chapter 9 Bully at your door!

Descending the stairs, several servants busily offered tea and water to the new son-in-law, bustling with eagerness.
Titus sipped his tea, casting a sidelong glance at Leila who hadn't bathed, his resentment not yet dissipated, saying, "I can smell the stench from this far away, can't you pay some attention to personal hygiene? Would taking a bath kill you?"
Just as Leila sat down, she rose furiously, but because she stood up too hastily, her breath became uneven, and her face instantly turned pale.
Leila had always been fond of cleanliness, even to the point of being a bit of a clean freak. Had it not been for the dreadful living conditions at Titus's place, would she have ended up not undressing for bed, spending the night without sleep?
With eyes sharp as knives, she glared at Titus, went upstairs to take a bath with a cold face, her heart filled with utter despair.
Edwin, observing secretly, saw this scene, a surge of malicious anger rushing to his head.
This grandson-in-law, not only arrogant towards himself but also not pampering his sister!
What, had he come to the Hodges family to play the tyrant?
Enraged, Edwin ran back to his room, grabbed his phone, and called Oscar, "Oscar, didn't you confront that grandson last night?!"
Oscar, always bold in his actions, hesitated, "I was hosting a group of VIPs from Yoronez City last night, got held up, and by the time I was free, it was too late, feared it would disturb your sister's rest."
"And you delay my sister's significant life event?" Edwin furiously said. "Do you know that grandson has arrived at our house? Do you know how arrogant he is?"
Oscar opened his mouth, wanting to say something but then stopped.
He couldn't possibly be more arrogant today than last night.
"Oscar, in a word, when are you going to deal with him?" Edwin couldn't wait even a second.
"Let's wait a few days until those VIPs from Yoronez City leave, then we'll act," Oscar said diplomatically. "Edwin, you should have heard, something big is happening in Blackhills these days, making a scene now would not end well."
Upon hearing this, Edwin forcibly suppressed his temper, eagerly asking, "Oscar, the big event you mentioned, is it the memorial service for my idol Jorge?"
"Yes," Oscar nodded faintly. "The memorial service is in three days, and General Titus's ashes will also be buried in Blackhills. It's said that the legendary figures from the Northern Savage Army are all coming, and currently, the whole city is on alert, with the Blackhills military district on standby twenty-four hours."
Edwin took a deep breath, his heart racing.
Worthy of the legendary war god he had admired for many years, the leader of the Northern Savage Army, even his burial and memorial service were causing a city-wide sensation.
Edwin hesitated for a moment, then his attitude abruptly changed, "Dealing with that grandson can wait, but there's another matter, Oscar, you must help me with immediately."
"What is it?" Oscar sounded a bit nervous, unsure if it was because he was beaten up last night and lost confidence.
"About my idol's event," Edwin said solemnly. "As far as I know, this memorial service is not open to the public. To enter, one needs a pass. Oscar, help me get a few tickets."
"A few tickets?" Oscar's voice suddenly became sharp.
It was unclear whether he was asking Edwin exactly how many tickets he wanted, or he was shocked that he actually wanted to get a few.
"About forty or so," Edwin shrugged. "He is the spiritual idol of our entire class."
"Have you been drinking fake alcohol?"
On the phone, Oscar's tone became unusually irritable, "Do you know that the memorial service is directly in charge by the Northern Savage Army? The only reason it's held in Blackhills is because General Titus's ancestral home is in Blackhills?"
"So what?" Edwin couldn't understand why Oscar suddenly burst into anger, as he usually seemed quite composed. "What does this have to do with how many passes I organize?"
"How can it not matter?" Oscar's voice grew louder and louder. "The tickets were all given by the Northern Savage side, and the Blackhills authorities only got fifteen in total, and as a brotherly military zone of Blackhills, we only got ten. That means, in the entire Blackhills area, only twenty-five people are qualified to attend the memorial site. And you ask me for over forty? Am I supposed to carry a bomb pack and rob the Northern Savage Army's station for you?"
Edwin was scolded until he was dizzy.
Hesitating for a moment, he also felt that he was indeed asking for too much, and couldn't help feeling wronged, "Then getting four should be okay, right? The four brothers in our dorm are all hardcore fans of General Titus, and we would regret it for the rest of our lives if we couldn't send our idol off on his last journey."
"Which of the over 30,000 military academy students in your school is not a hardcore fan of Jorge? And among the more than three million soldiers nationwide, who is not a hardcore fan of Jorge? Not to mention the soldiers, how many ordinary citizens do not regard him as a national hero? According to you, should the Northern Savage Army hold a national performance with General Titus's urn, so you hardcore fans won't have any regrets?"
Edwin frowned, discontentedly said, "Oscar, if you can't get the tickets, that's fine, but don't joke about my idol!"
Has Oscar eaten gunpowder? Or was he stimulated by something? Why is he so irritable today?
Oscar also realized that his emotions were a bit out of control, subjectively imagining that the slaps from last night might have stupefied his brain, and he let out a breath of foul air, "Indeed, I can't get the tickets, and the big shots in Blackhills who got the tickets wouldn't possibly give them to me, but there is someone who might be able to help you."
"Who?" Edwin immediately perked up, impatiently said. "Brother, my dear brother, please tell me quickly!"
"Even if I tell you, you might not have the courage to ask." Oscar prefaced, afraid that Edwin, with his strong sense of pride, couldn't handle it.
But looking around Blackhills, the only person left who could get tickets from the Northern Savage side was him.
"As long as this person can get the tickets, as long as he can send our idol off on his last journey, I'm willing to be his dog!" Edwin said passionately. "Oscar, stop beating around the bush, just tell me."
"Titus," Oscar declared emphatically.
