chapter 2 Dirty woman!

The process of getting a marriage certificate was simpler than when Titus joined the army. The only errors was the staff looking at Leila's stiff deadpan face and very tactfully reminding her, "This is for marriage registration, divorce is next door."
After the registration, Titus, sitting in the luxury car, struggled for a while before handing over a green Agricultural Bank card to Leila, "There's 5,000 dollars here. Buy whatever you like, consider it a dowry. Rest assured, even though ours is a marriage of convenience, I will not treat you unfairly."
Leila didn't accept it, driving the car without looking sideways, "Keep your demobilization pay for your second marriage."
Titus raised an eyebrow, feeling that this woman was quite understanding, so he temporarily set aside his pride and didn't argue back.
"Where are we going?" Titus asked, looking out at the dazzling night scene outside the window, putting away the bank card.
"To my place," Leila said indifferently.
Just a few days ago, Sophia Hodges had prepared a luxurious wedding house for the newlyweds.
"What do you mean?" Titus's face suddenly darkened upon hearing this, "You want me to be a matrilocal son-in-law?"
Leila tacitly agreed.
"Every one of us from the Northern Savage Army is made of iron and steel!" Titus said emotionally. "For me to live off a woman is to insult the three hundred thousand Northern Savage Army!"
"Oh," Leila responded indifferently.
"My family, for eight generations, has been waiting for me to make a mark on our family tree. You want me to marry into your family? Drive to the civil affairs bureau right now, let's get this marriage annulled!" Titus insisted.
Leila frowned, annoyance flashing in her beautiful eyes, "Not going to my place, so you want to stay in that budget hotel you're living in?"
Now that they were married, were they supposed to spend their wedding night in a budget hotel?
Raised in luxury, Leila couldn't accept it. She was picky about beds.
"The reason I stay in hotels is that I'm used to being rootless and drifting," Titus said with a deep look. "Now that we're starting a family, of course, I'll provide you with a warm haven."
Leila felt nauseated hearing this, unable to utter a single word that wasn't nauseating from this man.
"Happy Village Road, number 108," Titus gave the address, proudly saying, "I got my first property at eighteen, which is also considered a head start in life."
Leila felt even worse after hearing this.
Happy Village Road, as a main demolition area in the old district of Blackhills, was almost completely demolished.
Her first wedding night was to be spent in a dilapidated building?
Leila's mental defenses almost collapsed several times.
The luxury car drove through ruins towards a shaky six-story building, with many bulldozers working day and night nearby, making a thunderous noise.
"This is your head start in life, the first property?" Leila glanced at Titus.
Seeing Titus embarrassed was her only way to vent at the moment.
Titus looked around, sighing, "Ten years not coming back, things have changed."
Leila snorted, not continuing to poke at his sore spot, bluntly saying, "Are you sure we're staying here tonight?"
In such a dilapidated building, there might not even be water or electricity, and the constant loud noise from the nearby construction site was headache-inducing.
Not to mention sleeping, staying a bit longer could cause neurasthenia.
"Of course," Titus said calmly. "And I have some good news for you."
"Hmm?" Leila's eyebrows furrowed.
Tonight was the darkest moment of her life.
She was curious about what good news she could possibly have.
"When you're still complaining about marrying a useless cook, this cook has already become a demolition household," Titus said, opening the car window and lighting a cigarette with a determined look. "Let me be clear with you, if this house doesn't compensate me with one or two million, I'll rot here."
Screech!
The Porsche braked sharply, stopping in front of the dilapidated building.
Leila wanted to tell Titus that the company behind the demolition project of this area was the Jorkeyn Group, which she led.
With just one phone call, not to mention one or two million, even a billion could be compensated.
But seeing Titus's shameless rogue appearance, the only thing Leila wanted to do was to let him embarrass himself.
"Let's go, I'll show you our wedding room." Titus got out of the car and headed towards the narrow staircase entrance as if he knew the way by heart.
Upon reaching the floor, Titus opened the door to the cramped living room, which was visible at a glance.
The outdated decoration, old-fashioned furniture, and a one-bedroom apartment of less than fifty square meters had carried Titus's memories for over a decade.
To be fair, this house was even smaller than Leila's study.
"Make yourself at home, take a seat anywhere." Titus entered the room first, adopting the posture of a host.
Leila cautiously followed into the room, not to mention sitting, she was even afraid to step on something dirty with each step she took.
Is this really a place for people to live? Leila felt desperate.
Seeing Leila standing in the living room, not knowing what to do, the dim light shone on her fair, jade-like face, then slid down to her ample chest, and the beautifully curved hips...
Titus let out a breath of air, making way for her, "There's hot water in the bathroom, you go take a shower first, I'll make the bed."
Leila nearly had a heart attack, even the bed had to be made now?
Arriving at the bathroom, Leila felt even more dismayed.
The space was so narrow that it was difficult to turn around, and although the floor had been cleaned, there were still indelible stains everywhere.
After calming down in the bathroom for a few minutes, Leila walked to the master bedroom with an expressionless face.
"Finished showering so soon?" Titus had already made the bed and was preparing the floor bedding.
He had said before that they could share a room but not the same bed.
Turning around, he saw Leila standing neatly dressed at the door, which didn't look like she had taken a shower at all, probably not even washing her hands!
"You don't take a shower before sleeping?" Titus muttered, somewhat disgusted by this dirty woman. "Can you pay a little attention to personal hygiene?"
"You also know that taking a bath is for hygiene?" Leila said coldly. "Is that bathroom of yours clean?"
"How is it not clean?" Titus arranged the floor bedding, dissatisfied. "I cleaned it up a few days ago, it's spotless. If you don't believe me, go touch it. If you can find any dust, I'll lick it up for you!"
"It's seeped into the walls, indeed I can't touch it." Leila slightly opened her red lips, too lazy to argue. Glancing at the brand-new bedding on the bed, and the neat but obviously simple floor bedding, her resentment eased slightly.
At least, this guy kept his word and didn't plan to cross the line.
Titus curled his lips, annoyed, "Lazy is lazy, what's with all the excuses."
After a pause, Titus patted the floor bedding, saying, "Try the softness, if it's not okay, I'll add another blanket for you."
"Let me try?"
Leila was speechless.
"What else?" Titus said as a matter of course. "I suffered a serious injury to my waist when I was in the military, the army doctor told me I must sleep on a soft bed to protect my waist. For someone like you, who sits in the office all day, sleeping on a hard bed is good for the waist."
Leila was completely dumbfounded.
She had never seen such a shameless weirdo like Titus before.
The most fatal part was, she had just registered their marriage with him!
Seeing Leila standing there without a word, Titus yawned, "I'm sleepy, let's wash up and sleep."
After saying that, he took a red basin filled with toothpaste and towels into the bathroom, too lazy to deal with this lady full of problems.
It was you who desperately insisted on not marrying anyone but me, and now I have to warmly chase after your cold treatment? Dream on!
After taking a comfortable hot shower, Titus came out wearing comfortable and neat pajamas, planning to curl up on the sofa for a cigarette before bed, when the door was knocked on with a steady and aggressive knock.
Titus raised an eyebrow, having just returned to Blackhills, who would come knocking in the middle of the night?
Opening the door weakly, Titus scanned the man standing outside.
Very handsome and stylish, with sharp eyebrows and starry eyes, thin lips devoid of emotion. Dressed in a sharply tailored suit, his whole cold demeanor was accentuated, creating an oppressive atmosphere.
He stood at the door like a tower, suffocating.
"Are you Titus?" The man's gaze was piercing as he stared at Titus.
"I am." Titus nodded slightly.
He didn't recognize this man.
"Is Leila staying here tonight?" The man questioned.
As expected, it was for Leila.
A protector of the flower?
An ex-boyfriend still harboring feelings?
Titus smiled harmlessly, "Yes, she just took a shower and lay down."
"If you dare touch her." The man emitted a fierce aura. "You will die tonight!"
