chapter 3 Don't move your hands or feet!

Titus was momentarily angry, but he quickly calmed down.
From the day he decided to retire, he had silently warned himself, "Titus, when you lose the aura of being Jorge, you will no longer be the god of war of the Northern Savage Army admired by all, you will lose three hundred thousand fervent followers of the Northern Savage Army, you need to keep a low profile."
Leaning against the door, Titus lit a cigarette with an air of nonchalance, not waiting for the man to speak again, he turned his head towards the master bedroom and shouted, "Leila, come out for a moment!"
Leila?
Feeling utterly out of place, Leila only felt a numbness in her feet, a strong physiological discomfort that made her shiver all over.
She pushed the door open and walked out.
Her beautiful eyes only swept over the man briefly before turning to Titus, "What's the matter?"
"Do you know him?" Titus raised his hand holding the cigarette, pointing at the man.
"Oscar Hodges," Leila said indifferently. "My dad's godson."
Hearing this, Titus straightened up unconsciously while leaning against the door, his face revealing a smile that was both sincere and hypocritical, "god-uncle?"
After a pause, Titus hurriedly invited Oscar inside, "Why didn't you say so earlier? Come in, have a seat."
However, Oscar remained motionless at the doorway, his expression cold.
Seeing this, Titus also felt awkward, suddenly slapping Leila on her plump buttocks, "Why not hurry up and make tea for the god-uncle? I have some fine Peppermint tea in my suitcase."
Leila's expression froze, as if struck by lightning.
Oscar was also stunned.
He had just said that if Titus dared to lay a finger on Leila, Titus Clement family's lineage would end tonight!
Titus's action was clearly a challenge to himself!
A cold light flashed in Oscar's eyes, but he remained still.
He was waiting.
What Titus did indeed angered him.
But Oscar knew very well that Leila must be even more furious.
As long as she spoke up, Oscar would immediately disable Titus.
But after a long wait, Leila merely said expressionlessly, "Don't touch me in front of others in the future."
Saying that, she turned and walked back into the master bedroom.
This scene made Oscar frown deeply, doubting for a moment if Leila had been kidnapped by Titus.
The Miss Hodges, who usually found talking to men disgusting, was now hit on the buttocks and yet didn't react at all?
What on earth had this ordinary man fed her?
"Leila."
After watching Leila enter the room, Titus put on the airs of a Hodges family's matrilocal son-in-law, arrogantly said, "Based on my understanding of Leila, you definitely won't get to drink this Peppermint tea. Go back where you came from, don't disturb our wedding night."
What status do I, Titus, have? I'm someone who can sit at the table during a Hodges family banquet, and you, who at most can only sneak a few bites of food in a corner, dare to talk back to me?
Once Leila left, Oscar didn't hold back either.
He gestured for Titus to come out to the hallway.
"See that?"
Oscar pointed at the dozens of black Mercedes and over a hundred men in suits standing by the cars downstairs, an aura of solemnity enveloping the entire building.
"Are you trying to scare me?" Titus leaned out to take a look, feeling as if he was back in his original unit.
"With just one word from me, they would rush to write their wills," Oscar's gaze was icy as he lit a cigarette, speaking indifferently. "Don't be—"
Ding ding.
The grating sound of a phone ringtone interrupted, Titus pulled out his phone from his pocket, ended the call, then pursed his lips saying, "Go on."
Oscar frowned, his voice cold, "I know you have a history with the Hodges family, but you and Leila, it's impossible—"
Before he could finish, Titus's phone rang again.
Being interrupted by the ringtone twice, Oscar was somewhat angered.
But he had said everything he wanted to say.
Titus ended the call again, calmly stating, "Do you know we've already registered our marriage?"
"After tonight, no one will know," Oscar asserted confidently.
Titus stubbed out his cigarette, falling into deep thought.
It seemed not only Leila wanted to call off the marriage, but her father did too.
"Titus, I advise you to be realistic. Whether it's the disparity in status and identity, or the difference in family backgrounds, it's destined that you two cannot be together," Oscar pressed hard and soft tactics. "A toad lusting after a swan's flesh only exists in fairy tales, not in reality."
"You've hit the nail on the head," Titus straightened up, empathizing. "Leila and I have emphasized repeatedly, my ambition does not lie in love and personal feelings, only in spreading my wings one day to travel the world, how could I be trapped in a small pond? Yet she cried and shouted, insisting on no one but me, if I don't marry her, she would seek death."
"The reason for our marriage registration was purely out of humanitarianism," Titus concluded with a sense of grievance and forbearance.
Hearing this, Oscar's eyes showed a cold light.
How come you're now the swan spreading its wings? The precious jewel of the Hodges family has become the toad at the bottom of the well?
Just about to erupt in anger, Titus's phone rang again.
Oscar, with anger rising, forcibly suppressed it, "You answer first."
A chef who's been for ten years, how could he have so much business?
Titus cleared his throat, raising his volume as soon as he answered, "What? More than five thousand brothers from the eight ace divisions of the Northern Savage Army are coming to drink at my wedding? And they want to make a ruckus in the bridal chamber? Even the newly promoted Young Marshal Alan Darnell himself is coming?"
Titus stole a glance at Oscar, diplomatically saying, "Is there really a need for such a grand gesture? Didn't you just receive medals in the capital, and weren't you at the award banquet last night? With such a busy schedule, there really is no need... Ah? As the big brother of the wedding, it's impossible not to come? Hey! We're all brothers, how could I be distant with you? What? You're already in Blackhills? Ten minutes and you'll be at my place? Ah, you should have given me a heads-up, I'm not prepared for anything yet!"
Oscar listened on the side, his brows furrowing.
The eight great figure of the Northern Savage Army drinking at your wedding? Making a ruckus in your bridal chamber? That's the most elite combat force of the Malone Country, and the direct lineage of the legendary war god, Jorge.
The newly promoted Young Marshal Alan, a leading figure of the military's younger faction.
Such a high-ranking military commander, coming to drink at the wedding of a cook?
Even boasting doesn't make sense, can you even make it through alive?
Leila is to spend her life with such a man?
Not to mention a major boss, even an outsider like him wouldn't agree!
"Oscar, why don't you come back another day?" After hanging up, Titus lit another cigarette, speaking as if nothing mattered. "You heard it, my former unit's brothers are coming to drink at the wedding, and they'll be here in ten minutes. If they run into your men downstairs, it's bound to cause unnecessary misunderstandings."
"Misunderstandings can be cleared up with explanations," Oscar spoke coldly. "In ten minutes, if your brothers don't come, my men will come up."
After saying this, he made a gesture downstairs. The dark-suited tough guys, receiving the order, were eager to move, their eyes gleaming with ferocity.
"Speaking of which, we're somewhat related, why bother?" Titus said helplessly.
"If I were you, I'd pack my bags now and leave Blackhills, never to return in this lifetime," Oscar pressed on relentlessly.
"I've said it before, it was Leila who forced me to marry her," Titus said with a bit of grievance. "Is it wrong to be a simple and kind swan?"
Oscar's heart trembled, nearly pushing Titus off the fifth floor.
Ten minutes passed in the blink of an eye.
Oscar's gaze was fixed on the corner of the street. That was the only access to this dilapidated building. If the five thousand elite of the eight great figure of the Northern Savage Army really came, wouldn't they crush this broken road to pieces?
"They're here," Titus said, cigarette in mouth, squinting.
Hearing this, Oscar looked out intently.
