In the emergency room, Jedrek looked at his daughter, who was unconscious in the operating room, feeling a mix of emotions. No matter what, he had to save his daughter.
After the blood transfusion, the surgery was still not over. Jedrek left the operating room, and at the door, Awenasa was already crying with swollen eyes.
Her face had become even paler. If it weren't for Jedrek, she would have been the one donating blood for her daughter. Jedrek dared not imagine how she would have coped with it.
"Why? Why didn't you tell me about Mirte all these years?"
"Did you think I wasn't worthy of being a father? Then why did you have Mirte?"
"Isn't the Bishop family a prominent family? Why are you and Mirte living in such poverty, with her not even able to wear new clothes?"
Jedrek's heart was filled with too many questions. He didn't know how Awenasa had managed these five years.
"That's right, you're not worthy. You're just a coward."
"You couldn't handle the pressure back then, so you left us. You're not a real man!"
Awenasa shouted, forgetting that they were in a hospital.
"Quiet, the doctor is in surgery!"
As expected, a nurse came out and glared at them.
They looked at each other in silence.
After an anxious half hour, the operating room finally lit up with a green light.
The doctor came out, looking exhausted. He sighed when he saw Jedrek and Awenasa.
"How is my daughter?" Awenasa asked anxiously.
"The patient is temporarily out of danger, but her liver is severely damaged and she needs a liver transplant. Otherwise, she might not make it through the week," the doctor explained gravely.
"Mirte!" Awenasa collapsed to the ground upon hearing this, overcome with emotion.
Jedrek, equally distraught, pounded his fist against the wall with a loud bang.
"You need to quickly raise enough money for the surgery and then proceed with the liver transplant matching. Every second counts," the doctor said before leaving.
Awenasa struggled to her feet and went to see her daughter. Meanwhile, Jedrek quickly took out his phone and made a call.
After a few seconds, the call connected.
"Red Dragon, is it you?" The tone on the other end of the phone was very shocked.
"It's me. I need your help," Jedrek's tone was serious.
"Whatever you command, I will do it without hesitation."
"Immediately gather all the best doctors from the Red Dragon Palace and bring them to the Mid Capital City First Hospital. It's urgent."
The Red Dragon Palace!
That was the organization Jedrek had not been in contact with for a year. Although he had founded it, he had long since retired. Everything about the palace was now managed by others.
But he knew that if he returned, the palace would still respect him as the Shen Wang.
"Understood, the doctors will be there immediately."
While Jedrek was on the phone, Mirte had been transferred to the ward. After hanging up, he hurried over.
In the ward, Awenasa held Mirte's small, delicate hand and sobbed softly. Mirte's face was pale, her breathing weak.
But seeing Jedrek, a smile appeared on Mirte's face, "Daddy."
The sound of Mirte calling Jedrek melted his heart. Touched and heartbroken at the same time, his only thought now was to cure Mirte.
"Mirte, daddy is here! With daddy here, everything will be fine," Jedrek forced a smile to comfort her.
"I have a daddy, I'm very happy. Daddy you must watch the artistic performance." Mirte said, her eyelids drooping, and she fell asleep tiredly.
Awenasa looked at Mirte, then turned to look at Jedrek. She was surprised to see Mirte so close to her father the first time they met. Could this be the bond of blood ties?
"Awenasa, don't worry, I will cure Mirte's illness," Jedrek said firmly.
Awenasa was stunned for a moment, looking at Jedrek in his simple clothes, feeling quite disappointed. The procedure cost over 300,000 dollars, how could he possibly come up with it?
"Alright, you stay here and take care of Mirte. I'll go figure out how to raise the money for the procedure," Awenasa wiped her tears, stood up, and said.
Before leaving, she added, "Cherish the time you spend with Mirte. After she recovers, you have to leave."
Awenasa had already made up her mind. She knew she had to do this for her daughter. Living on, even if separated by life and death, was better than nothing.
Jedrek watched Awenasa's figure leave, mouth agape as if wanting to say something. However, the words stuck in his throat and he couldn't speak them out.
He could easily cover the cost of his daughter's surgery. He could provide Mirte with the best medical conditions and the best doctors. It was just, how could he explain all this to Awenasa?
.......
Ten minutes later, five elegantly dressed individuals entered the hospital, all of them exuding an extraordinary aura. Four men and one woman, they headed straight for the ward where Mirte was staying.
Upon seeing Jedrek, all five of them knelt down together. "Greetings, Red Dragon."
Jedrek was surprised and quickly helped them up. "Get up quickly, it's not good for my daughter to see this."
Fortunately, Mirte was already asleep, and there was no one else in the room.
"Thank you, Red Dragon."
"Hurry, your medical skills are superb, please take a look at my daughter," he urged eagerly.
"Red Dragon, rest assured, we will start the examination now. But we need to take the princess to the examination room," the woman among the five said.
Jedrek nodded, "Get ready!"
In less than three minutes, everything was prepared. Mirte was taken to the hospital's examination room, where the four top doctors began their diagnosis.
Ovid Temple waited anxiously at the door.
"Mirte, you must be strong!"
