Noah shook his head.
Seeing he wasn't interested, Moria couldn't help but say, "I think boys should learn some martial arts, not to be aggressive but to be prepared. If it weren't for me just now, you might have been beaten up by that group."
Noah wiped his nose but remained silent.
To be honest, even if Moria hadn't intervened, those people wouldn't have been able to harm Noah.
Perhaps Moria's martial arts skills were impressive to ordinary people, but to Noah, they were nothing special!
Of course, he kept these thoughts to himself.
About half an hour later, Moria brought Noah to her home.
Located within the Third Ring Road, it was a medium to high-end residential area.
The house was spacious, with over 100 square meters.
Given the skyrocketing property prices in the North Sea, this house was worth at least over 10 million.
As Moria had said, it had three bedrooms and two living halls.
The master bedroom and a slightly larger guest room belonged to Moria and her other friend.
The smallest room was given to Noah for his temporary stay.
"Dr. Qin, do you have a dog?"
"It's not mine, it belongs to my friend. It's a German Shepherd, a police dog," Moria said.
Noah paused. "A police dog?"
"Yeah, because my friend is a cop, a detective. I learned martial arts from her," Moria explained.
Noah's expression changed slightly. He had smelled the dog odor as soon as he entered.
That was why he asked Moria if she had a dog.
"If your girlfriend sends people to bully you again, just call the police. My friend has a strong sense of justice and will help you," Moria advised.
Noah nodded lightly.
He couldn't help but feel curious about Moria's friend she mentioned.
"Oh, by the way, you should take your things to that room first. I'll find some bedding and tidy up the bed for you," Moria arranged.
"Okay!"
Noah grabbed his snake-skin bag and headed over.
However, before they could clean the room, Moria received a sudden phone call.
"Moria, are you home?" A woman's anxious voice came from the other end.
"Just got back, what's wrong?" Moria asked.
"It's a big deal. I was chasing a criminal with Buddy, and that guy had a gun. Buddy got injured when he chased after him. He's in critical condition. Hurry over!" the woman said urgently.
"Where are you?" Moria's face changed drastically.
"Near our house. I'll send you the location."
After hanging up, Moria received a location message on her phone.
She looked panicked and rushed towards the door.
Noah immediately followed, asking, "Dr. Qin, what's happening?"
Moria urgently replied, "My friend's dog was shot, and she's calling me for help!"
Noah immediately suggested, "Then let me come with you and see what's going on."
Moria nodded slightly.
After all, it was the dog that was injured, and she, being a doctor, wasn't skilled in providing emergency care for animals.
Bringing Noah along was like having an insurance policy!
After rushing for a while, they arrived at the scene in a grim and dark alley in the urban village, about ten minutes later.
"Moria, you're here!"
A slightly husky voice with a neutral tone called out.
Noah looked up and immediately saw the owner of the voice—a person in a sharp police uniform with a tall and graceful figure.
Their short hair was both simple and fierce.
Of course, the most striking feature was the person's face.
She had a strong and handsome appearance, with delicate and breathtaking features that seemed to blend both masculine and feminine qualities.
Beside this female officer stood several male policemen, frantically trying to save the German Shepherd lying on the ground.
The German Shepherd had been shot in the chest, and blood was gushing from a thumb-sized hole.
The female officer was desperately trying to stem the bleeding with her hat, but it was dyed red and unable to staunch the wound.
"Moria, please save Buddy," the female officer pleaded desperately upon seeing Moria's arrival as if grasping at a lifeline.
Moria's expression became serious. After a brief examination, she whispered, "It seems like the pulmonary artery was hit. I can't save him in this condition. He needs to be taken to a pet hospital immediately!"
"It's too late. Given Buddy's condition, he won't last long. If I carry him and travel while he's in this state, he'll die soon..." the female officer cried out in despair.
Dogs were different from humans.
If a person got injured, they could call for emergency help.
But if a dog got hurt, there was no emergency hotline to call. After all, there were very few pet hospitals equipped with ambulances specifically for animals.
If the female officer had any other choice, she probably wouldn't have called Moria.
As everyone felt helpless and panicked, a voice suddenly spoke up, "Why don't you let me try?"
The female officer turned abruptly, looking at Noah, and asked, "Who are you?"
Moria quickly said, "He's a new friend of mine, and he's very skilled in medicine!"
"Do you have a way to save Buddy?" The female officer's eyes lit up as she asked.
Noah paused briefly before replying, "I can give it a try."
The female officer hesitated for a moment but ultimately nodded. After all, she didn't have any other choice at the moment and could only trust this stranger.
So, Moria willingly made room, allowing Noah to approach the German Shepherd.
He squatted down and took a look, confirming Moria's assessment—it was indeed hit in the pulmonary artery.
Normally, a wound like this would be fatal, and the dog should have died long ago.
It was probably the dog's strong will to survive that kept it alive until now.
"Hang in there, buddy! I'll save you."
Noah communicated telepathically to the unconscious German Shepherd.
Suddenly, something miraculous happened.
The German Shepherd, upon hearing Noah's call, struggled to open its eyes and asked, "Are you talking to me?"
"Yes!" Noah nodded.
"Quick, go after him! I bit him, and he shot me!" the German Shepherd exclaimed weakly.
"Who is he?" Noah inquired.
Despite being extremely weak, the German Shepherd managed to explain.
"He's a serial killer!"
"In just three months, he's committed nine consecutive murders, all young girls... The police have been investigating intensively but haven't found any clues about him."
"Tonight, my owner and I were patrolling the streets and finally found him. He reacted too quickly and ran away as soon as he saw us. I chased after him and bit him, but he shot me!"
As the German Shepherd spoke, it whimpered and continued.
"I saw the killer's face. Friend, can you please tell my owner for me?"
Noah asked, "Is your owner the female police officer next to me?"
"Yes, her name is Viola Li, 25 years old, the captain of the detective team," the German Shepherd introduced.
Then, the German Shepherd provided Noah with detailed physical descriptions of the killer.
Meanwhile, Noah wasn't idle either.
While massaging the wound, he transferred a trace of spiritual energy from his energy center to the German Shepherd, temporarily alleviating its dire condition.
Furthermore!
With a large hand, Noah retrieved the bullet embedded in the German Shepherd's body, seemingly performing a magic trick as it appeared in the palm of his hand.
Everyone witnessing this scene was astonished.
Viola exclaimed, "Removing the bullet without touching it?!"
Meanwhile, Moria, puzzled and shocked, couldn't help but gasp in disbelief.
This was the third time she witnessed Noah's intervention within a day.
However.
His skills were like a kaleidoscope, ever-changing and versatile!
For the previous two, she hadn't even figured out the principles yet.
Who would have thought?
This one, once again, overturned her understanding.
"How did you do that?" Moria blurted out.
Noah replied, "Breathing Exercise!"
Moria froze, lightly covering her red lips, her face full of astonishment.
Willow-Branch Exorcism.
Flying Needles.
And now, there was another one, a Breathing Exercise to retrieve the bullet?!
