward.
Noah was surprised by her actions.
However.
What happened next astonished him!
The elegant and beautiful Moria, in that moment of rushing out, was like an agile mother leopard.
In the blink of an eye, before it was too late, Moria swiftly kicked, sending the burly man standing at the front flying.
Seeing this, the others were dumbfounded.
Clearly.
They hadn't expected this seemingly frail girl to be so fierce!
After knocking down one person, Moria launched another fierce attack, dancing in with butterfly steps.
A jab followed by an uppercut knocked one down instantly.
A high kick, coupled with a flying knee, sent another flying.
"Damn!"
"This woman knows how to fight, let's all take her down together."
In just a few seconds, amidst the astonishment, Moria had knocked down three people in a row.
The remaining few quickly reacted, brandishing their weapons and surrounding Moria.
Moria remained calm, evading while waiting for the right moment to strike.
She moved with agility, adept at both offense and defense.
Bang!
Another lightning-fast attack followed, and the fourth person was knocked out cold by a blow to the chin.
Before long, all six thugs who had ill intentions towards Noah were knocked down by Moria.
The entire process flowed smoothly, and seamlessly.
After finishing the fight, she wasn't even out of breath.
Seeing this, Noah couldn't help but marvel.
He probably hadn't expected Moria, the quiet Dr. Qin, to be so fierce.
Observing her fighting skills, it wasn't traditional martial arts but a modern mix of boxing, Muay Thai, and Karate.
Every move emphasized speed, power, and accuracy without any frills.
"Go back and tell the ones who sent you."
"Know when to stop; don't push your luck. Bullying a helpless young man doesn't prove anything."
Moria delivered this stern warning to the groaning thugs on the ground before taking Noah's hand and leaving.
After walking a distance, Moria assured Noah, "Don't be afraid, with me around, no one can bully you!"
Noah could have easily dealt with those people himself.
But plans changed.
Before he could act, Moria took the lead!
"Dr. Qin, how do you know martial arts?" Noah asked.
Moria replied casually, "Just for fun. Stay fit for no reason, and help out when needed."
"Oh," Noah responded.
Moria's eyes flashed, and she turned to ask, "Why, do you want to learn?"
