Maggie knocked on the door and walked in with Kane.
"Mr. Grady, the family of this patient wants to borrow a set of silver needles," Kane smiled and greeted Mr. Grady.
Kane smiled at Mr. Grady, "Hello, Mr. Grady. Could I borrow your silver needles?"
Mr. Grady frowned upon hearing this. "Why do you want to borrow silver needles?"
"To save a life," Kane replied.
"Do you know acupuncture?" Mr. Grady was somewhat surprised. In this day and age, with traditional Chinese medicine on the decline, there were not many doctors who knew acupuncture.
"A little bit," Kane modestly replied.
Mr. Grady glanced at the young boy on the sickbed and said, "I have two sets of silver needles, one at home and one used on this child."
Once again, Kane looked at the poisoned young boy. The Heavenly Eyes unconsciously opened, seeing the extraordinary meridians and bones of the boy in vivid detail.
The poison had entered the boy's heart meridian, but Mr. Grady, with his skill, had temporarily sealed the toxin with thirteen silver needles, preventing it from reaching the heart.
"I can cure his poison. I just hope that after curing him, Mr. Grady can lend me the silver needles."
Although the poison had entered the heart meridian, it was not excessively malicious. It was likely a common pesticide or food poisoning.
The only issue was the prolonged exposure, and the lack of proper treatment had allowed the toxin to reach the heart meridian.
"You can cure it?"
Mr. Grady was astonished. In the entire Land of the Red Dragon, there were probably fewer than five individuals who could cure the poison on this child.
"What nonsense is this? Shameless talk! The child's poison has reached the heart meridian, and it requires Western medicine's electric therapy to treat," interrupted a young man who entered from outside, accompanied by a middle-aged doctor wearing gold-rimmed glasses.
The middle-aged glasses-wearing doctor cast a disdainful glance at Mr. Grady and Kane. "It's laughable that people still believe in traditional Chinese medicine nowadays."
Both Mr. Grady and Kane frowned.
The young man in Western-style attire spoke up, "Auntie, this person is a medical doctor who just returned from the United States. He has excellent achievements in Western medicine, with a 50% chance of curing Callum."
The glasses-wearing doctor nodded self-satisfactorily. "That's right, 50% is just my modest estimation. I have at least a 70% certainty."
Hearing this, Wrenley seemed to have caught a lifeline and hurriedly knelt in front of the glasses-wearing doctor.
"Please save my child. I have money, as long as you can cure my son, I'll give you 150,000 dollars."
Kane was shocked by the fact that this seemingly ordinary woman turned out to be so wealthy.
The glasses-wearing doctor smiled approvingly. "Okay, take him to the intensive care unit, and I'll treat him immediately. In the future, you should trust Western medicine. Traditional Chinese medicine is just superficial."
Once again, the glasses-wearing doctor denigrated traditional Chinese medicine. Mr. Grady's frown deepened.
Although traditional Chinese medicine has declined, the eyeglass-wearing doctor's remarks were still somewhat excessive.
The glasses-wearing doctor approached and looked at the silver needles on the boy. He exclaimed, "Chinese medicine harms people, actually sticking needles into people. If anything goes wrong, who takes responsibility?"
Saying that, the glasses-wearing doctor raised his hand to remove the silver needles from the boy.
Kane immediately stepped forward to stop him. "You can't remove them. These silver needles are suppressing the toxins in his body temporarily. If you pull them out, the toxins will enter the heart within a short time, and it will be troublesome."
This was an instinctive attempt to prevent it, as it involved a life.
The glasses-wearing doctor pushed Kane aside and angrily said,
"What are you? Delaying my rescue efforts. If this child dies later, can you bear the responsibility?"
