"Despite Helen Han's quiet and gentle appearance, her temper is as stubborn as Alex Ye's. Once she makes up her mind, it's really hard to change it. Being unable to resist her, Alex Ye had to agree to go back first and let her take care of her father. Besides, her father's injuries were not serious anymore, and he could rest assured. Now the important thing was to seek justice for her father, find the thug who attacked him, and return her father the justice he deserved.
Although there were still many things he wanted to say to his father, there was no rush for them now. After all, Alex Ye was prepared to stay in the country for a long time. There was plenty of time.
After bidding farewell to her father, Alex Ye left the hospital.
It had been eight years since he left his hometown. The people he used to know had disappeared, and finding a thug he had only seen twice was indeed a bit difficult. However, Alex Ye was no longer the impulsive young man he used to be. In his eight years as a mercenary, he had learned a lot.
After taking a shower at home, Alex Ye, relying on his memory, sketched a simple portrait of the thug and carefully examined it to ensure nothing was overlooked. Satisfied, he tucked it into his pocket.
When it came to gathering information, the best option would be the police or those street hooligans. Alex Ye naturally wouldn't go to the police, and even if he did, he wouldn't be able to get any information. He could only turn to the street hooligans. As long as he gave them some money to locate someone's whereabouts, it shouldn't be too difficult.
At around ten o'clock in the evening, Alex Ye changed into a simple casual outfit, hailed a taxi, and headed to a nearby bar. The bar was a complicated place, and it was also the favourite spot for those street hooligans. It was filled with all sorts of people, and Alex Ye believed that finding someone for information wouldn't be too hard.
Before long, the car stopped in front of a bar called 'Enchantment'. Alex Ye took a quick look. It wasn't very large, but business was booming. Almost every seat inside was occupied, and the deafening music continued to roar, with men and women moving their bodies wildly.
Alex Ye sat at the bar and ordered a beer. His gaze casually swept around, seeing young guys with dyed hair in all colours and various tattoos all over. It reminded him of his youth. Back then, he was the same, hanging out in places like this bar every day. Although he didn't go as far as dying his hair and getting tattoos like them, he still drank and fought every day. He couldn't help but think about how much he had worried his father. Looking back, he really was young and reckless.
The bartender at the bar was a young woman, about twenty-five or twenty-six years old. Her complexion was fair and beautiful, and her almond-shaped eyes were full of alluring charm, with a pair of ample assets heaving in front of her, almost bursting out. Since Alex Ye entered, the beautiful bartender had been eyeing him for a while. In her two or three years working at this bar, this was the first time she had seen a man with such a strong masculine aura, especially those eyes, deep and vast like the night sky, irresistibly captivating.
" Handsome, is this your first time here? I haven't seen you before." The beautiful bartender threw a flirtatious look at Alex Ye, intentionally leaning forward, causing her ample assets to tremble slightly.
Alex Ye understood. As a bartender in a bar, she might not necessarily have any connections, but she definitely knew a lot of people from all walks of life. If he wanted to find someone's help, he might need her assistance. After all, he wasn't very familiar with the people and affairs on the streets. Even if he found someone, they might not necessarily help. Since she struck up a conversation with him, Alex Ye naturally wouldn't refuse. He nodded slightly and said, "Yes, just got back from out of town today. This bar seems to be doing well. I'm afraid many people come here just for you, right? I've been to so many bars and haven't seen a bartender as feminine as you."
Alex Ye complimented her at the opportune moment, his lips curled up in a sly smile.
After hearing Alex Ye's flattery, the beautiful bartender gave a coquettish smile, very pleased, and said, " Handsome, you really know how to charm people. This bar belongs to Brother Hu, and no one dares to cause trouble here. That's why the business is doing well."
Alex Ye didn't know who Brother Hu was, but managing a bar like this, even if he wasn't connected to the streets, he was bound to have some relationship with them. Alex Ye smiled slightly and said, "Beauty, can I ask you about someone?"
"Of course, who are you looking for? If it's about getting information, I have plenty of contacts." The beautiful bartender said with a smile.
Taking out the sketch he had drawn from his pocket, Alex Ye handed it over and said, "I want to find this person."
The beautiful bartender took it and glanced at it, asking, "What's their name?"
"I don't know. All I know is that he arrived here by plane yesterday, and he also assaulted an old man cleaning up trash outside the airport. How about it? Can you find him?" Alex Ye asked.
After a moment of silence, the beautiful bartender said, "No problem, but it might take some time. How about this, leave me your phone number, and I'll notify you when I have any news."
"Alright!" Alex Ye agreed readily and took the pen that the beautiful bartender handed him, quickly jotting down his phone number on a piece of paper.
"The price is two thousand, but this one might be a bit more complicated, so I'll charge you three thousand. Even if we can't locate the person, the deposit won't be refunded." The beautiful bartender said skilfully. Although she wasn't a gangster, she still had some connection to Brother Hu. Helping Brother Hu's men with some simple business was fine. After all, it was just a matter of finding someone. Besides, she always got a ten percent commission every time she took on a job. It wasn't much, but it was extra money. Why not do it for others and herself? Although she had a favourable impression of Alex Ye and felt good about him, she couldn't break this rule.
Alex Ye didn't haggle and readily took out two thousand yuan from his pocket, saying, "Consider the remaining five hundred as my treat for the drinks."
The beautiful bartender also didn't act coy and accepted it with a smile, saying, "Thank you, boss. Wait for my good news."
Alex Ye nodded slightly, said "Goodbye," and got up to leave.
"Boss, my name is Little Dragon Girl!" The beautiful bartender called out.
Alex Ye paused for a moment, chuckled, looked back at her, and said, "I'll remember." After that, he smiled and walked out. Little Dragon Girl, she was like a fairy. Alex Ye really couldn't imagine what resemblance there could be between her and Little Dragon Girl. If there had to be any resemblance, it was probably that neither of them were virgins."
