chapter 16 vomit

"Of course, it was awesome," Liora nodded.
From being scared by others before to now scaring them herself, truly every dog has its day.
"Boss, you better change your clothes. The police will probably arrive soon!" Ravager pointed at the three unconscious people on the ground. "I'll stay here and keep an eye on them in case any of them wake up and try to escape."
"Got it!" Liora nodded, enduring the foul odor in the hallway as she headed toward the meeting room.
After changing into her sports attire, Liora had just come out of the meeting room when her phone rang. It turned out to be the police. Security had contacted the executives asking about the situation, but since the executives didn't know, they asked Liora.
After informing them to let the police in, Liora hung up the phone.
Alita Meyer, the captain of the Kingsbury Police Substation, received a call in the middle of the night reporting that there were intruders at the Golden Age Group.
The Golden Age Group was a top conglomerate in Kingsbury City, so the police took it seriously. That's why she was sent over personally and six officers were dispatched to accompany her.
After being allowed through by the security guards, the group took the elevator to the top floor.
As soon as the elevator doors opened, a strong stench hit them.
Alita frowned. It was foul.
Some of her colleagues, with less patience, even let out a few dry heaves before getting used to the smell in the air.
"Hey, are you the ones who called?" From a distance, Alita saw a figure and asked.
"Yes!" Ravager, seeing the police, replied and walked towards them.
Ravager had turned off all the lights in the corridor with the main switch earlier. There was only dim moonlight. Alita noticed there was a lot of paper money on the ground.
"What's this about?" Although puzzled, Alita resisted her curiosity and didn't ask.
When Ravager walked up to her, Alita was about to speak, but suddenly shivered all over, retreating in fear.
In the moonlight, Ravager, dressed in a shroud, was smiling and greeting her.
Seeing this scene late at night, anyone would be startled.
As a woman, Alita didn't scream, proving her inner strength.
"Madam!" Ravager thought Alita was unsteady and about to fall back, so he reached out to grab her.
Thinking Ravager was going to harm her, Alita grabbed Ravager's right hand with both of hers and twisted it sharply.
Normally, with a twist like that, Ravager would bend and lose the ability to resist, which was a rapid counterattack technique.
However, no matter how much she twisted, Ravager didn't react at all because, to him, Alita's strength was negligible.
This was the first time Alita had missed. In the past, when she twisted the arms of thieves, ruffians, and scoundrels, they would all scream in agony from her twist.
"Beautiful lady, is it necessary to start like this?" Confused, Ravager asked.
Without any extra words, Alita delivered a knee strike directly to Ravager's crotch.
"Ruthless woman!" Feeling the target of the beauty's attack, Ravager gasped and instinctively reached down.
Alita's knee was directly caught by Ravager's large hand.
The two of them maintained this posture without moving.
But since Alita was standing on one leg, it was inevitable that she would become unstable over time.
Plus, Alita was a woman, so it felt a bit inappropriate to be grabbed by a stranger like this.
"Let go already?" Alita reprimanded.
Ravager released her leg but warned, "Then you better not lay another hand on me!"
Just as the two were arguing, the lights in the hallway were turned on, presumably by the security guards who had followed up.
When the lights came on, not only did Alita step back, but her six colleagues behind her also retreated.
Everyone looked at Ravager with vigilance.
The scene in the hallway was truly alarming.
A young man in a shroud, surrounded by numerous white papers. Two people lay on the ground, and at the end of the hallway, there was a large wreath with the glaring words "RIP" in black.
No one knew what had happened here.
In her seven years on the force, this was the first time Alita had encountered such a situation.
"Officers, you're finally here!" After tidying up the office, Liora saw the lights in the hallway on and came out. Upon seeing Ravager confronting someone, she hurried over.
"Who are you?" Alita's expression improved slightly upon seeing a normally dressed person.
"I'm Liora, the CEO of the Golden Age Group!" Liora introduced herself and pointed to the two people lying on the ground. "There's another person inside the office. These three are suspected of stealing confidential information from the group and were subdued by my bodyguard!"
"Bodyguard?" Alita glanced around and finally focused on Ravager. Despite his strange attire, he seemed quite skilled.
"Alright!"
"Take these three back to the station!" Alita commanded her six colleagues behind her.
"In addition, Miss Curry, we'll need you to come back to the station with us to assist in the investigation and make a statement!"
"No problem!" Liora nodded.
As Liora and Alita walked and talked, they briefly explained the events of the night.
Ravager followed behind the two women. Unbeknownst to them, the three of them took the elevator down until they reached the front door of the Golden Age Group before stopping.
It shouldn't have taken long to escort three unconscious criminals, but the six colleagues were taking their time, making Alita wonder what they were doing.
At this moment, someone finally emerged from the elevator, and the sound of dry heaving could be heard from afar.
"Ugh!"
"Ugh!"
"Ugh!"
One after another, they dry heaved.
Ravager suppressed his amusement, trying not to laugh out loud.
But imagining the enclosed space of the elevator with Rocky's odor, it was easy to imagine how unbearable it must have been.
That was practically a weapon of mass destruction.
"Madam Meyer, I have a question!" When the six people escorted the three individuals over, one of the officers spoke up.
"Three individuals, one has urinated and defecated, another is covered in feces, and the third appears to be mentally incapacitated due to fear. I'd like to know what exactly happened?"
After the officer asked, he couldn't help but dry heave a couple more times.
There was no way around it; the smell was just too foul.
Suddenly, Alita's gaze shifted to Ravager in his shroud.
Ravager spread his hands innocently, his face full of innocence. "One was so scared they wet themselves, one was already a bit dim-witted, and one went so far as to smear feces on themselves. Can you blame me?"
"Is that so?" Initially skeptical, Alita nodded thoughtfully after seeing him in his shroud and the paper money wreaths in the hallway.
"Rocky!"
"Miasma!"
"Fenris!"
"It's you three!"
At that moment, Liora finally noticed the faces of the three individuals. Upon recognizing them, she was taken aback.
Especially Rocky—Liora had trusted him so much, and reality had hit her hard.
