chapter 13 Submerge him into the sea!

Leila was dumbfounded.
How does this idiot's brain work? Truly lacks virtue!
She went through the vacancies in the group in her mind, as there had been several accidents recently, and there was a significant demand for security personnel.
But the thought of Titus being a security guard was immediately dismissed by Leila as a foolish idea.
Have him stand guard and be responsible for security?
She might end up being dismembered by thugs in the company while he's still scrolling through short videos.
Glancing at Titus, Leila suddenly came up with a plan.
"The group's catering department lacks a head chef, and that seems to match your expertise," Leila said with narrowed eyes. "Go report there today."
Want to slack off? Then let's have you slack off in the kitchen!
However, Titus was not resistant, instead, he said leisurely, "Fine, I'll reluctantly guide your catering department. By the way, keep the back door open for me."
"What back door are you talking about?" Leila frowned.
"Just now, the old lady told me you've been having accidents lately, worried someone might be scheming behind the scenes. Keep the back door open for me, so I can help you investigate," Titus shrugged.
"You, a cook, can even investigate this?" Leila looked disdainful, secretly thinking the old lady was being nosy.
"What else?" Titus sneered. "Do you think I spent ten years in the Northern Savage Army for nothing? Not to mention, Jorge often came to me for advice on military strategies and even praised me as the strategic genius of the Northern Savage Army."
Leila didn't want to argue with this braggart and reluctantly agreed to give him a backdoor, then drove straight to the underground parking lot.
But before the car could fully stop, a dozen imposing luxury cars entered the Jorkeyn Group's parking lot. With the sound of doors slamming, dozens of tall and sturdy suited bodyguards stepped out of the luxury cars, surrounding a distinguished young man as they approached the two.
"Is that sissy here for you?" Titus asked with narrowed eyes.
Leila frowned, ignoring him, about to open the door to get out, when Titus confidently said, "The accidents that happened to you, I suspect he's the mastermind behind them."
"Hmm?" Leila asked curiously. "Why?"
"Based on temperament, on fashion sense, he barely qualifies to be my rival in love," Titus said gravely. "I have to discredit him."
Leila's legs went soft, almost falling out of the car.
"Ms. Hodges, I was just about to go upstairs to find you, what a coincidence," the young gentleman strolled over, graceful. His entourage wisely stopped at a distance.
"Is there something?" Leila's attitude was indifferent, barely giving him a glance.
Sonny smiled like a gentleman, not minding Leila's coldness.
In Blackhills, there weren't many men who had the privilege to be in her presence, and even fewer could engage her in conversation.
If it weren't for the Simpson family and the Hodges family being old friends, with their companies having frequent interactions, Sonny wouldn't have had the chance to deal with this queen of scorpions.
But as Sonny was about to surprise Blackhills' number one beauty, with a click, a man stepped down from the passenger seat.
A man whose talents, appearance, temperament, and fashion sense were not as good as Sonny's!
This guy actually took the passenger seat Sonny had been longing for!
Instantly, a fierce look flashed in Sonny's eyes, but it was quickly concealed.
"Ms. Hodges, who is this?" Sonny asked politely.
"Titus, the current senior head chef of the Jorkeyn Group's catering department," Titus stepped forward, posing.
With those words, he casually resolved the situation for Leila.
Sonny, filled with hostility, relaxed a bit. Although he was still curious how a chef had the qualifications to get into Leila's car, the higher education he received from a young age prompted him to extend a hand of friendship. Just as he managed to squeeze out a smile and was about to make polite conversation, Titus, who had walked up to them, spoke again.
"At the same time, I am also Leila's first love." Titus said without any reservation.
Upon hearing this, the temperature seemed to drop sharply.
Caught off guard, Leila's face turned icy. Had there been love? Was there affection? Saying it was her first marriage would have been fine, but why play dirty tricks?
After hearing Titus's self-introduction, Sonny was almost unable to hold back.
How did it turn into being first loves? Wasn't she known as a cold-hearted femme fatale? Weren't you said to despise men? So, you were just deceiving me alone?
Sonny's face flickered with confusion and disbelief. Seeing Leila, always known for her impartiality, offering no explanation, his heart cooled by half.
But soon, Sonny caught the key information.
First love? That must have been a long time ago. At least since Leila took over the Jorkeyn Group, no man had ever appeared by her side.
"So, it was through this relationship that you entered Jorkeyn, huh?" Sonny regained his gentlemanly smile, offering a friendly reminder. "Then you better work hard. Leila is famous for her clear reward and punishment system, she doesn't indulge anyone's faults."
"It's my fault that Leila has become what she is now," Titus sighed.
Sonny, completely baffled, wondered how it was his fault, while Leila looked like she wanted to escape. But, in the end, she was too slow.
"All the gentleness and affection over those years were given to me by Leila. Maybe she got tired, and gradually learned to disguise herself," Titus said with deep emotion, looking towards Leila, who seemed as disgusted as if she had swallowed a fly. "I never thought that our farewell kiss on that rainy night would hurt her so deeply."
Leila, as if her soul had been lost, ran away, leaving behind a lonely silhouette that resembled a woman abandoned after a tumultuous relationship.
Seeing Leila leave, Sonny stopped pretending and gave Titus a cold stare, "You're really disgusting!"
Titus grinned, suddenly exuding a wicked aura, and whispered while clutching Sonny's shoulder, "Kid, let me be straightforward. I came to Jorkeyn to rekindle things with Leila and take a share of her inheritance. If you dare to mess with my plans, I'll kill you."
After saying that, he followed Leila into the elevator.
Left behind, Sonny stood stunned for a long time before coming back to his senses.
Damn, how did this kid steal my line? Isn't this hooliganism?
Sonny's face darkened as he motioned with his hand, and two bodyguards approached.
"Check his background. If he's nobody, dump him in the sea," Sonny ordered coldly.
"What if he has a background?" asked a steady bodyguard.
"Dump him anyway!" Sonny slapped him back, cursing. "Isn't it obvious I'm furious? Are you blind?"
Sonny, furious, took another elevator upstairs.
He had two important matters to discuss with Leila today. One was the sudden complete halt of the demolition work in Happy Village Road. As a partner, the loss was too great, and there needed to be an explanation.
The other matter was that he had in his pocket the hottest tickets in Blackhills recently—two passes to a memorial service.
Now, a ticket to the memorial service was being scalped for tens of millions on the market, and they were hard to come by.
Sonny had heard that Leila had been kidnapped years ago and was rescued by the legendary warrior Jorge. If he gave her a ticket to see her savior for the last time, wouldn't she be moved?
Moreover, Sonny had not been shy about asking Leila out over the years but was always met with cold rejection.
This time, leveraging Jorge's ashes, he might be able to make his move at the memorial service and successfully hold the goddess's hand.
