Awenasa's expression changed upon hearing the beautiful woman's words. In a cold tone, she stated, "Impossible! Either provide the money now for me to agree to your proposal, or I shall depart!"
With those words, Awenasa had already risen from her seat.
However, as she stood up, the old man nearby uttered chillingly, "Leave now, or you will perish alongside that scoundrel!"
Awenasa was taken aback. If she had a choice, why would she consider accepting the family's arrangement, not out of necessity for money to save her daughter's life?
If she died, she died, but Mirte was still so young...
Observing Awenasa's conflicted expression, the beautiful woman smiled faintly and said, "Awenasa, think carefully. Only the family can provide the funds to save your daughter. Leaving would be akin to causing her demise with your own hands."
Awenasa's body trembled. After a moment, she murmured, "Fine."
...
Upon exiting Mid Capital Nursing Home, Jedrek's gaze was somber. He couldn't comprehend Awenasa's choice.
At that moment, the Viet's communicator rang and was handed to Jedrek.
Taking it, he inquired, "Any updates on the Porter Family?"
Before departing, Jedrek had instructed his men to investigate the Porter Family and Junayd. He believed this was the crucial information.
However, Pryce responded, "Reporting to the Red Dragon, no updates on the Porter Family, but regarding the princess, there is news about her liver."
Jedrek's face lit up with joy as he eagerly asked, "Tell me!"
Jedrek relayed, "From Base No. 9, there is information that the individual is in Mid Capital!"
With a decisive gesture, Jedrek exclaimed, "Excellent!"
...
At Phoenix Harbor Hospital in Mid Capital, Emile, a tall and robust man standing at 1.8 meters, had tears in his eyes. Outside the emergency room, he fretted over his wife and daughter, who had just been hospitalized due to a deliberate car accident.
His eyes reddened, harboring intense anger as he contemplated the intentional nature of the car crash.
Just then, the emergency room door swung open, and a middle-aged doctor emerged. Glancing at Emile, he calmly stated, "We did our best."
With that, he turned and departed.
Emile stood frozen in place.
Suddenly, a group of individuals hurriedly approached from the end of the corridor.
"This is it, quick!"
"Gregg, we must save them!"
"Fear not, Red Dragon, I reviewed the footage on the way, everything is under control!"
The group swiftly entered the emergency room one after another!
"What's happening, who are you!"
"Someone's here, someone's here, oh! Why are you assaulting someone!"
In a state of panic, a cluster of nurses were pushed out.
Emile watched the chaotic scene in disbelief. It was only then that he reacted, reaching out to grab the shoulder of a young man before him and demanding, "Who are you!"
Jedrek remained calm when his shoulder was grabbed. He gently shook it off, turning to assert, "We rescued your daughter and wife, please stay calm."
Emile, incensed by the soldiers instead of doctors rushing in, erupted in anger, throwing a punch at Jedrek's face.
With a swift motion, Jedrek intercepted Emile's fist, swiftly redirecting it, causing Emile to stumble back.
A subtle shove followed.
Emile staggered back several meters, astonished by the strength displayed.
Both skilled in combat, Emile acknowledged Jedrek's superior prowess. He queried, "Who are you?"
Jedrek gestured, "I'm the one who saved your family. Please let us work."
Emile, though silent, trusted Jedrek's assertion.
Observing the renewed activity in the emergency room, Gregg felt a surge of hope.
Recalling the doctor's efforts, Gregg clung to the hope that Jedrek had spoken the truth.
Jedrek, irritated by recent events, had almost lost his temper upon hearing of the accident.
Thankfully, his quick actions led to Gregg's transfer to assist.
"Doctor Boyle, they're here!" A group, led by the doctor who had earlier expressed their efforts, hurried in.
Emile and Jedrek observed without interference, knowing others had already intervened.
Jedrek gestured impatiently, "Remove it."
The three Shadow Thorns swiftly acted, seizing Doctor Boyle without a word, pushing the crowd back, and escorting them away despite their protests and clamor.
Emile's eyes widened at the sight.
Hours passed before the emergency room door finally swung open.
Leading them out, Gregg and the others bowed to Jedrek in unison, "We are honored to fulfill our duty."
Excitedly, Jedrek supported Gregg, "How did it go?"
Gregg replied, "Just talked to them."
Jedrek's face lit up as he turned to Emile, taking a deep breath, "Hello, I'm Jedrek."
Emile, still in the emergency room, responded, "Emile here. How are my wife and daughter?"
"We stabilized them. Emile, I recommend transferring them to Woodland First Hospital for better care and convenience," Gregg advised.
Relieved at the news of his family's safety, Emile's eyes welled up. Determined, he agreed, "You saved them. I trust you."
Jedrek smiled, holding his words.
An hour later, Jedrek returned to Woodland First Hospital by helicopter.
"Here's the situation, Emile. I need a portion of your wife's liver to save my daughter. It won't harm her, I assure you," Jedrek explained.
Emile furrowed and asked, "Will it endanger her health?"
Jedrek vowed, "I swear on my honor, it won't."
After a moment's contemplation, Emile nodded, "You've saved my family. I owe you this."
Upon receiving Emile's consent, Jedrek instructed Gregg to prepare for the surgery.
Jedrek could have gone about it discreetly, but as a king, he was resolute and confident in convincing Emile.
