Intensive care unit, Mr. Grady finished checking the pulse of the young boy, his brow furrowed deeply.
"The toxin has reached the heart. I can't do anything."
The glasses-wearing doctor, Dr. Raiden, seemed to seize an opportunity and immediately exclaimed, "I told you, this old guy's reckless needle pricking has killed this child."
Esteban narrowed his eyes, giving Dr. Raiden a cold stare.
"Mr. Grady, is there really no way?"
Mr. Grady sighed, then turned to Kane, "Kane, do you have a way?"
After all, Kane was a young medical genius. If anyone could save the young boy, in Mr. Grady's eyes, it could only be Kane.
"You ask him? Mr. Grady, I think you've really lost it. How could my son's life be entrusted to him?"
Wrenley raised her voice, "He's just a kid. You don't think I don't know. He's not even a real doctor, he doesn't even have a medical license. And he's supposed to treat my son?"
The young man chimed in, "Uncle, how can you believe in traditional Chinese medicine? If we had gone to Dr. Raiden from the beginning, he could have definitely cured Callum."
Kane's eyes grew cold as he looked at the young boy on the hospital bed, "Three minutes."
"What nonsense are you talking about? What three minutes? Are you cursing my son to die? Let me tell you, if my son dies, I won't let you or Grady off the hook."
Wrenley pointed at Kane and scolded him. She was now more convinced that traditional Chinese medicine was a scam.
"In three minutes, your son will truly be beyond saving. Let me administer the needle now, and we can still save him."
With compassion for the innocent child, Kane couldn't just leave, despite Wrenley's bad attitude.
Esteban looked at Mr. Grady, the only person he could still trust to some extent.
"I believe this Kane isn't just spouting nonsense. If he says he can save him, then he definitely can."
Esteban hesitated for a moment, then nodded heavily, "Alright, Kane, I entrust my son to you."
"If you can save my son, I, Esteban, will definitely repay you generously."
Upon hearing this, Wrenley immediately objected, "Esteban, how can you still trust these two swindlers? It's because of them that Callum ended up like this."
"Yes, Uncle, we can't trust them anymore. In my opinion, we should just report them. They've essentially killed Callum, they should be imprisoned, or even executed."
Kane couldn't take it anymore, and angrily said, "It was with your consent that the silver needles were removed, this so-called Western doctor was brought in by you, and it was you who insisted on taking the person away. And now that something has happened, you're blaming us."
"Today, unless the three of you kneel down and beg me. Otherwise, be prepared to collect his corpse!"
Kane was not one to be trifled with, falsely accused, and harassed. He wasn't a pushover.
Esteban narrowed his eyes and stared straight at Kane for five seconds, then finally commanded, "Wrenley, Pedro, and you, all of you, kneel down and beg Kane."
Esteban also doubted Kane, but he knew that at the moment, there was no other choice. He could only believe... in a miracle.
"Esteban, have you gone mad? Do you really believe this brat's words? He doesn't even have a medical license."
"Yeah, why should we kneel down to him?"
Wrenley and Pedro were both very displeased. "Uncle, you..."
"Smack!"
Esteban's slap landed on Pedro's face, "Kneel down!"
Wrenley, Pedro, and Dr. Raiden all trembled. Esteban was a figure who could make the entire capital city shudder.
Even his wife, Wrenley, dared not breathe heavily, and knelt down, unwillingly pleading, "Please, save my son!"
"And both of you." Kane pointed at Pedro and Dr. Raiden.
Pedro and Dr. Raiden were both furious, but in the end, they still knelt down, gritting their teeth, "Sorry, please save Callum."
Only then did Kane nod, and he strode quickly to the bedside.
Between his hands, seven silver needles flew up. A faint gray light appeared in Kane's palms, and at a very fast speed, he pricked each of the seven silver needles onto the boy's acupoints.
Mr. Grady was deeply moved when he saw this, his hands trembling slightly. "Ghost... Ghosty Needle, there's no mistake. This technique is exactly as my master described the Ghosty Needle."
"The inevitability of fate and the inability to escape destiny... I never expected that in my lifetime, I would have the fortune to witness the Ghosty Needle!
Dr. Raiden coldly snorted, "All show and no substance, just a fancy facade. Looks good but not practical."
