chapter 2 Hijacking (Part 2)

To kill, whilst sitting on the sofa, enjoying a glass of cola, the man who had just committed murder seemed quite content. The middle-aged man in a white suit turned to the thug and said, "We really can't turn back now. There's not enough fuel on the plane to fly back." Obviously, he must be the captain of this plane.
The short thug didn't listen to his explanation. Going back to China meant certain death, and he wasn't foolish enough to walk into a trap willingly. "If we can't go back, then change direction. Head to either country T or YN," the short thug asserted without a doubt.
"But... if we suddenly enter, their country will treat us as enemies and shoot us down," the captain said helplessly. Entering another country's airspace, landing at their airport, involves complicated procedures. Failing to complete even one step could be seen as a violation of sovereignty. If you're lucky, you might just make an emergency landing. If not, a missile might turn you into dust.
"I don't care about that. I told you what to do, so do it. Stop with the nonsense, or I'll put a bullet in you," the short thug grew impatient. He abruptly stood up, pointing his gun at the captain's chest.
The captain sighed in resignation. With his back against the wall, he had no choice but to yield. Faced with violent thugs, there was no reasoning. If he dared to utter a word of protest, his life would be forfeit in an instant. Yet, if they managed to land safely at another country's airport, there might still be a slim chance of survival. With this in mind, the captain promptly contacted them via the radio. After seeing the captain obediently follow his instructions, the short thug relaxed and sat back down.
Just then, Alex Ye pushed open the door and swiftly entered. The short thug heard the sound, instinctively turned around, and, upon seeing a stranger, hastily aimed his gun. However, his speed was ultimately too slow. Before he could pull the trigger, a red light flashed, and the short thug fell straight to the ground. Even in death, he never understood how it happened.
For Alex Ye, killing was second nature, having received training from a young age. Familiar with the human anatomy, he knew how to incapacitate an opponent in an instant. This was a mandatory course for every member of the Wolf Fang Team.
Retrieving his dagger, Alex Ye placed the gun on the table and said to the captain, "There are three more thugs outside that I've already taken care of. Please have someone clean up, and I'll leave these guns in your custody."
The captain glanced at Alex Ye, grateful, and said hastily, "Thank you. If it weren't for you, the passengers and all crew members on this plane would have faced an unimaginable situation. Sir, may I ask for your name? After the plane lands, please accompany us to the police station and recount the events on the plane."
Alex Ye furrowed his brows, glancing at the captain. Seeing the sincerity in his eyes, he felt more at ease. However, Alex Ye wasn't keen on drawing too much attention. The National Security Bureau of China would definitely take notice if he did.
Noticing Alex Ye's unease, the captain hurriedly explained, "Sir, please don't misunderstand. It's just a routine procedure. Moreover, with the significant contribution you've made, our airport will also commend you."
"No need, thank you!" Alex Ye was not interested in being interviewed by a large group of reporters and becoming some kind of hero. He firmly declined and, turning around, walked towards the cockpit. When he reached the doorway, he suddenly stopped and said, "Captain, do you have security personnel on the plane? It was them who captured the thugs."
The captain was momentarily stunned, then nodded in agreement. After all, he wasn't a government official from any country, just an employee of the airline. Taking responsibility for this incident would be more crucial for his future. Since there was an unnamed hero willing to step aside, he was happy to accept the credit.
Before long, the plane landed safely at SH Pu Dong International Airport. Carrying his tattered military bag, Alex Ye disembarked and headed straight for the airport's exit. Inside the airport, numerous reporters and armed police were waiting. It was clear that the captain had already explained what happened on the plane.
Alex Ye wasn't sure if the captain mentioned him, but to be on the safe side, he quietly made his way through the crowd and left the airport from another side. When the captain emerged, all the reporters swarmed him, bombarding him with questions. The captain calmly recounted the situation on the plane, but made no mention of Alex Ye. He simply stated that the thugs were apprehended by the plane's security personnel, and for other reasons, he couldn't reveal the name of the security officer.
