chapter 5 Young Medical Saint ===

"I'm in charge here. And listen traditional Chinese medicine is vast and profound. If you don't understand it, don't belittle it," Kane snapped.
He inherited the skills of a ghostly doctor, practically a founding figure in traditional Chinese medicine. When someone belittled it in front of him, he couldn't stand by.
The eyeglass-wearing doctor snorted, "Big talk! Do you think you're in charge just because you know a bit about medicine? If something happens to this kid, are you going to take responsibility?!"
Kane's eyes turned cold, "If you insist on removing the needle, you're risking someone's life!"
"Hmph, I think the one endangering lives here is you. You know nothing, and yet you pretend to. Get out of here!" the eyeglass-wearing doctor coldly retorted.
Seeing this, Mr. Grady shook his head helplessly, "If the family agrees, go ahead and remove it. These silver needles can only suppress the toxins for a few days."
Mr. Grady knew Kane was standing up for traditional Chinese medicine, but unfortunately, he couldn't even cure this kid's poison, not to mention Kane.
"I hope you can cure this kid!" Mr. Grady sighed softly.
"I agree to remove the needle, as long as it can save my child," the child's mother, Wrenley, nodded repeatedly and quickly signed the treatment notice.
Watching the child being taken away, Mr. Grady cleaned the silver needle with alcohol and handed it to Kane.
"If you can tell that I used the silver needle to suppress his toxins, it means you understand acupuncture. You can borrow this set of silver needles."
"Thank you, Mr. Grady."
Kane sincerely thanked him and immediately took the silver needle back to his sister's ward.
Mr. Grady followed closely behind Kane with curiosity in his heart.
Approaching Isabelle, Kane took out two silver needles, his movements practiced as if he had done it thousands of times before.
Mr. Grady narrowed his eyes, "Interesting."
He also knew about Isabelle in the hospital bed, with congestion on the edge of her brain nerves. Whether it was acupuncture or surgery, the risks were extremely high.
Raising his hand, Kane pierced the first silver needle into Isabelle's Shenting acupoint.
Mr. Grady was surprised. The temple was in the head, and with the presence of the skull, one needed to be extremely careful when inserting the needle, or it could easily go off course.
But Kane was fast, accurate in his acupuncture points, and the force was just right."
Is this a young person? Even those medical masters might not have such skilled techniques."
As Kane continued with seven more needles, Mr. Grady was almost dumbfounded.
Each needle was fast and accurate in its acupuncture points, and the force and position of each insertion were as steady as a rock, without the slightest error.
At that moment, Mr. Grady looked at Kane and thought to himself, "A young medical saint!"
As the eighth silver needle fell, dark red blood mixed with some fine powder flowed out from Isabelle's right ear.
Mr. Grady gasped, "Is it done?"
With that in mind, Mr. Grady stepped forward to check Isabelle's pulse. "Stable pulse, normal heart rate," he said in disbelief.
Then he looked at Isabelle's eyes and tongue, and said incredulously, "Forgive my poor eyes, I didn't realize that this young friend is a young medical saint."
"A young medical saint?"
Kane smiled noncommittally, "Mr. Grady, you flatter me."
"I've studied acupuncture for forty years, and today, after seeing your acupuncture, I feel truly ashamed."
Maggie, somewhat surprised, looked at the instruments. Although she couldn't assess the patient's condition through observation and questioning like Mr. Grady, she still understood the instruments.
"No surgery, no medication, and the brain congestion is resolved like this?"
Maggie had only recently graduated from medical school and had never even heard of such a thing.
Mr. Grady smiled somewhat proudly, "Traditional Chinese medicine is vast and profound, Maggie. There's still a lot for you to learn."
At that moment, an extremely angry woman's voice came from outside the ward.
"Vast and profound your ass, Grady, you owe me my son's life!"
