Following this, Wrenley rushed in with tears streaming down her face.
"Grady, you're supposed to be an experienced traditional Chinese doctor, but you act like you know it all, randomly inserting needles, and now my son is dead because of you. I want you to pay with your life."
Wrenley charged in, baring her teeth and claws, heading straight for Grady.
Grady was completely puzzled and asked, "What's going on? Wasn't your son taken away by a Western medical doctor?"
"What's going on? Grady, it's because of you, an incompetent doctor, randomly inserting needles into Ms. Wrenley's son, causing toxins to spread throughout his body. He's beyond saving and now just waiting to die," a doctor who was wearing glasses said coldly.
The young man with him was also furious, shouting, "Grady, I'm telling you, you've killed my aunt's son. Get ready to face a lawsuit. Traditional Chinese medicine? Bah! It's just quackery."
Kane furrowed his brow. The scene started to lose control.
The thirteen needles Grady had previously used had suppressed the toxins in the boy's body, which was the best choice given the inability to detoxify him.
"You took the boy away, and now that there's a medical issue, you blame Grady. Do you have no shame?" Kane questioned.
The young man glared at Kane, "Who do you think you are? Is it your turn to speak here? If you don't want a lawsuit, then shut your mouth. I guarantee you won't be able to stay in Anneshay City."
Kane's gaze turned sharp, a sense of solemnity emanating from him, "Are you threatening me?"
The young man stiffened for some reason, seemingly intimidated by Kane's gaze.
"And I can testify that the child encountered problems only after you took him away."
The glasses-wearing doctor's expression became somewhat flustered upon hearing this, and he immediately snapped, "You testify? Do you, a nobody, understand medicine? If you know nothing, then keep quiet."
Just as Kane was about to say something more, a steady middle-aged man walked in from outside.
"Grady, my son still has a chance. Can you see if you can save him, even if it's just to suppress the toxins?" he pleaded.
"Uncle, why are you asking this incompetent old doctor? He's the one who killed Callum."
"Smack!"
The middle-aged man slapped the young man across the face, "You fool, my son isn't dead yet."
"Esteban, why did you hit Pedro? It's this incompetent old doctor who..."
Wrenley began to cry and plead, but before she could finish, she was met with a cold stare from Esteban.
Esteban angrily said, "I asked you to take Callum to see Dr. Grady, but what have you done? I arrived half an hour late, and you almost got my child killed."
"But, but Grady said he couldn't detoxify him. Pedro brought in a Western medical doctor who said there was a fifty percent chance of saving Callum. I... I..."
Esteban snorted coldly, then respectfully bowed to Grady, "Grady, my wife is ignorant. I hope you can help. Once it's done, I'm willing to pay you seven million dollars as a reward."
The glasses-wearing doctor shook his head to the side, "It's no use begging. He's the one who killed your son. Although your son still has a chance, there's no cure for him."
"Smack!"
"Am I talking to you?!" Esteban slapped the glasses-wearing doctor across the face. While others didn't believe in traditional Chinese medicine, Esteban had great faith in it.
Because he had personally witnessed the miraculous effects of Grady's acupuncture.
Grady took a deep breath and said, "A doctor must be compassionate. I'll go take a look."
After saying this, Grady bowed deeply to Kane, "Kane, Mr. Esteban and I have some acquaintance. It seems there's little hope for the child's condition. I wonder if you could come and take a look with me?"
Grady was very polite and earnest in his tone.
Esteban looked at Kane in surprise. He didn't understand why Grady would show such respect to this young man.
Moreover, it seemed this young man's medical skills surpassed Grady's.
How could that be possible?
In the world of traditional Chinese medicine in Anneshay City, Grady was an esteemed figure. How could this young man's medical skills possibly surpass his?
Despite thinking this way, Esteban still politely said, "Then please, Kane, come along. If you have a good idea, I, Esteban, will surely reward you generously."
The glasses-wearing doctor on the side looked on with resentment. He thought, "Hmph, the child's toxins have reached his heart. Even if a deity were to come, it would be useless. You're just waiting to be embarrassed!"
