"Miss Katherine's eloquence matches your design talent, I must say," Edwin remarked lightly, releasing her hand.

With that, she left YH Group without hindrance from Edwin this time.

"What brings you here?" Edwin's face remained as icy as ever, further unsettling Carrie.

Edwin regarded her with a piercing gaze that Carrie couldn't bear. "Edwin."

He could never forget the shrewd expression Carrie had worn when he first stepped out of the elevator.

"She is Katherine, the renowned car designer from the American HJ Group. She's also the designer I've gone to great lengths to recruit. Edwin paid no heed to Carrie's emotions. He stated coldly and exited the hall.

Tom followed Edwin without a word. Once inside the elevator, he overheard Edwin saying, "Find out which hotel Miss Katherine is staying at. Select an extravagant gift and have it delivered. Tell her it's my apology."

"Mr. Ye, didn't you ask Miss Chu to apologize? Why are we doing this as well?" Tom asked, puzzled.

Edwin glanced at him and explained calmly, "Carrie went to apologize to mend personal grievances. Our company's apology is to express our corporate stance. Do you truly believe Miss Katherine has no interest in collaborating with us? She's merely using this incident as a pretext, trying to assert herself. But this woman is quite fascinating; she's adept at playing hard to get. Forget it, select an extravagant gift. I'll personally deliver it."

Tom was taken aback.

"Mr. Ye, are you planning to meet her in person? Wouldn't this be giving her too much face?"

"What she desires is for me to extend a personal invitation. As for her actual intentions, I'll need to find out. So, just do it."

After Edwin finished speaking, he exited the elevator and headed straight back to his office. Tom, however, was no longer composed.
