"Hodge! You!"
Upon seeing the group behind Hodge, Awenasa's eyes froze, and she instinctively wanted to shut the door. Suddenly, a baseball bat jammed the door crack!
Witnessing this, Awenasa turned and fled. Escaping upstairs, she sought refuge in the bedroom, securing the door.
"Damn it, get her!" Hodge bellowed in anger.
A swarm of individuals stormed out of the villa, ascended the stairs, and pounded on the door.
Soon, the bedroom door was forced open, but in a swift move, the burly man who entered first was sprayed in the face with an anti-wolf deterrent!
"Damn you, what the...ah! It stings, it stings!" The man let out a string of curses, then clutched his eyes, howling in pain.
Observing the man's plight, the group hesitated at the threshold, reluctant to advance!
"Enough, get in there! Apprehend her!" Hodge demanded.
Several exchanged glances, gritted their teeth, charged in unison, and eventually secured the target!
Yet, as they barged in, a commotion ensued as a desk lamp was hurled their way.
Two individuals quivered, but the lamp remained unlit!
In a flash, others flooded into the room.
Witnessing this, despair clouded Awenasa's expression as she was swiftly seized and brought before Hodge.
Eyeing Awenasa, Hodge, recalling recent events, refrained from advancing, though his visage remained menacing as he ordered, "Wretched woman, watch what I do to you! Bind her, bind her tightly!"
"Hodge, if you dare lay a hand on me, I vow to annihilate your entire kin!" Awenasa thrashed about, screamed, and simultaneously stomped on the foot of a nearby strong man.
The strong man collapsed, clutching his feet and crying out in pain.
Hodge hesitated to approach, his expression turning fierce. "Quick, tie him up! I'll make you regret this, I'll make you beg for mercy on your knees, I'll make you suffer!"
The other men grinned wickedly, shredding sheets in preparation for action.
Suddenly, a voice broke the tension. "A woman worthy of my king, madam, you have Waqar's respect!"
Hodge and the others were taken aback by the unexpected statement, turning to see a mysterious figure in the room.
Dressed in black with a crow mask, the man's bald head was the only visible feature.
"Are you human or a ghost?" Hodge stammered, stepping back in fear.
As they pondered the intruder's sudden appearance, they realized all exits were secured from within. How had he entered?
A tense silence fell as they cautiously watched the enigmatic figure.
Meanwhile, Awenasa Bishop seized the opportunity, swiftly incapacitating her captors with precise strikes and escaping in a flash.
Amidst the chaos, Waqar marveled at her prowess, acknowledging her as a worthy companion.
Determined to protect the "Red Dragon's woman," he swiftly intervened, allowing Awenasa to flee before anyone could react.
In the commotion that followed, Hodge barely had time to react before a swift blow rendered him unconscious, followed by the same fate for the other strong men at the hands of the mysterious intruder.
As Awenasa stood poised like a cheetah, ready to face Waqar, he raised his hands in a gesture of peace. "I am not your enemy."
After uttering those words, he slowly retreated and vanished into the room.
Awenasa pursed her lips and strolled out of the room, only to find the man in black had already vanished without a trace.
Gazing down at the individuals on the floor, she delivered a forceful kick to Hodge's groin.
"Ouch!"
Hodge awoke from the agony, only to faint once more in the next moment.
Upon descending the stairs, Awenasa turned and departed.
Unconcerned about the identity of the other party, she knew she had to depart, secure the funds, and rescue her daughter!
...
"What did you say? An attack? By Hodge?"
Inside the military vehicle, Jedrek listened to his men's report with a grim expression.
The reality that Awenasa's liver could save her daughter weighed heavily on him. If a compatible liver wasn't found within two days, Awenasa would be the only option, hence the shadowy protectors tailing her.
Now, hearing about an attack on her, Jedrek's expression darkened.
However, recalling Waqar's recent report, Jedrek's mood shifted once more.
With his sharp mind, analyzing the scene described by Waqar, he realized he had misjudged Awenasa.
The fact that Hodge had entered the villa that night and not emerged raised suspicions. Reflecting on it, Jedrek concluded that Awenasa must have incapacitated him or manipulated him through coercion.
Recalling Awenasa's words at the coffee shop, Jedrek grew certain that she was in trouble.
Dialing Awenasa's number on his phone, Jedrek quickly connected and said, "Awenasa, where are you? I..."
"Awenasa?" Jedrek's bewildered voice came through, clearly surprised by Jedrek's call.
Jedrek continued, "Awenasa, there's been a misunderstanding, I..."
"Awenasa, I didn't freeze the bank card, and..." At this point, Awenasa suddenly paused, and then asked with a trembling tone, "Jedrek, it was you who sent Mirte to Wood..."
Jedrek was stunned, looked down at his phone, frowned, and hung up. The phone was hung up!
He called again, but no one answered. He called again, still the same.
Jedrek looked ugly, turned on the communicator, and asked, "What's going on with Awenasa?"
Amidst the whistling wind, Waqar replied: "I don't know yet. Madam is driving to a certain place and has already left the city of Mid Capital."
Jedrek thought for a while and reported the location.
Waqar reported the location, and Jedrek said directly, "Turn around and go to the southern suburbs of Mid Capital."
The high-speed off-road vehicle drifted violently, changed direction on the spot, and headed towards Mid Capital, which it had just left.
At the same time, Awenasa also looked at her phone. It was out of battery. She smiled bitterly and kept her phone in the passenger seat. She exerted force on her feet and the speed of the car increased again.
Time flew by, and half an hour later, Awenasa arrived outside Mid Capital Nursing Home.
When the guard saw Awenasa, he immediately bent down and said, "Ms. Bishop."
Then remove the crossbar.
Awenasa drove in. Along the way, she saw the older generation of the Bishop Family and many dignitaries in Mid Capital.
There was no obstruction all the way, and Awenasa arrived at the lawn. She didn't even stop and drove straight up.
The old man was still playing chess with himself, and the woman next to him did not leave. There was even a middle-aged man. He and the woman sat quietly watching the old man play chess, and no one said anything.
Hearing the sound of the car, the two of them looked up, and then their pupils shrank. The middle-aged man stood up suddenly and looked at Awenasa who turned off the car and got out of the car with an ugly face.
The middle-aged man's face was gloomy and he cursed, "How dare you drive your car onto this grassland, you uneducated guy!"
As he said that, he reached out his hand and swiped it directly toward Awenasa's face...
