chapter 13 Isn't this making trouble?

Facing the accusations from the crowd, Diana felt powerless, wanting to argue back but having no way to do so.
The accusations from some were not baseless. The current crisis faced by the Cyrus Group was indeed tied to her unreliable mother.
If her mother hadn't squandered billions in a year and secretly sought out Zeph, would all these events have unfolded?
Ultimately, Eartha was to blame. Yet, even so, what options did Diana have?
Despite Eartha's faults, she was still her mother. While others could criticize, Diana found herself unable to.
Leaning back in her chair, Diana closed her eyes. Should she heed the advice of these individuals and relinquish control of the Cyrus Group?
But even if she did, would Zeph allow her to walk away unscathed?
Diana harbored deep disgust for the so-called Mr. Berry in Zintech City. She vowed never to be at his mercy, even in death.
She abruptly opened her eyes and clenched her fist. She turned to Masood, inquiring, "Uncle Masood if I were to offer you 50,000,000 dollars, how long could you hold out?"
After a moment of contemplation, Masood grimly smiled and responded, "At best, an hour."
An old-timer from Diana's father's era, Masood held a strong allegiance to the Cyrus Group. This loyalty prompted his earlier criticism of the others.
Despite his rebuke, Masood understood that even with 10 billion dollars, the Cyrus Group stood little chance against the Berry family.
"How much would we need at a minimum to withstand the Berry family's assault?" Diana queried.
"Based on the information I possess, the Berry family has mobilized a minimum of 10 billion dollars this time. To resist, we would require no less than 5 billion dollars in funds."
"Heh..." Masood chuckled, his voice grave, "5 billion dollars? Even if Mr. Cyrus were alive, it would be near impossible to amass such a sum in a day, correct?"
"Even if banks were willing to extend credit, we might secure at most 10,000,000 or 20,000,000 dollars."
"Hmph... contemplating a stand against the Berry family is akin to hitting a rock with an egg."
Masood glanced at Diana and slowly articulated, “Ms. Cyrus, you are left with only two options. Either liquidate the shares immediately, provide severance to all, and part ways amicably, or annul the marriage to your son-in-law and wed Zeph. Perhaps this is the sole path to safeguard the Cyrus Group your father toiled to establish."
Before Masood could finish, Rachit burst into the meeting room, seething with anger, pointing at Masood and cursing, "You scoundrel, you dare suggest my wife divorce me? You're begging for trouble!"
"Smack!"
Rachit grew increasingly agitated as he cursed, delivering a resounding slap to Masood's face.
The sharp sound shocked everyone. Wasn't this usually timid son-in-law of Diana's always submissive?
Hmm... Wasn't he typically quiet in the face of others' ridicule? Why is he so assertive today?
Even Diana looked at Rachit with some surprise. He seemed different ever since he could speak.
"You dare to hit me, you fool of a son-in-law?" Masood glared at Rachit, holding his face.
"I did hit you," Rachit glared back at Masood. This jerk wanted his wife to divorce him. Enough was enough.
"A dimwit like you dares to hit me, let's fight." Masood infuriated, rolled up his sleeves and lunged at Rachit with his fists.
"Bang!"
Before his fist could reach Rachit, he was kicked by Rachit, sending him flying quite a distance.
"Damn, is this son-in-law from the Cyrus family really this strong?"
"Not strong at all. He just took advantage when Mr. Masood wasn't paying attention with a sneaky move. With his small stature, even though Mr. Masood appears to be a weak scholar, he should be able to handle him."
"Exactly, just a dimwit son-in-law, how tough can he be?"
"Oh... hold on, this dimwit seems to be speaking now!"
"So what if he can talk? He's still an idiot."
"Trash!" Rachit glanced at Masood lying in the corner, sneered, then coldly looked at the group of people and slowly said, "Who made my wife give up the Cyrus Group just now?"
"I did."
"Me too."
As soon as Rachit spoke, more than ten people stood up. Despite Rachit beating up Masood upon arrival, they weren't afraid by relying on their numbers.
"Great! You guys can leave now," Rachit waved his hand and said coldly.
"Leave? Who do you think you are? Just because you tell us to leave, we have to go?"
"Yeah, just a fool of a son-in-law, still daring to boss us around here, really doesn't know his place."
"If you don't give me a severance package, I won't leave, hmm... in a couple of days, after the Cyrus Group goes down, I'll take the office supplies back home as my severance pay."
"Hehe... if you guys are willing to taste my fist, then I won't hold back." Rachit smiled with narrowed eyes.
After finishing speaking, Rachit slowly walked towards one of the guys.
"Rachit!" Diana called out to him.
"Darling, what's up?" Rachit stopped in his tracks and turned to look at Diana's stunning face, which was truly comforting to behold!
"Don't hit them!" Diana frowned. Although these people had also angered her, she didn't want her company to turn into a battleground. If they all started fighting, it wouldn't look good.
"Alright, Darling, since you don't want me to beat these bastards, then I won't," Rachit said with a smile.
Diana glanced at Rachit. Was he being this obedient?
In her memory, hadn't Rachit never listened to her?
But then again, how many conversations had they had in this past year? After all, communicating with Rachit, being mute, was very difficult.
The only thing she had asked Rachit to do was not to go to the park to meditate, as hearing the son-in-law's insults every day had brought shame to her face.
But this guy, Rachit, didn't listen to her and went to the park to meditate every day.
"I told you to wait for me in my office, didn't I? Why did you come here?" Diana asked angrily.
She was already annoyed enough, and this guy was just adding fuel to the fire. Wasn't this just causing trouble?
"I came to tell you that you don't need to worry about the company. The Berry family won't cause any trouble, and the Cyrus family won't perish. I'll help you," Rachit shrugged.
"Damn, just a picked-up son-in-law and he dares to boast that the Berry family won't cause trouble. Who does he think he is?"
