Edwin let out a soft sigh, then crouched down. The child had a sweet face, quite easy on the eyes. Normally, Edwin wouldn't have spent time doing something like this, but at this moment, he felt like he wasn't quite himself.

"How old are you? Did your mommy give you pants like this?" When he saw that Mattew's pants zipper was indeed stuck, he couldn't help but furrow his brows a little.

Mattew whispered, "I'm four years old! I'm a big boy!"

"A big boy, but can't fix a stuck zipper?"

Edwin wasn't one to speak so many words usually, but something was different this time. He just found the child before him oddly comforting, so he couldn't help but say a few more things. A fleeting emotion passed through Mattew's eyes, too quick to catch.

"Alright."

The moment Edwin unzipped the pants, Mattew shouted, "Ah, uncle, I can't hold it anymore!"

"What?"

Before Edwin could react, a wave of warmth and an odd smell hit his face.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to!" Mattew quickly apologized, then squirmed into the cubicle like a fish, shutting the door.

Only then did Edwin realize what had been sprayed on his face!

Damn it! The president of the YH Group got peed on by a little kid?

Edwin was furious. "You brat, come out!"

He hadn't been this angry in years.

Meanwhile, Mattew lay in the cubicle, sporting a triumphant grin. However, he exclaimed, "Uncle, I'm sorry, I really couldn't hold it in anymore. Just wait a minute, and I'll ask my mommy to compensate you, okay? How about I return the favor?"

These words nearly left Edwin in disbelief. Could the esteemed president of YH Group be subjected to such a childish act?

Is this even conceivable?

Edwin couldn't shake off the lingering indignation, and the sensation on his face was unbearably unpleasant. He hastily rinsed it with water, yet the discomfort persisted. He resorted to using hand sanitizer, vigorously rubbing his face three or four times in succession, but the odor seemed undiminished.

Meanwhile, Mattew eavesdropped on the proceedings with a sly smile playing on his lips.

He thought, Who let you bully mommy? Who let you abandon us? Today, let me give you a small lesson. Consider it interest accumulated over the years. From now on, we'll settle scores.

Mattew's eyes gleamed with the joy of success, though he still pretended to cry. "Uncle, please don't hit me, okay? Just imagine it's your son who peed on you. I didn't mean to. And please don't tell my mommy, okay? She'll beat me to death! Waaah!"

In the end, Mattew was simply feigning tears.

Edwin's movements froze. His son? If Mila hadn't died that year, would their children be this age now?

Edwin gazed at his reflection in the mirror, thoroughly embarrassed. His hair was damp, clinging to his forehead. His phoenix eyes with dark circles looked furious.

Phoenix eyes? Edwin suddenly realized that the child from before had eyes just like his. No wonder he found the kid vaguely familiar; it was those eyes.

In all of Han City, there were only a handful of people with phoenix eyes. Perhaps that's why he had a bit more patience for that brat.

Edwin sighed and spoke coldly, "No one is to speak of what happened today, including your mommy. Understand? If you run into me again in the future, don't mention knowing me."

"Okay, I got it! I promise not to tell!"

Mattew agreed swiftly, looking so well-behaved it was hard to scold him.

Today, Edwin was undoubtedly forced to swallow this bitter pill. He glanced at the cubicle dejectedly, then left the restroom, seething.

"Mr. Ye, what happened?"

The assistant's concerned voice reached him, but Edwin strode away.

When Mattew heard silence outside, he emerged from the cubicle. He watched Edwin's angry departure, a slight smile playing on his lips. He retrieved a tiny camera from beneath the sink, then stashed it in his pocket, washed his hands, and left the bathroom.

Mila had exited the bathroom long ago, but Mattew still hadn't returned. She grew a little worried. As she was about to check on him, she spotted Edwin storming out of the bathroom, hair wet, like he'd just washed it.

Mila knew Edwin was meticulous about his appearance in public. She observed him, hidden as much as possible.

She's back. She'd reclaim what was owed from five years ago, slowly and surely.

After Edwin left in a huff, Mattew also emerged from the bathroom.

"Mattew."

Mila grabbed his arm, inspecting him from head to toe. She let out a sigh of relief upon finding he wasn't hurt.

Mattew knew exactly what Mila was concerned about, but he pretended otherwise. "Mommy, what's wrong? I just went to the bathroom. Why do you look so worried? By the way, that uncle just now was so handsome. What do you think, Mommy?"
