Faithe was stunned. Can you believe there are still people who don't use phones in this day and age?
She furrowed her brow and said, "So, how am I supposed to contact you then?"
Rachit thought for a moment and replied, "When you have a rash, just come to the neighboring Moonlight Bay to find me!"
"Moonlight Bay?" Moonlight Bay was quite a famous luxury community in Zintech City, so it wasn't surprising that Faithe knew about it.
"Alright... You can come to Villa No.7 to find me when the time comes, I'm usually there."
"Villa No.7?" Faithe stared at Rachit, her eyebrows arching.
"It seems like you know about this community?" Rachit asked.
"What did you say your name was?" Faithe asked back, then she slapped her forehead in realization, exclaiming, "Oh, right, you said your name is Rachit, and Diana's husband is also named Rachit, right? And as far as I know, Villa No.7 belongs to the Cyrus family. Are you Diana's husband?"
"Congratulations, you got it right, but no prize for you," Rachit replied.
"Heh... I never expected you to be the son-in-law that Diana picked up."
"How did you know my wife picked me up?" Rachit asked curiously.
"Heh... In Zintech City, not only do I know, I think everyone knows about the words Diana said to Zeph at the engagement party he threw for her, right?"
"What words?"
"Whether rented or picked up, what does it have to do with you?" Faithe smiled, charming and captivating. Then, she seemed to realize something, looking at Rachit in astonishment, and asked, "From what you just said, are you the one Diana picked up?"
“That’s true," Rachit shrugged.
"Wow... Originally, everyone thought Diana was just saying that casually, but it turns out it's true. You were picked up by her?" Faithe exclaimed.
"Yes!"
"Hmm... Isn't there a rumor that you're mute?" Faithe asked in confusion.
"The rumor is not wrong. Until today of this past year, I couldn't speak," Rachit explained.
"Who cured your muteness?" Faithe asked curiously.
"I did it myself."
"If you could cure your muteness, and you're not a doctor, then what did you use the silver needle for?" Faithe inquired.
"To kill people!" Rachit said nonchalantly.
"Wow, you sure like to brag," Faithe rolled her eyes.
Faithe rolled her eyes, not flirting, but Rachit couldn't help but feel a hint of seductive charm in them.
A woman with both the Nine Spirit Body and the Cold Bloodline was truly a natural enchantress. Even an unintentional gesture could evoke an instinctive impulse in people.
"Oh, I have a question I'm curious about," Faithe suddenly said.
"What question?"
"I heard that it's been a year, and you still haven't climbed into your wife's bed?" Faithe blinked and remarked.
"What's it to you?" Rachit replied irritably.
"Tsk tsk... With no nourishment from the wife, you sure have a lot of fire," Faithe observed Rachit's expression, laughing like a blooming, enchanting rose.
At that moment, Rachit suddenly reached out and pulled Faithe into his arms.
"You... Are you going to make a move on me just because you can't get your wife's attention? We've only known each other for a short while, isn't this a bit too fast?"
This enchantress!
Rachit rolled his eyes in silence, not responding to Faithe. Instead, he held her and bounced her up, then kicked a tree trunk by the roadside, using the momentum to turn around and sweep his leg backward.
"Bang... Ah..."
A cry rang out as a figure flew backward, falling several meters away.
Looking at the cold light flying out with the figure, Faithe's face changed. She knew that Rachit was holding her not to flirt with her, but because there was an assassin attacking.
Seeing Rachit let go of Faithe and walk towards him, the assassin got up and ran. Obviously, from the last blow, he knew he was no match for this guy. If he didn't run now, when would he?
"Brother, since you're here, why run? Stay and have a supper together!"
Hearing this sudden voice, the assassin hesitated and turned his head to see Rachit, who was several meters away, had already caught up with him, running shoulder to shoulder.
The assassin gritted his teeth and increased his speed.
However, no matter how fast he ran, Rachit was always right beside him.
The assassin was shocked. He was the king of speed in the night, yet he couldn't shake off this guy. How is that possible?
"I'm done running!" The assassin, feeling defeated, stopped in his tracks.
"Keep running, night runs are good for your health,” Rachit said with a smile.
What's the point of running?
The assassin rolled his eyes. If he was the king of speed, then the guy in front of him was the god of speed.
As powerful as a king may be, how could he compare to a god?
He realized that if he continued running, even if he ran to death, this guy in front of him probably wouldn't even break a sweat.
"Tell me, who sent you to assassinate Faithe?"
"No one sent me, I came on my own." The assassin shook his head.
"Do you think I'll believe that?" Rachit asked calmly.
"Someone posted a task to assassinate Faithe on the dark web, and I just took on that task. So, I don't know who wants Faithe dead."
Rachit was familiar with the dark web that the assassin mentioned. It was a website specifically for assassination tasks, where buyers and assassins never met in person.
The process of dark web transactions involved buyers sending money to the dark web, and after the task was completed, the dark web would pay the assassin, taking a certain percentage as a fee.
"Now that you've fallen into my hands, you should know what kind of outcome to expect, right?" Rachit squinted.
"I know. From the day I became an assassin, I've been prepared for death." The assassin shrugged, speaking frankly.
"To be honest, I admire your attitude."
"What's the use of admiring?" The assassin shook his head, looking at Rachit. "I can tell you're not a kind person, so you definitely won't let me go, right?"
"Maybe I will let you go?"
"Is that possible?" The assassin looked at Rachit in surprise, unable to understand his intentions.
"In this world, anything is possible."
"What do you need me to do?" The assassin asked in a deep voice. He knew that there was no such thing as a free lunch in this world, and if this guy in front of him wanted to let him go, there must be a purpose.
"Be Faithe's bodyguard," Rachit said calmly.
